Chapter 17 Peeping

"Mom, is my sister asleep? Xiaoting and I miss her. Can we come to see you? The driver can take us there." Fu Jingsheng stood next to his son, teaching him sentence by sentence.

Without a second thought, Rong Yan told her son the address.

When Fu Jingsheng took his son out, Rong Bing was downstairs washing the old lady's feet.

Fu Yunlei is very clever. Before his great-grandmother could ask, he directly said that he and his younger brother were craving cakes from Sweetheart Shop and asked their father to take them there.

Rong Bing wanted to follow.

Before he could even speak, Fu Yunlei added, "Auntie, please spend good time with Great-Grandma. When they come back, bring Great-Grandma and Auntie a cake."

Grandma Fu was so pleased with herself that she told her great-grandson to hurry up and go.

Rong Bing sighed inwardly. In all the time she had been in the Fu family, Fu Jingsheng had never taken her shopping on his own initiative.

Every time, it was only when the old lady forced Fu Jingsheng to go that he would reluctantly go. But when they got to the mall, the man wouldn't even open the car door, leaving Rong Bing to shop by herself while he waited.

To outsiders, Rong Bing is Mrs. Fu, but Rong Bing herself knows that in the seven years she has lived in the Fu family, Fu Jingsheng has never even touched her finger. She lives more like the old lady's personal maid.

We left the villa.

Fu Yunlei also brought some cakes for his mother and sister.

Fu Yunting hadn't seen his mother for a long time, and although he didn't speak, he had a smile on his face the whole time.

Fu Jingsheng drove very fast.

Rong Yan prepared fruit and waited for her two sons to come over.

A moment later, I heard the doorbell ring.

"Mom," Fu Yunlei called out.

“Dad, we’re here. You can go now.” He pushed Fu Jingsheng down the steps of the villa with his little hand.

The man stood motionless.

Rong Yan rushed to open the door, but her expression immediately turned serious when she saw Fu Jingsheng. When she saw her son, she smiled again. Her expression changed faster than anything else.

The woman bent down and took her son's hand: "Xiao Lei, Xiao Ting, come in."

"Little brother!" Rong Shiyu and Rong Shimo ran down from the second floor upon hearing the voice.

Fu Jingsheng didn't say a word.

Although no one welcomed him, Fu Jingsheng lifted his foot to enter the door, but Rong Yan immediately closed the door.

The man's knee hit the door, and he stepped back, continuing to ring the doorbell.

Rong Yan turned on the video call: "There's tea in the tea pavilion on the west side of the courtyard. Wait outside."

Fu Jingsheng kicked the door a few times and left dejectedly.

He sat alone in the tea pavilion. Was this the house Rong Yan rented?

The community has a Chinese garden style. Rong Yan's apartment is quite large, about the size of the Fu family's main villa.

It's just that they didn't hire more than a dozen servants like the Fu family.

Fu Jingsheng never imagined that one day he would be locked out.

The autumn wind blew through the small, open window of the teahouse. The man sneezed, tightened his suit jacket, and looked particularly forlorn.

He wanted to go to the car and turn on the heater, but then he felt that it was closer to Rong Yan to stay in the yard.

Inside the villa, the lights were on, and Rong Yan had turned the basement into a children's playground.

It has everything: ball pit, trampoline, slides...

Although she hadn't picked up her son yet, she had already prepared many airplane models.

Fu Yunlei and Fu Yunting like it very much.

My mom's house is so beautiful. It has a playground, and the house smells wonderful. Most importantly, there aren't many uncles and aunts watching over us, so we can play whatever we want.

Mom will also play with them.

Shen Xingzhi was responsible for feeding the children water.

Fu Yunting was tired from playing and snuggled in his mother's arms. His mother's embrace was so warm that he didn't want to go home.

Even until midnight, none of the children seemed inclined to sleep.

Fu Jingsheng sat in the courtyard, his nose running.

He knocked on the door several times, but no one answered. He called his son, and all he heard on the other end was the children's cheerful laughter. He hadn't heard his son laugh so loudly in a long time, and he couldn't bear to call them away.

Fu Yunlei said that his mother's house has a big playground in the basement, which is so much fun that he asked his father to come home so they could spend the night there.

Fu Jingsheng was very curious.

There are always windows in the basement. Since we're already in the yard, we can find the direction of the basement and climb in through the window.

Fu Jingsheng followed the road and found the basement. The window was a bit high, but luckily he was 183 cm tall and could barely see it by standing on a stone.

The children frolicked in the ball pit, and Rong Yan stayed with them the whole time.

She was radiant.

If Rong Bing hadn't told him back in college that she had saved him, Fu Jingsheng would probably have confessed his feelings to Rong Yan.

When the Fu family, Rong Bing, and the other children returned home, they wondered why it had taken so long to buy a cake.

She called Fu Jingsheng.

Fu Jingsheng said that after buying the cake, Fu Yunlei saw an advertisement for a family-friendly hotel and insisted on staying there, so he wouldn't be coming back that night.

Rong Bing felt something was off.

During this period, Fu Jingsheng and the children were acting strangely.

Fu Jingsheng was seen peeking through the window by a patrolling security guard, who immediately called the police.

The sound of police cars shattered the cheerful atmosphere in the basement.

Rong Yan was stunned when she opened the door.

“Ms. Rong, this gentleman has been peeping at your window. I have called the police. Please be careful in the future. I noticed that your gate to your yard was not closed. You live alone, so you must be aware of your safety. Although the security in the community is good, there are always some perverts who may be able to sneak in.”

It was dark, and the security guard had no idea that the pervert he was talking about was the famous young master of the Fu family.

Fu Jingsheng's face turned green: "What do you mean by spying? I'm watching my own wife."

Rong Yan and Shen Xingzhi were both stunned.

How ridiculous.

After she married Fu Jingsheng, he never acknowledged her as his wife in front of outsiders.

He's divorced now, and he has a fiancée who claims to be his wife.

Indeed, the flowers in the garden are not as fragrant as the wild flowers, and the wild flowers are not as fragrant as the stolen ones.

Despicable, truly despicable.

But what am I now? Fu Jingsheng's lover?

“Dad,” Fu Yunlei called out.

"Dad? You know him?" Everyone was stunned.

“Yeah, he’s my dad. He had a fight with my mom and she just kicked him out of the house…” Fu Yunlei shrugged. “But, Dad deserved it.”

"Sorry, we made a mistake. Family harmony is the most important thing. Let's talk things over. We'll be leaving now." The security guard and police officer left awkwardly.

Peeping? Fu Jingsheng was utterly speechless.

Looking at your own wife is considered spying?

"The security guards misunderstood, please let me in." Fu Jingsheng's voice was very soft, but he didn't sound like he was begging for help at all.

Rong Yan steeled her heart and shut him out again.

When I was kicked out of the Fu family, I was in a much worse situation than Fu Jingsheng is now.

Fu Yunlei and his brother showed no sympathy for their father.

Instead, Rong Shiyu and Rong Shimo were leaning against the living room window, chatting casually with Fu Jingsheng.

As they chatted, Fu Jingsheng became even more depressed because he learned that many people were pursuing Rong Yan, especially since they kept calling her "Uncle Jian Ming," and that his mother had only ever allowed Uncle Jian Ming to come to their house.

Fu Jingsheng vowed that he would dig a hole in the ground to crawl into the house even at night.

He was no match for Ye Jianming.

In the early hours of the morning, Rong Yan discussed with the man about letting the children stay.

Fu Jingsheng's opportunity had arrived, and he asked Rong Yan to speak.
