Chu Tianche pressed the button on the bedside, and the bed slowly rose, allowing Chen Xiaoru to sit comfortably. He opened the lunch box, which contained chicken porridge. He scooped a spoonful of porridge and brought it directly to Chen Xiaoru's mouth. His deep voice carried an irresistible command: "Open your mouth."
"You're injured, so you can only eat light food now."
Chu Tianche scooped up a spoonful of porridge, blew it gently to cool it, and brought it to Chen Xiaoru's lips, saying gently, "When you get better, I'll take you to a big meal."
Chen Xiaoru's gaze shifted from his focused face to the porridge held to her mouth, a faint blush appearing on her pale face. She struggled to sit up and reached out to take the bowl:
"I can do it."
Chu Tianche turned slightly to avoid her hand. His deep eyes stared at Chen Xiaoru, his tone gentle but with unquestionable firmness:
"You're still injured, it's inconvenient, I'll feed you."
He scooped up a spoonful of porridge, blew on it gently, tested the temperature, and then carefully brought it to her lips.
Chen Xiaoru couldn't resist his gentle attack, so she had to give up resistance, opened her mouth slightly, and swallowed the porridge with the aroma of chicken.
After finishing his bowl of porridge, Chu Tianche threw the empty lunch box into the trash can and asked softly:
"Xiao Ru, do you want to sit for a while or should I roll the bed down so you can rest for a while?"
"I just finished eating and I want to sit for a while." Chen Xiaoru said softly, with a hint of fatigue in her voice.
"Well, okay, I'll go out first." Chu Tianche said, turned and walked into the bathroom, washed his hands carefully, and dried them with a tissue before leaving the ward.
He closed the door gently, and his tall figure disappeared behind the door. Only Chen Xiaoru was left in the ward, leaning quietly against the head of the bed.
