Chu Tianche hurried to the hospital and pushed open the door of the ward. A strange atmosphere hit him.
He immediately saw Chu's mother sitting on the sofa. Her cheeks were red and swollen, with a trace of blood at the corner of her mouth. Her eyes were panicked, and her heart sank suddenly. He asked with concern: "Mom, what happened? Are you... okay? Why is your face so swollen?"
Mother Chu covered her face, her eyes dodging, her voice trembling slightly: "Tian Che, you're here, I... I'm fine, I'll leave first."
After saying that, she stumbled out of the ward as if she was escaping from some monster.
Chu Tianche looked at his mother's embarrassed back, his heart full of doubts. What on earth was going on? He turned to look at Chen Xiaoru who was sitting on the bed. She had a sneer of disdain on her face, but her eyes flashed with a complex light. She asked curiously:
"Xiao Ru, what happened? What happened to my mother?"
"Obviously, I beat up your mother."
Chen Xiaoru's voice was frighteningly calm, as if everything that had just happened had nothing to do with her. She simply stated a fact, "As you can see, the wound on her face is evidence."
"Why did you two start fighting?"
Chu Tianche couldn't understand. In his impression, although Chen Xiaoru had a stubborn personality, she was definitely not the type to hit anyone. Moreover, the other person was his mother. There must be some misunderstanding. "Xiaoru, you're not such an impulsive person. What's going on?"
"Oh, nothing."
Chen Xiaoru said it lightly, as if she was talking about a trivial matter, "Your mother paid me to leave you, and I didn't agree. Then she scolded me, and I couldn't help it..."
She shrugged, with an expression that said, "I just hit you, what can you do about it?", but there was a hint of provocation in her eyes.
"Is that so! How much money did my mom give you to leave me?"
Chu Tianche was not angry, but asked with a hint of curiosity. He wanted to know how much he was worth in his mother's heart.
"Did she give you too little, so you took action?"

Chen Xiaoru curled her lips, her tone carrying a hint of dissatisfaction and ridicule, "She wants to get rid of me with just 10 million. She really underestimates me."
Chu Tianche said as he walked: "Indeed, it's a little less."
He walked to the bedside, his eyes scanning Chen Xiaoru's body, carefully checking if she had any injuries. After confirming that she was not injured, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief and said gently:
"Fortunately, you are not hurt and the child is fine. If you were hurt under my protection, I don't know what I would do." He gently stroked Chen Xiaoru's hair, his eyes so gentle that tears could drip from them.
"By the way, Mr. Chu, don't you look like someone who has a wife and has forgotten his mother? If your mother knew, would she cry or laugh?"
Chen Xiaoru leaned against the headboard, a sly look flashing in her eyes, and a hint of teasing in her tone, "Aren't you afraid that I'll beat your mother to death?"
Chu Tianche tapped Chen Xiaoru's forehead, his eyes full of doting, "You! But, you just said you are my wife, do you agree to marry me?"
There was a hint of anticipation and tentativeness in his tone.
"Marry you? Wishful thinking."
Chen Xiaoru rolled her eyes at him and changed the subject, "Have you finished dealing with the affairs of your company? You rushed here so soon." Her eyes were vague and she didn't dare to look directly into Chu Tianche's burning gaze.
"Company affairs are not as important as you."
Chu Tianche held her hand and said affectionately, "You are more important than anything else in my heart."
"Okay, I'm fine here, go to the company! Or go see your mom!"
Chen Xiaoru urged impatiently, but a complex emotion flashed across her eyes, as if she felt guilty and a little worried. "I'm fine, aren't I? Are you afraid that I'll run away?"
"Xiao Ru, why don't we be discharged from the hospital? I'm worried about you staying here."
Chu Tianche held her hand and said gently, "I'll go see my mother later. As for the company's affairs, I'll let Zhou Chen handle it. I always feel uneasy when you are in the hospital. It's better to go home and feel at ease."
When Chen Xiaoru heard that she could be discharged, her eyes suddenly lit up and she asked in surprise, "Really? Didn't you say it would take another two days before you could be discharged? Can you leave so soon?"
"Isn't this because you feel unsafe here? However, you have to live with me when you are discharged from the hospital."
Chu Tianche looked at her with burning eyes, "This way I can take better care of you, what do you think?"
Chen Xiaoru pouted and said reluctantly: "Why? I want to go back to my own home, and now that Su Qing has gone in, I should be safe. It's so inconvenient to live with you!"
"No, you are pregnant now, and you are pregnant with four children. I am worried."
Chu Tianche's tone was firm, and he would not tolerate any arguments. "You must live with me. I have someone to take care of you there, so that I can feel at ease. What if something happens when you are alone at home?"
His eyes were full of worry and persistence, and he didn't give Chen Xiaoru any chance to refuse.
Chen Xiaoru looked at his resolute expression and knew that it was useless to object. In the end, she nodded in compromise and muttered softly, "How overbearing..."
Seeing her agree, Chu Tianche smiled. He gently helped her pack her luggage and carefully handled the discharge procedures, muttering, "You must be obedient in the future and don't be so willful anymore."
After everything was settled, he carefully helped Chen Xiaoru out of the hospital, and reminded her: "Walk slowly and be careful on the steps."
