Rong Yan leaned against Fu Jingsheng's chest, her face still flushed.
She slightly lifted her eyelids: "The sun had just set when it started, and now it's night. Was it because I jumped around too much, or did you mess up my hair because you were too rough? I was lying down and didn't move much."
Fu Jingsheng smiled slightly: "Okay, it's all my fault. I accept the punishment. I'll let you torment me in a bit."
Upon hearing this, Rong Yan jumped up. She had to stay away from this dangerous man.
She climbed onto the hanging basket and sat down alone: "Fu Jingsheng, I request a truce. I'm hungry and want to eat, but I'm also tired and can't walk. Should I ask the waiter to bring it up?"
When Fu Jingsheng saw that the person in his arms was gone, he walked over, but before he could sit down, Rong Yan stopped him: "Don't sit next to me yet. I need to rest and recover my strength before we can continue tonight."
Can we continue? Upon hearing this, Fu Jingsheng quickly stepped aside and said, "Okay, I'll call the front desk and ask about the menu."
——
Fu Shi and Guo An worked an extra half-day, so they can rest at home in the evening.
The missing employee has been found; he had indeed hidden himself away because of a breakup.
Fortunately, it was a false alarm. The man, exhausted, changed out of his work clothes, called a designated driver, and headed straight to Lin Wei's house.
I drank a cup of Americano espresso in the afternoon to barely keep myself awake.
Lin Wei received a call from Guo An in advance, knowing that the man would arrive in half an hour. She booked a private room downstairs and waited for Guo An to arrive.
After working an all-night shift and getting entangled with Lin Wei for half a day, Guo An was called to work at the company without a moment's rest. He fell asleep in the car and was woken up by the designated driver, who was feeling dizzy.
I paid the fare and rested in the car for a while before going upstairs.
Lin Wei prepared some wolfberry soup and served Guo An a bowl to tide him over.
The man sat at the dining table, holding a steaming bowl of soup. In all his years in Tiancheng, this was the first time someone had made soup for him. He took Lin Wei's hand, let her sit on his lap, and said with emotion, "Thank you. I've never had such delicious soup before."
Lin Wei took the spoon: "I'll feed you. I know you're tired today, so I'll give you something to eat."
The woman hoped that Guo An would take her into the Fu family, so she went to great lengths to please him.
With a beautiful woman sitting in his lap and a sweet soup in his mouth, Guo An was so happy he was completely lost in the moment, without having to lift a finger.
His eyes were fixed on Lin Wei. When he finished the last sip of his drink, he suddenly wrapped his arms around the woman's waist, lowered himself, and kissed her.
Lin Wei covered Guo An's mouth with her hand: "Let's go eat dinner first, I'm afraid you're too tired."
"I almost acted impulsively again. Hmm, let's eat and calm down. Weiwei, I'd be willing to die for you." The man muttered as he confessed, "You're so good to me, I don't know how to repay you. Is there anything you want? I'll do my best to fulfill your wish."
Lin Wei rolled her eyes, seemingly lost in thought: "Not really for now, Brother An. You're so good to me, don't be so formal."
"Yes, yes, don't be shy. Just tell me if there's anything I need you to do," Guo An repeated.
Lin Wei had been waiting for these words, and she nodded: "Okay."
At the Japanese restaurant downstairs from the apartment building, Lin Wei took Guo An to a private room.
Guo An and the woman squeezed to one side, holding a tablet in his hand, ordering food.
Lin Wei was surrounded by Guo An in front of her, the two of them sitting together like conjoined twins.
"Brother An, how are we supposed to eat like this?" Lin Wei looked up and almost bumped into the man's chin.
Guo An whispered in her ear, "When the food is served, we'll sit separately, Weiwei. I wish we could stay like this forever, never apart for even a minute."
Lin Wei was a little scared. Guo An was so clingy. If she got rid of him after achieving her goal, would he disagree and take extreme actions?
She held the man's hand: "Brother An, I'm afraid you'll get tired of this. It's good to keep some distance now and then, so please move over to the side."
Lin Wei pushed the man away: "It wouldn't be good if the waiter saw us. Although the private room is very private, my home is upstairs. After we finish eating, we can go upstairs and do whatever we want at home."
Guo An remembered only the last sentence: "Do whatever you want? I'll make you remember this tonight."
"Okay, after all, we won't see each other for the next five days," Lin Wei replied softly.
To avoid being disturbed again, Guo An put his phone on silent.
The meal was eaten quickly, and after returning to Lin Wei's apartment, the man took a shower and changed his clothes.
Lin Wei sat in the living room and saw the news about Qingnian again. Apart from the article in the morning, Qingnian had been online more than forty times throughout the day. Did this writer really have no connection with the Fu family?
On a news platform, Rong Yan went online again and replied to several popular comments. She discovered that many people online were speculating about whether she had any connection with the Fu family.
Rong Yan never deceives her fans, so she chooses not to reply.
Fu Jingsheng went to the car to get the small umbrella and came back.
Seeing Rong Yan sitting at the computer, he asked, "Is there a lot going on at the clinic today? I see you've been typing the whole time."
"No, what did you get from the car?" Rong Yan walked over.
Fu Jingsheng wrapped his arms around the woman and said, "Guess."
"They're not planning some kind of surprise for me, are they? Jewelry again?" Rong Yan was clearly having too high hopes.
The man shook his head and pulled a large box of condoms from his pocket.
She gasped, "I knew it, you wouldn't have such a kind heart."
Fu Jingsheng pinched Rong Yan's chin: "Isn't this a surprise? It's from a proxy buyer, feels like nothing, and is ultra-thin. Let's try it out."
Since we're going to have to go through this anyway, we might as well relax.
Rong Yan turned the tables, brushing the man's hand away, standing on tiptoe, and nuzzling her nose against his chin: "Fine, if that's how you think, then it's not allowed to end until at least an hour today."
"How much of an hour?" Fu Jingsheng raised an eyebrow. "Shall we start counting from when we get down to business?"
Rong Yan retorted stubbornly, "Of course, otherwise what's the point of dawdling for fifty minutes? Anyway, Mr. Fu is awesome, so I don't have to put in much effort. You can come whenever you want."
I always felt that Rong Yan was subtly criticizing me.
Fu Jingsheng cupped the back of the woman's neck and gently kneaded it with his fingertips: "Who's being stubborn?"
He leaned down on her, pinning Rong Yan against the wall.
The woman's face contorted in pain as her bones throbbed: "Fu Jingsheng, it hurts."
He gripped her shoulders and quickly rolled over. Fu Jingsheng's back was against the wall, and Rong Yan was pressed against him, her feet lifted and suspended in the air.
Even though Fu Jingsheng had been working all day and had already done it once when he got home, how come this man is still so strong?
He held the woman's waist, making her hook her legs around him, as if it were effortless.
After being teased by Fu Jingsheng for a couple of minutes, Rong Yan went limp and was about to beg for mercy when the man's deep voice pierced her ears: "Not even two minutes yet."
What? Shouldn't we be almost there? How come it hasn't been twenty minutes yet? Rong Yan suspected that Fu Jingsheng was lying. She reached for her phone on the table, and sure enough, time seemed to have stopped.
Rong Yan's back ached terribly. When Fu Jingsheng put her down, his legs went weak and he almost fell over.
The man grabbed her arm: "Your legs are so weak, but you're still pretty stubborn."
