In the evening, Chen Xiaoru slowly opened her eyes, and what came into view was Chu Tianche's handsome face with sharp edges. His eyes were closed, and his long eyelashes cast a shadow under his eyelids, and the usually cold lines were now much softer.
Chen Xiaoru's heart skipped a beat. She stared at him infatuatedly, her eyes as gentle as water. She had to admit that Chu Tianche's face was impeccable, with deep and three-dimensional features, each of which was just right for her aesthetic taste.
She couldn't help but reach out her hand, gently sliding her fingertips across his high nose bridge, tracing the shape of his thin and sexy lips, and feeling the vigorous vitality beneath his skin.
Chu Tianche slowly opened his eyes and met Chen Xiaoru's panicked and evasive eyes. He keenly caught the fleeting obsession in her eyes. A strange feeling flashed through his mind, and he subconsciously grabbed the hand that was messing with his face.
"Awake?" He spoke, his voice low and hoarse, with a hint of laziness as if he had just woken up, which seemed particularly seductive in the quiet room.
Chen Xiaoru suddenly came back to her senses, as if she had been scalded, and her face turned red. She hurriedly pulled her hand back, her eyes dodging, not daring to look him in the eye. She was like a frightened little rabbit, wishing she could find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
She lowered her head, her long eyelashes trembling slightly, like butterfly wings, gently brushing across the tip of his heart, bringing a tingling sensation.
"Hmm..." She responded in a voice so soft and inaudible that she lowered her head even lower.
"How are you now? Does it still hurt?" There was a hint of imperceptible tenderness in Chu Tianche's voice. His eyes fell on her flushed cheeks, and an inexplicable emotion surged in his heart.
Chen Xiaoru shook her head gently, her lips moving as she whispered, "Much better, thank you."
"That's good." Chu Tianche felt relieved. His nerves, which had been tense all day, finally relaxed. The corners of his mouth unconsciously rose slightly, revealing a faint smile.
"Um..." Chen Xiaoru bit her lip and asked, "You...you won't...stay here to watch over me the whole time, right?"
"Yeah." Chu Tianche nodded, his voice low, "I'm worried about you being here alone."
"You... don't you have to go to the company? You are so busy, but you are still here taking care of me?" Chen Xiaoru bit her lower lip with her pearly teeth, her eyes wandering, and asked cautiously, with a hint of expectation in her voice that she herself had not even noticed.
"I have arranged everything for the company. You don't have to worry, just have a good rest." Chu Tianche looked at her with deep eyes and a firm tone, as if he was making a promise.
Chen Xiaoru looked at him with soft eyes and slightly upturned lips, and said softly: "Okay! You are the boss and you have the final say, but can you get up first?" After she finished speaking, a blush appeared on her face and her eyes were a little evasive.
"Huh? What's wrong?" Chu Tianche was stunned and realized that he was still leaning over. The distance between them was so close that it was a little ambiguous. He could even feel her warm breath spraying on his face, with a faint sweet fragrance.
"I... I want to go to the bathroom." Chen Xiaoru lowered her head, her voice as thin as a mosquito, and two blushes appeared on her cheeks.
"You are still very weak, I will carry you there," Chu Tianche said, bending down and picking her up sideways.

Chu Tianche stood at the door, listening to the subtle sounds coming from the bathroom, and a strange feeling surged in his heart. He had never been so close to a woman like this before, and it was a woman who made his heart beat.
After a while, Chen Xiaoru's voice came from the bathroom: "I... I'm fine."
Chu Tianche turned and walked in, picked her up again, walked to the bed, and gently placed her on the bed.
"You take a rest first. I'll call you when dinner is ready." Chu Tianche said as he tucked the corner of the quilt for her.
"Yeah." Chen Xiaoru nodded obediently, closed her eyes, and her long eyelashes cast a shadow under her eyelids.
In the following days, Chu Tianche did as he said, staying in the hospital all the time and taking care of Chen Xiaoru meticulously.
That day, Chen Xiaoru really couldn't stand the smell of disinfectant in the hospital. Her injuries had almost healed, and if she stayed any longer, she felt like she was going to mold.
"Boss Chu," she tugged at Chu Tianche's sleeve, her voice soft and tender with a hint of coquettishness, "When can I be discharged from the hospital?"
Chu Tianche was working on documents with his head down. He raised his head when he heard the words, and his deep gaze fell on her small face the size of a palm. His clear eyes were full of desire, like a little animal that had been locked up for a long time, and couldn't wait to run towards freedom.
"You can be discharged from the hospital in two days." He put down the documents in his hand, with a slight smile on his lips.
"Um."
Chen Xiaoru nodded, her eyes sparkling like two twinkling stars. She thought for a moment, then couldn't help but ask, "Boss Chu, Su Qing..."
Chu Tianche saw her hesitation and understood. He put down the documents in his hand, leaned forward slightly, and approached her. His low voice rang in her ear:
"Xiaoru, don't worry. Su Qing has been put in jail, and the Su Group has collapsed." His tone was flat, as if he was talking about a trivial matter, but Chen Xiaoru heard a hint of thunder in it.
