Chu Tianche closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm himself down.
He knew that confronting Chu's mother head-on would only make things worse. He slowed down his tone and said as calmly as possible:
"Mom, I don't want to argue with you. I just want to know why you fired Chen Xiaoru? What did she do wrong?"
"What did she do wrong?"
Mother Chu snorted coldly.
"Her biggest mistake was seducing you! Tianche, you are my son, I won't let you make any mistakes! That Chen Xiaoru is not worthy of you at all! Only the daughter of the Su family can become the daughter-in-law of our Chu family!"
Chu Tianche's temples throbbed, and he felt a deep sense of powerlessness. He knew that Chu's mother's obsession with the Su family had reached a deep-rooted level, and no matter how he explained, she would not believe it.
"Mom, you are prejudiced against Chen Xiaoru."
Chu Tianche's voice was a little tired. "She is not the kind of person you think. She works very hard and is very good. She..."
“That’s enough!”
Mother Chu interrupted him again, her tone becoming impatient.
"Tian Che, I don't want to hear you defend her anymore! Anyway, I've already fired her, so you'd better give up on this idea! If you still recognize me as your mother, then just marry the Su family's daughter and stop worrying me!"
After saying that, Mother Chu hung up the phone.

Chu Tianche clenched his phone fiercely, his knuckles turning white from the force. His gloomy face was reflected on the phone screen, his eyes were as deep as a cold pond, and anger was burning in his eyes, as if he wanted to devour everything.
He exhaled slowly, his chest heaving violently as he tried his best to suppress the emotions surging in his heart.
There was a sneer on the corner of his mouth, and that smile was full of determination and ruthlessness, which made people shudder.
Chu Tianche suppressed his anger, his face turned ashen, he picked up the landline, his fingers almost poking through the buttons, and dialed the internal line.
"Assistant Zhou, come to my office immediately!"
The voice was low and full of unquestionable authority.
After just a few seconds, there was a knock on the office door, and Zhou Chen walked in. He sensed the low pressure surrounding the president and spoke cautiously:
"Boss, you're looking for me?"
Chu Tianche raised his head, a cold light flashed in his eyes, he looked directly at Zhou Chen and said word by word:
"Cause some trouble for the Su Group?"
His tone was calm, yet it was chillingly cold. The aura he exuded made Zhou Chen straighten his back involuntarily.
Zhou Chen answered immediately without hesitation:
"Understood, President! I'll arrange it right away." He paused and asked tentatively, "President, do you want to suppress it completely, or..."
Chu Tianche leaned back in his chair, tapping the tabletop lightly with his fingers. The dull sound seemed to strike at Zhou Chen's heart. He narrowed his eyes, thought for a moment, and then spoke slowly:
"Start with their funding chain and find out the Su Corporation's recent projects, especially those in collaboration with the government. I want to know every detail."
"yes!"
Zhou Chen responded immediately, took out a notebook and pen, and quickly recorded Chu Tianche's instructions.
"I will arrange for someone to conduct a secret investigation and find out the details of the Su family as soon as possible."
"in addition,"
Chu Tianche's voice sounded again, with a hint of unquestionable toughness.
"I want to know Su Qing's recent movements, who she has been in contact with, what she said, what she did, everything, no matter how big or small, must be reported to me."
"Understood, President."
Beads of sweat formed on Zhou Chen's forehead. He knew the CEO was truly furious. The Su family was facing an unprecedented crisis.
"Go ahead and give me the results as soon as possible."
Chu Tianche waved his hand, and Zhou Chen immediately turned around and left the office, his steps hurried but steady.
Silence returned to the office. He stood up, grabbed the car keys on the table, and walked out with a determined look.
Chen Xiaoru was completely unaware of Chu Tianche's arrival. Ever since returning from her trip to S City, she had been staying at home, watching TV series all day to pass the time.
In the living room, an idol drama was playing on TV. Chen Xiaoru was lazily curled up on the sofa, holding a bag of potato chips in her hand.
Ding Dong Ding Dong
The doorbell rang suddenly.
"The takeaway arrived so soon?"
Chen Xiaoru thought casually as she walked to the door and opened it. When she saw who it was, her face changed drastically. Instinctively, she wanted to close the door, but Chu Tianche quickly stopped her.
He pushed hard, and the door opened. Chen Xiaoru stumbled back, and Chu Tianche strode in, closing the door tightly with his backhand.
Inside the room, their eyes met. Chu Tianche's gaze was like two sharp knives, scraping back and forth at Chen Xiaoru's face, which gradually overlapped with the blurry figure of Cheng Huan beneath him that night.
Chen Xiaoru was frozen stiff by the chill emanating from his body, her back felt cold, and she subconsciously took a step back, trying to keep some distance.
Chu Tianche approached, his eyes sharp as a knife, staring straight at Chen Xiaoru's face, as if he wanted to see through her. His teeth were clenched, his jawline was tense, his Adam's apple rolled up and down, and his voice was trembling with a hint of suppression:
"Chen Xiaoru, you're great!"
He suddenly stretched out his hand and grabbed Chen Xiaoru's wrist with astonishing force. Chen Xiaoru felt pain and couldn't help but frown. She wanted to break free, but he held her tighter.
"Do you think I'm easy to fool?"
He pressed her word by word, each word coming out from between his teeth, as cold as ice.
