Chen's mother and Chen Laizi were both standing at the door, looking at them with concerned expressions on their faces.
"Mom, Dad, I'm fine." Chen Xiaoru said with a smile.
Mother Chen nodded and patted Chen Xiaoru's hand: "I'm glad you're okay, I'm glad you're okay."
Chen Laizi looked at Zhou Si and said, "Zhou Si, this will be your home from now on. If you have any problems, just tell us. Don't keep it in your heart."
Zhou Si nodded, a warm feeling welling up in his heart. He knew that he had truly found a home, a warm home.
The family went back into the house and continued discussing the celebrations after the ancestral hall was completed. The atmosphere became lively again, as if the unpleasantness had never happened.

After dinner, Zhou Si and Chen Xiaoru returned to their room.

"Don't worry, I'm here." Chen Xiaoru held Zhou Si's hand and said softly, "I will protect you and won't let anyone bully you."
Zhou Si looked at Chen Xiaoru's determined eyes, and a warm feeling welled up in his heart. He held Chen Xiaoru's hand tightly and said, "I know, with you here, I'm not afraid of anything."
"Yeah." Chen Xiaoru nodded and snuggled in Zhou Si's arms.
