"Fu Jingsheng, go to that bed." Rong Yan moved away from her husband's embrace.
The man tightened his grip on his wife's arm. "Don't move. I can't guarantee what will happen if you move again." Fu Jingsheng said with half-closed eyes, "Let me hold you quietly for a while."
Rong Yan obediently crawled inside again.
The next day, she was woken up by a phone call from a friend. Someone had come to her workplace and said they wanted to help clarify things for Songshan Clinic.
Rong Yan learned that a patient she had previously helped for free had found a former fellow patient and persuaded them to support the clinic.
These people found a media outlet that happened to belong to a friend, and the video interview has already been recorded. They are now seeking Rong Yan's opinion.
The woman asked for the man's contact information. She planned to talk to them, thank them for their kindness, and leave the matter at that, not wanting to involve any more people.
If public opinion deems Songshan Clinic unsuitable for existence, Rongyan would rather dissolve it. The original purpose of opening the clinic was to treat and save lives, but now, by exposing patients one by one, it will only cause them greater psychological harm.
Since it deviates from the original intention, it's better not to open it at all.
The reporter gave Rong Yan her phone number, and she dialed it immediately. The person on the other end knew it was Rong Yan calling, and her voice choked with emotion. She agreed to meet without hesitation.
——
Tiancheng Supreme Nightclub.
Lu Kai was arrested for assault. He had Liang Jia's number with him. The woman rushed over after receiving the call. The assaulted woman was sitting on a bench, covering her face. Liang Jia could see the scratches on her neck.
Lu Kai is a pervert, but he never messes around outside. Last night, Liang Jia went home, only to find that her husband had gone to a nightclub.
When the police asked Liang Jia and Lu Kai about their relationship, the woman looked at the man but hesitated to speak.
Lu Kai replied, "She is my private doctor, and she can testify that I am mentally unstable, so I attacked her unconsciously."
"Mental instability?" The woman on the bench jumped up. "If you're mentally instability, why are you going to a nightclub? You should go to a mental hospital."
Lu Kai sneered: "A woman like you dressed so provocatively, isn't she just there to serve people in that kind of place? I want you, so stop pretending to be pure and innocent."
"Watch your words." This is a frequent warning.
Liang Jia instantly understood; Lu Kai must have gone to a nightclub to have fun but was rejected.
"Sir, please don't talk nonsense," the woman reminded him. This is just an assault incident; if it were classified as prostitution, the nature of the matter would be completely different.
Liang Jia completed the formalities and bailed Lu Kai out.
The woman didn't say a word on the way.
Lu Kai said with a stern face, "Liang Jia, you can leave."
The woman looked up in surprise, staring at the man with a puzzled expression.
“She’s right, I am a pervert. Yesterday I went to a nightclub and asked her out. I told her that I usually do this and that women enjoy it. She called me a pervert and said that only a brainless person would like this. She resisted and even returned the money to me. In a fit of anger, I beat her up.”
Liang Jia lowered her eyes and rubbed her palms together.
Lu Kai actually went to a nightclub to pick up women. Liang Jia thought he was just emotionally traumatized and was venting his emotions by torturing himself. Apart from that, he had no other flaws, but he actually went to a nightclub.
And when the police asked about their relationship, Lu Kai replied, "Private doctor, she's not even my girlfriend."
"Sir, who am I to you?" Liang Jia asked after a moment's hesitation.
Lu Kai hadn't expected the woman to focus on this. He replied, "Private doctor."
Liang Jia's eyes instantly welled up with tears: "Just a private doctor?"
“Liang Jia, that’s not important. You don’t like how I treated you, do you? She said no woman likes that,” Lu Kai asked.
“I like it,” Liang Jia replied. “I’m not a normal woman; you and I are a match made in heaven.”
Lu Kai's voice suddenly grew louder: "No, I don't want to continue being a pervert, Liang Jia, leave me, you'll never be okay with me if you stay."
“Why? I’m here so you can vent your emotions. Who else can satisfy you?” Liang Jia refused.
The two argued the whole way, and in the end, Liang Jia was kicked out of the car.
This was Lu Kai's first time going to a nightclub, his first time ordering someone, and the first time someone threw money in his face and called him a pervert, saying that even spending money couldn't find anyone to keep him company.
Liang Jia has already paid a heavy price; he should avenge himself.
What the man didn't know was that Liang Jia had long since lost herself.
The woman took a taxi back to Lu Kai's company, acting as if nothing had happened.
As it was nearing the end of the workday, she took the medicine to Lu Kai's office, and only then did the man realize that she hadn't left.
He threw the glass of warm water at me: "Liang Jia, don't you have any dignity? I chased you away, and you still came back? And you still serve me?"
Liang Jia bent down to pick up the broken glass on the floor, and Lu Kai kicked her, saying, "Get out."
The woman was kicked to the ground. She stood up, clutching her aching thigh. "Sir, I know you're in a bad mood. Am I just your punching bag? But could you please not go to other women? I can give you anything you want."
Lu Kai was shocked; he didn't even know what Liang Jia was after by staying by his side.
He grabbed the woman by the neck: "Are you being a jerk? You know I'm a pervert, yet you still cling to me."
Liang Jia licked her lips, her eyes defiant: "Yes, I'm being shameless. So, can you let me stay?"
Lu Kai tightened his grip: "No, get out of here, get out."
Liang Jia felt like her neck was about to break, but the corners of her mouth were turned up. This startled Lu Kai, who quickly let go of her. The man grabbed his phone and ran out of the office.
Liang Jia touched her neck. Lu Kai had already turned her into this. How could she live without Lu Kai? Even if she died at Lu Kai's hands, she would not leave.
The woman stood guard at Lu Kai's door.
The man wandered around outside, regained his senses, and returned home. As soon as he parked his car, he saw Liang Jia.
The woman greeted her with a smile.
Lu Kai's mood worsened again. He slammed the car door shut: "You dared to come to my house without my permission."
Liang Jia tried to grab Lu Kai's hand, but the man shook her off without hesitation.
"Sir, are you hiding something from me? You can't deny yourself just because of a few words from others." Liang Jia didn't believe that Lu Kai would abandon her for no reason. She even wondered if Lu Kai had come up with a new revenge plan that was very dangerous, and therefore he was afraid of dragging her down and wanted her to leave.
Lu Kai didn't bother to explain. After entering the room, he forcefully pushed Liang Jia away, leaving the woman outside.
The nanny reported in the middle of the night that Liang Jia had not left yet.
Lu Kai got annoyed and dragged Liang Jia in by the hair.
In the living room, in front of the maids, he punched and kicked Liang Jia. The maids were terrified and tried to break up the fight, but Lu Kai scolded them.
"Mr. Lu, please stop hitting him. If you keep hitting him, someone will die. If you don't stop, I'll call the police."
"Sister Wang, don't call the police. Mr. Wang was just joking with me. Go and rest." Liang Jia stopped him.
Lu Kai pulled the woman upstairs. In the study on the second floor, the man lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and poked the cigarette butt against Liang Jia's wrist.
