"What's going on? Are you all mute?!" Chu Tianche growled. His voice was not loud, but it was like a pair of small knives stabbing into the hearts of several female colleagues. They were so scared that they dared not breathe, and they all shrank their necks like quails.
The woman who was so sarcastic just now lowered her head, not daring to look Chu Tianche in the eye, and said hesitantly:
"Nothing... nothing, Mr. Chu, we... we were just chatting..."

Chu Tianche then turned around and looked at Chen Xiaoru. His eyes were as if he was looking at a bullied kitten, and he felt so distressed.
"Secretary Chen, don't worry about this. Leave it to me and focus on your work."
Chen Xiaoru nodded, a warm feeling welling up in her heart. She knew that Chu Tianche was really angry this time, and she believed that he would definitely seek justice for her.

Chu Tianche glanced at the remaining female colleagues and spoke in a stern tone.
"Now, return to your job immediately. If I hear any more rumors about Secretary Chen, you will be fired!"

Only Chu Tianche and Chen Xiaoru were left in the tea room, and the atmosphere was a little subtle.

Chen Xiaoru nodded, turned and left the tea room.
Chu Tianche pursed his lips tightly, fished out his phone from his pocket, and quickly slid his fingertips across the screen before dialing a number. He put the phone close to his ear and spoke in a low voice, like a volcano suppressing its rage: "Zhou Chen, check for me! Where did all the recent gossip about Chen Xiaoru in the company come from? I'm going to find out who's behind this, one by one!"
Zhou Chen on the other end of the phone was always efficient and decisive, but this time, he was unusually silent for a few seconds before slowly speaking with a serious tone in his voice:
"President, we've already investigated. Those rumors were spread by Song Yan, but... this matter may not be that simple. The person behind her... is Su Qing, the daughter of the Su Group."
When Chu Tianche heard the name "Su Qing", his brows knitted even tighter. The knuckles of his fingers gripping the phone turned slightly white due to the force. The corners of his mouth curled up in a cold arc, and there was no warmth in his voice:

When Su Qing learned that Chu Tianche actually stood up for Chen Xiaoru, she was so angry that she almost crushed her phone!
