Street-side food stalls.
Niu Dachun ordered three dishes and a soup. After the dishes were served, neither of them had much of an appetite.
Niu Dachun was upset because he had eaten chicken, while Miao Runfang was upset because she had too many things stuck in her throat.
After taking a sip of water, Miao Runfang recounted all the changes that had happened in her family over the past four years.
"Dachun, your father is dead."
