Rong Yan gripped the bed sheet, her legs tense.
"Relax." Unable to get to the point, Fu Jingsheng patted his wife a few times. "I'll be gentle."
With the man's reassurance, Rong Yan gradually relaxed.
The bed was wobbling.
Perhaps it was because of the high frequency, but Fu Jingsheng felt increasingly aroused as it went on, so he ended the pleasure as soon as possible.
After experiencing pleasure, Rong Yan felt waves of stinging pain.
"Fu Jingsheng, take a look at this for me." Rong Yan was afraid it would break.
The man turned on the light, saw the red and swollen area, and touched it. Rong Yan shrank back and said, "Don't touch it."
Fu Jingsheng felt guilty again: "I'm injured. I promise I won't come back before I return to Tiancheng."
"Let me go, call a truce, and whoever wants me before we go back is a dog." Rong Yan knew it took two to tango; if she didn't want to, Fu Jingsheng definitely wouldn't force her. She was partly responsible, and she had to abstain from sex for the next few days.
She'll get angry with anyone who says Tian Geng isn't bad from now on.
"Mmm," Fu Jingsheng replied, kissing his wife's forehead.
In the evening, Fu Yunlei called Rong Yan, saying that Han Yue and Xiao Baihe had taken them on a trip.
"Mom, Grandma brought us to the beach!" Fu Yunlei said, pointing his phone watch at the sea.
The afterglow of the setting sun spilled onto the sea, making it sparkle and the waves roar like a thousand horses galloping.
Fu Yunlei and his brother rarely travel. Although he is the youngest son of the Fu family, he rarely gets to see the real sea.
"Mom, it's so cool here," Fu Yunting said.
"Grandma took you out," Rong Yan asked. "Where's Grandma?"
"I'm here," Han Yue greeted her daughter-in-law.
Little Lily followed and said, "Me too."
"Mom, my sister and I are digging in the sand," Rong Shimo said loudly as she sat on the beach after hearing her mother's voice.
Rong Yan gave the children a few instructions and then chatted with her mother-in-law.
Han Yue planned to stay for a week before returning home. They lived not far from Tiancheng. Rong Yan thanked her mother-in-law.
Fu Jingsheng took the phone and spoke a few words to his mother. The mother and son, who had been arguing yesterday, made up.
Regardless, the mother is very devoted to her children. In the past, she rarely accompanied even herself, preferring to travel and enjoy herself. But now, she is willing to stop traveling alone for her grandchildren.
Han Yue told Fu Jingsheng to stop being so hypocritical, but she was secretly very happy because her son rarely bowed his head to her.
The family split up to visit two different places, leaving Mrs. Fu as the sole hostess of the house.
Han Yue wanted to bring her along, but the old lady said that she had difficulty walking and would be a burden to everyone, so she insisted on staying at home.
After everyone left, the old lady called her grandson and asked him to come to Yushui Bay to keep her company. She also instructed the servants to prepare Fu Jingchen's favorite dishes.
With his brother and sister-in-law not home, Fu Jingchen felt much more relaxed when he came to visit his grandmother.
He sat down next to the old lady, asked her how she was doing, and casually inquired about his brother and sister-in-law's company.
The old lady slapped her thigh as she spoke of Madam Fu, repeatedly saying that Rong Yan was a jinx to her husbands, and that Madam Fu had never had a moment's peace since she remarried Fu Jingsheng.
Fu Jingchen pretended to speak up for his sister-in-law, saying that his sister-in-law was rich and that if it weren't for her, Fu Shi wouldn't have been able to get over her grief so quickly. The old lady didn't listen to such arguments. In her opinion, if Rong Yan hadn't appeared, Fu Shi wouldn't have encountered these things at all.
She scoffed, "She does have some money, but it was given to her by Jing Sheng when she left the Fu family."
Fu Jingchen held his grandmother's hand: "Grandma, my brother didn't give my sister-in-law that much money back then, but people outside were saying that my sister-in-law was much richer than my brother, and some even said that my brother was a gigolo. When I heard those words, I argued with them several times."
Before Fu Jingchen could finish his provocative words, the old lady got angry: "How could a man from the Fu family be a freeloader? No matter how capable Rong Yan is, she still married into the Fu family. Without Jing Sheng's money for her, how could she have the capital to do business? I always said that this woman is unlucky and brings bad luck to the Fu family."
"Jingchen," the old lady suddenly grabbed her grandson's hand, "Do you think there's anything that can remove her evil aura?"
"What is that?" Fu Jingchen didn't quite understand.
After the old lady explained, Fu Jingchen finally understood that she was up to no good.
Fu Jingchen had never had a good impression of his sister-in-law, especially after Rong Bing was kicked out of Tiancheng for her own stupidity. He felt that Rong Yan was even more formidable, and because of her, he now rarely saw his brother.
Fu Jingsheng was completely dominated by Rong Yan. Before, no matter how busy he was, he would always find time to have a meal with her every week. Now, let alone having a meal, every time he called her, he would say he had something to do and hang up the phone in a hurry after only a few words.
He wanted to get rid of Rong Yan more than anyone else, but Rong Bing's fate was clear, so he didn't dare to do anything reckless during this period.
The old lady is different. She's old, and even if she causes trouble, Fu Jingsheng can't do anything about it. When the old lady talks about Rong Yan, she doesn't seem to have any good feelings towards her.
That makes things easier. Fu Jingchen pretended to speak up for his sister-in-law while telling his grandmother about the rumors circulating outside.
The old lady became increasingly agitated as she listened, and insisted that her grandson take her to seek a talisman.
Fu Jingchen initially backed down, but when the old lady said she would go by herself if she wasn't taken, Fu Jingchen pretended to be reluctant and agreed.
He instructed his grandmother to give the same story: they went to a nearby temple to pray for blessings.
In the evening, a light drizzle began to fall again in the northern part of the city.
On the hotel's observation deck, the glass roof played a beautiful melody.
Rongyan lay on the tatami mat, enjoying the rainy scenery.
Listening to the sound of rain always makes her sleepy, and soon she started yawning.
Fu Jingsheng brought a blanket to cover his wife, and then sat beside her in a daze for a while.
In the middle of the night, Rong Yan woke up with a start and straddled Fu Jingsheng's waist.
Fu Jingsheng was startled awake by a sudden punch. After realizing it was his wife's leg, he touched her face and smiled helplessly.
Rong Yan was grinding her teeth and sleeping soundly, while Fu Jingsheng, watching his wife, couldn't sleep.
She must be exhausted to snore like that.
Fu Jingsheng carried the woman back to the bed and looked at her from the side.
The man didn't know when he fell asleep, but he was woken up by Rong Yan's coughing in the morning.
A woman's throat is dry and itchy.
Fu Jingsheng patted her back: "Did you catch a cold?"
"I'm thirsty." Rong Yan felt dizzy and thirsty, and when she opened her eyes, the world spun around her.
Fu Jingsheng gave Rong Yan some water to drink, but she continued to cough and her body was very hot.
The man quickly took her to the hospital.
In the morning, the children went to the beach and wanted to share the experience with their mother. Fu Yunting turned on the video call, and Fu Jingsheng heard his wife's phone ringing with a message and opened it.
"Dad? Where's Mom?" Fu Yunting asked when he saw that it wasn't his mother who answered the video call.
Fu Jingsheng, afraid of worrying his mother, deliberately concealed the fact that Rong Yan was in the hospital. He said, "Mom is in the bathroom. Is something wrong?"
Fu Yunting happily recounted the fun he had at beachcombing, but after a while he still hadn't seen his mother, the little boy became suspicious.
"Dad, why has Mom been in the bathroom for so long? Did you two have a fight? Did you make her leave in anger?"
