"Fu Jingsheng, where have you been?" Rong Yan pricked up her ears to listen.
Haicheng foot massage is quite famous. Fu Jingsheng went to give her a massage while she was asleep.
"I bought some seafood on Baihua Street across the street, I'll be right back." The man turned and swung his arm to avoid the hand that was being offered to him.
The strange woman tried to grab Fu Jingsheng's arm and, when no one was looking, said to him, "Save me."
"Is he really your boyfriend?" the dark-skinned man asked, pressing his tongue against his cheek.
"Hmm, brother, why would I lie to you? I left the club a long time ago." The woman leaned closer to Fu Jingsheng.
"Really? Pretty boy?" The man who was pestering Fu Jingsheng raised an eyebrow and asked, "So fair-skinned, you look like a gigolo. Little Lily, wouldn't you like to be with me?"
gigolo? Freeloader? What the hell? Rong Yan was completely confused by the conversation on the other end.
Someone who frequents clubs, ran into by a client? So they used him as a shield, Fu Jingsheng immediately understood.
"Little Lily, you're not lying to me, are you? You just grabbed a random stranger to pretend to be your boyfriend, and he doesn't even seem to recognize you," the stranger said, glancing at Fu Jingsheng's attitude.
The woman nudged his arm and gave him a pleading look.
"Yes," Fu Jingsheng reluctantly uttered a single word.
The stranger lingered for a while longer, but seeing that Fu Jingsheng's attitude was becoming increasingly firm, he released Xiao Baihe.
"Hey, honey, something just came up. I'll explain when I get back. I'll be there soon," Fu Jingsheng said to Rong Yan as he picked up the phone.
After being rescued, Xiao Baihe secretly followed Fu Jingsheng to the hotel.
Rong Yan was waiting downstairs.
Seeing Fu Jingsheng run over, she jumped onto him and said, "Husband."
The man was carrying a lunchbox and couldn't hug her, so he gently tapped the tip of her nose.
Little Lily suddenly popped out: "Brother, you were so serious just now, but you're quite gentle now."
Rong Yan and Fu Jingsheng were both startled.
"Who?" Rong Yan asked the man for an explanation.
"Why are you here?" Fu Jingsheng didn't expect that helping someone casually would lead to them following him to the hotel. Could it be that they're trying to extort money from him?
Xiao Baihe walked up to Fu Jingsheng familiarly: "We people of Haicheng know how to repay kindness. You are a tourist, right? Since you helped me, I can be your tour guide for free."
The girl in front of her looked to be in her early twenties, seemingly a recent graduate. Despite her young age, she seemed completely unsuspecting, having come to the hotel with a strange man. Rong Yan was puzzled, but given Fu Jingsheng's character, it couldn't possibly be a casual fling.
Fu Jingsheng took a step back, first explaining the situation to Rong Yan, and then refusing Xiao Baihe's offer. After what happened with Qin Mengyu, he dared not accept anyone's kindness.
Little Lily refused to leave.
Seeing that Fu Jingsheng disagreed, she assumed that men were afraid of their wives, so she took Rong Yan's hand again and said, "Sister, please?"
Rong Yan rudely brushed the girl's fingers away: "No, if you keep bothering me, I'll call security."
Little Lily's insistence was useless, so she had no choice but to leave dejectedly.
After leaving the hotel, she called the man on Baihua Street who was cooperating with her in the act, saying that Fu Jingsheng was unyielding to both soft and hard tactics.
That person called her useless, saying that if she couldn't handle Fu Jingsheng and Rong Yan, neither of them would survive.
Xiaobaihe had no choice but to return to the hotel and book a regular room.
Rong Yan and Fu Jingsheng returned to their room.
The seafood in the takeout container was still hot, which meant that the man hadn't spent much time with the girl.
Rong Yan took a few bites of crab and frowned, feeling that Xiao Baihe was not simple.
I've probably been schemed against so many times that I'm starting to have paranoia.
Fu Jingsheng and Rong Yan both frowned. Everything was too coincidental, so coincidental that it seemed as if someone had politely arranged it.
Fearing that Rong Yan might overthink things, he didn't voice his concerns and secretly began investigating.
In the afternoon, he stayed close to Rong Yan at the tropical rainforest park, always feeling like there was a gaze watching him from behind.
Xiao Baihe did follow him the whole way. She didn't expect Fu Jingsheng to be so vigilant, and he kept walking towards crowded places.
The instigator issued an ultimatum: news of Fu Jingsheng and Rong Yan's accident during their trip must be seen within three days.
Xiaobaihe didn't know who gave the order from above, but the person said these two targets were inhuman and deserved to die.
There is a 2,000-meter-long rafting section in the park.
Rong Yan wanted to play, so Fu Jingsheng accompanied her to queue up.
Rafting is like taking the road down the mountain, so it's obviously impossible to make a move at this point. Lily can only wait at the bottom of the mountain.
As they were about to board the light boat, Fu Jingsheng took Rong Yan's hand and said, "Let's stop drifting and go down the mountain from that side."
Rong Yan didn't understand.
After leaving the queue and walking onto another road, Fu Jingsheng said that he always felt someone was following him. He saw them queuing up and taking the cable car down, and guessed that they would wait at the end of the rafting trip. So he took them by surprise and left quickly. He would change hotels as soon as he got back.
Fu Jingsheng and his group boarded a sightseeing bus and took another shortcut down the mountain, but little did they know that the end of that shortcut would meet the end of the rafting trip.
At the foot of the mountain, I ran into Xiaobaihe.
The three people were stunned at the same time.
"Why have you been following us?" Fu Jingsheng's eyes darkened.
Xiao Baihe tried to explain that the encounter was a coincidence, but she couldn't withstand the questioning from the two people in front of her, especially when Rong Yan said she would call the police. She finally cried and told them the reason.
Fu Jingsheng decided to turn the tables on him.
They want to expose the person behind the scenes.
Back at the hotel, Rong Yan was restless. She couldn't believe that someone would go to such lengths to harm them. She ruled out Rong Bing, as Rong Bing was too intelligent to find out where they were.
She thought of someone: Xie Ke. Could it be that there was someone behind Xie Ke?
Rong Yan shared her thoughts with Fu Jingsheng, and the two of them separately asked friends to continue investigating Xie Ke.
The storm passed peacefully for two days.
Xiaobaihe received a call and was told that she had to see photos of the accident in the last half day.
