Chapter 220 Dawn is breaking, let's hurry

Rong Yan took a bite of Fu Jingsheng's food and slowly raised her head: "That's enough."

Fu Jingsheng wrapped his arm around the woman's back and pulled her close to his heart: "Then let's sleep like this."

He actually let her go? Rong Yan obediently lay there, motionless.

On the second day in Tiancheng, before dawn, there was lightning and thunder.

Fu Yunting was awakened by the thunder, and the little boy sat on the bed calling for his father.

Fu Yunlei was woken up by his younger brother. He rubbed his sleepy eyes, and just then a bolt of lightning ripped through the sky. Fu Yunting covered his ears and started crying.

"Daddy, I want my daddy."

The younger brother is afraid of thunder. In the past, when Fu Jingsheng was not home during heavy rain, Fu Yunting would be taken care of by the housekeeper. Now the two brothers live in a separate room.

"Don't be afraid, little brother." Fu Yunlei sat down next to his younger brother and patted his back to comfort him.

But Fu Yunting still kept asking for his father.

Fu Yunlei could only go and call his grandmother over.

Han Yue was half asleep when she was woken up by a rapid knocking on the door. She yawned and opened the door.

Fu Yunlei held his grandmother's hand and said, "Grandma, come and see my little brother. He's been frightened."

Upon hearing this, Han Yue's drowsiness vanished, and she jogged to her grandson's room.

Fu Yunting sat with a blanket over his head, and the sound of a little boy crying came through the gaps.

Han Yue immediately hugged him and said, "Xiao Ting, don't be afraid. Grandma is here, so don't be afraid."

The little boy, tears streaming down his face, hugged his grandmother's waist and said, "Grandma, I want my dad."

Han Yue stroked her grandson's head: "Daddy will be home in a few days, little Ting, be good, Grandma will tell you a story."

She straightened the blanket, helped her grandson lie down, and began telling him a story while patting his back.

Fu Yunlei crawled into his younger brother's blanket and listened to the story as well.

It was the first time Han Yue had told a story to lull her grandson to sleep. The story was a bit incoherent, but perhaps because of her gentle voice, both children quickly fell asleep. Afraid that they would be woken up by the thunder, she asked the maid to watch over them while she went to her granddaughter's room to see if she was scared.

Rong Shiyu and Rong Shimo are even bolder than their mother.

The two of them leaned against the window, chatting as they looked outside.

"Sister, should we call Mom? She's afraid of thunder."

"Silly, Mom has Dad by her side. Dad will protect her. We don't need to worry about her."

"What if Dad is also afraid of thunder? Sister, let's call Mom."

...

The two were worried about Rong Yan. Back in H country, extreme weather often occurred in the summer, and Rong Yan almost never went out. She would wear headphones.

Han Yue opened the door and came in without them noticing.

Hearing her granddaughter's conversation, Han Yue felt a mix of emotions. After all, she was a child raised by her mother; it was so heartwarming.

"Yu, Mo." Afraid of startling them if she suddenly walked up to them, Han Yue stood at the doorway and called out to her granddaughter first.

"Grandma." The two children turned around at the same time, saw Han Yue, and smiled. They ran over happily.

"Grandma, are you afraid of thunder too? Were you woken up by the thunder?" Rong Shiyu tiptoed to touch her grandmother's head.

“Grandma, thunder isn’t scary. There are lightning rods on the roof, and the thunder is far away from us. Grandma, you can imagine it as someone singing every day, hitting high notes.” Rong Shimo used to comfort Rong Yan like this.

Han Yue hugged one of her granddaughters in each arm: "Grandma, don't be afraid. Yu Mo is so brave. When your brother wakes up, you can comfort him. Yun Ting is scared."

The little girl nodded.

"Grandma, should we check on Mom?" Rong Shiyu was still thinking about Rong Yan, and she told her grandma how afraid her mother was of thunder.

Han Yue spoke earnestly, first praising her granddaughter for being sensible, and then saying that it was still early and she shouldn't disturb her mother's rest.

Finally, she thought of checking the weather in the north of the city and found that it was sunny there.

The two little girls were relieved.

They prepared breakfast with their grandmother.

——

The parking lot of the Fu family was shrouded in a gray haze, with large raindrops hitting the cars.

At three in the morning, the Fu Group building was pitch black. After confirming that no one was around at night, Guo An brought Lin Wei to his office.

Before the car had even come to a complete stop, a torrential downpour began.

In this kind of weather, no employee would be likely to arrive at the company early. Lin Wei smiled and thought that even the heavens were on her side.

The heavy rain pattered on the ground, creating ripples, and the flying dust was washed away by the rain, turning into a murky mist.

"Weiwei, let's go to the parking garage." The ground parking lot is a few meters away from the company building, but with such heavy rain, we would probably get soaked just walking a few steps, so Guo An suggested going to the underground parking garage.

“Didn’t you say that the underground parking garage needs to be registered? Won’t people be suspicious if you come to the company at this time?” Lin Wei didn’t want Guo An to be exposed at this moment.

“I have a way.” Guo An raised his eyebrows.

The car automatically recognized the driver and entered the garage. Guo An parked in a spot without cameras, went upstairs through the emergency exit, and entered his office.

Lightning illuminated the entire building, and the floor-to-ceiling windows of Guo An's office seemed to have been split in two. Lin Wei subconsciously closed her eyes, and the man drew the curtains.

When Lin Wei visited the man's office for the second time, she noticed that there were many more green plants and the sofa had been moved.

Guo An locked the door, then picked the woman up in his arms and said, "You've been thinking about this for a long time, haven't you?"

Lin Wei hooked her arms around the man's shoulders and buried her head in his chest: "Hmm, Guo An, you're so handsome, are there any girls in the company who like you?" the woman suddenly asked.

"No," Guo An answered without hesitation.

Lin Wei didn't believe him and poked his chest, saying, "Lying will get you struck by lightning."

Guo An was about to swear to the sky that no one had ever confessed their love to him when the woman pulled his hand down: "I was just kidding. Why are you taking it so seriously? It's better if no one has, otherwise I'll feel insecure."

"Weiwei, let's go public." Guo An said, emphasizing each word. "After we go public, even if something happens in the future, no one will tell."

Lin Wei panicked and quickly came up with a reason to refuse: "That won't do. Right now is the rising period of your career. If your boss finds out that you're dating, he'll definitely think that you're not so dedicated to your work."

The woman then gave several more reasons for considering Guo An's well-being, and the man finally said, "Okay."

"It's almost dawn, let's hurry." Lin Wei gently stroked the man's chin with her fingers. "I want it twice."

Her voice was seductive; after just a few words, Guo An lost his bearings: "Don't say twice, seven times is fine too." The man tilted his head and kissed her neck.

Lin Wei tightened her grip on Guo An's shoulder, saying, "You said it, not even once less."

Guo An carried her to the French windows, pulled back the curtains, and pressed Lin Wei against the glass, facing outwards. He was behind her, his lips sliding down to her waist, his tongue probing into her shameful spot.

He parted Lin Wei's feet with his hands. The woman stood up and looked back. Guo An was kneeling on the ground, and the sounds of sucking could be heard. She bit her lip, and sounds of pleasure could not be controlled from between her teeth.
