Chapter 5: The Emperor's Peasant Wife 4

"film."

Xuanyuan Che spoke, his voice low and magnetic.

A burly middle-aged man immediately stepped forward and bowed his head respectfully.

"What are your commands, Your Majesty?"

Xuanyuan Che's gaze became sharp, as if it could penetrate people's hearts.

"You stay and protect Chen Xiaoru."

He paused and continued,

"Make sure she's safe. If anything seems out of the ordinary, notify me immediately."

Ying was slightly startled, then responded respectfully:

Xuanyuan Che nodded with satisfaction, then turned to the other secret guards.

"Okay, host. But you must understand that time is running out. If you continue to slack off like this, the consequences will be very serious."

Chen Xiaoru didn't answer, but just wrapped the quilt tighter. Her breathing gradually became steady, and she seemed to have really fallen asleep.

The system waited a moment longer, confirming that Chen Xiaoru had no intention of responding, before reluctantly stopping its persuasion. But in the silent room, its low, warning voice still echoed: "Host, I hope you won't regret it..."
