Chapter 234 Someone Will Always Get You

Rong Yan pretended to have amnesia: "Did I say that? No, how could I laugh at you? President Fu is so powerful, who would be so reckless as to laugh at President Fu?"

"Hmm?" Fu Jingsheng raised an eyebrow. "Am I hard of hearing?"

Rong Yan pushed the man's shoulder upwards: "Okay, I said it, but that's not what I meant. I'm just being stubborn. It's just that every time we're together, I... I can't handle it. It's a rare opportunity to tease you. You really hold a grudge."

Rong Yan bit her lip, filled with regret. Why did she have to start a verbal battle and provoke him? She knew that Fu Jingsheng couldn't stand it when people said he was no good.

Fu Jingsheng stroked the woman's chin: "Say some nice things to me, and I'll let you go once I'm satisfied."

The man tilted his ear, ready to receive sweet words.

"That's so childish," Rong Yan refused to say.

"Childish?" Fu Jingsheng didn't hear what he wanted to hear. He bent down, his face getting closer and closer to Rong Yan.

"Honey, I want to see your handsome face, but you're so close, I can't see it." Rong Yan immediately gave in.

She closed her eyes and showered her husband with praise, which made Fu Jingsheng laugh heartily. He then slowly moved off her.

Rong Yan quickly wrapped herself in a blanket and lay down on the edge of the bed: "Keep your word, let's keep to ourselves, go to sleep quietly, good afternoon."

Fu Jingsheng was just teasing Rong Yan. His leg, which had cramped up, hadn't fully recovered, so he didn't have the energy to fuss. The man made an OK sign, lay down on his half of the space, and closed his eyes to sleep.

The playground was very hot in the afternoon. After playing for a while, the children were covered in sweat, so they ran home together.

They went upstairs to look for their father.

There was a loud knocking on the bedroom door. Rong Yan covered her head with a blanket and really didn't want to move.

Fu Jingsheng had just fallen asleep when he was woken up. He frowned and went to open the door.

"Dad, play with us." Fu Yunting and his brother stood at the doorway.

"Play by yourself, I want to sleep. And don't knock on the door again," Fu Jingsheng said somewhat angrily when he saw that it was a group of children.

"Dad, it's too hot at the amusement park outside. Why don't you play with us at home? I had a lot of fun hiking with you yesterday," Rong Shiyu said sweetly.

"Dad, let's go outside and talk, so as not to disturb Mom." Rong Shiyu looked into the room and saw that her mother was sleeping.

The four children pulled Fu Jingsheng together.

Rong Yan chuckled to herself, hiding under the blanket. "Isn't he supposed to have inexhaustible energy? Well, someone's got him now!" she thought. Pretending to have just woken up, she poked her head out and said, "Fu Jingsheng, the children like you so much, go ahead."

Fu Jingsheng: ...

"Dad, didn't you say we couldn't think of you? But right now, you're the first person we think of. Playing with Dad is the most fun." The four children showered him with compliments.

Fu Jingsheng rolled his eyes; it would have been better not to have thought of this.

“Dad…” Rong Shiyu’s voice trailed off, “Dad, stay with us, let Mom get some rest.”

"Alright, I'll change my clothes." Fu Jingsheng had no choice but to agree.

After the man left, Rong Yan locked the bedroom door and lay comfortably on the big bed by herself.

She yawned and went back to sleep.

In the villa's play area, Fu Jingsheng sat in the ball pit, staring blankly at the children climbing up and down, not knowing what his role was.

"Fu Yunting, I'm getting in the way here, let me go." The children were playing by themselves, no one was interacting with him, so what was he doing here?

"Dad, wait a minute, sit on this side of the seesaw, we'll play on it in a little while." Fu Yunting wouldn't let his father leave.

Having been kept up until evening, Fu Jingsheng had never been so eager for dinner time to arrive earlier.

I tried to sneak away several times, but the kids caught me each time.

Finally, when it got dark, Han Yue called them to eat.

Fu Jingsheng jumped out of the ball pit; "Wash your hands and eat."

The man went upstairs to call his wife for dinner and saw that the bedroom door was open and no one was in bed, so he went to check the study.

Rong Yan indeed sat down in front of the computer.

The woman was engrossed in typing and didn't notice the man who walked in.

"What are you looking at?" A deep male voice sounded in her ear, startling Rong Yan so much that she straightened up and bumped into Fu Jingsheng's chin.

The man exclaimed, "Ouch!"

"Fu Jingsheng, are you a ghost? How did you float in?" Rong Yan was facing the study door, but she couldn't see him.

Fu Jingsheng sat down on the table: "You came in, huh? You're all alone here in peace and quiet, leaving me downstairs to be messed with by the kids." He licked his cheek with his tongue. "You've rested enough, huh? I'll see how I get my revenge tonight."

Rong Yan smiled ingratiatingly: "That's because the children enjoy you playing with them. It's a joy that others can only dream of."

Fu Jingsheng raised an eyebrow and said dismissively, "Then why would I give you such a good thing next time? I can't handle it."

“They don’t want me.” Rong Yan held her husband’s hand and began to brainwash him, “Fu Jingsheng, you should be happy. Before, they always said that they didn’t take you with them when they went out to play. Now, it’s great that they take you with them no matter what they do.”

“Fu Jingsheng, smile. Your status in the family has risen. Dad’s position is indeed important.”

"They must have realized I'm terrible at sports, so they just ignored me."

...

Rong Yan launched into a tirade, and Fu Jingsheng couldn't stop her. He covered her mouth and interrupted, saying, "Writing a book is different. You've even turned brainwashing into a long essay. I believe you. Okay? I'm hungry. I want to eat. Let's go downstairs together."

I can't beat Rong Yan in a verbal battle, so I'll save my energy and take my revenge tonight while I'm asleep.

Rong Yan saved the document and happily took her husband's arm, saying, "Okay."

Fu Jingchen arrived right at mealtime.

When Rong Yan came downstairs, she ran into him face to face.

"Sister-in-law," Fu Jingchen greeted her, "Sorry for coming over for a meal."

"Rongyan, I called Jingchen over. It's rare for everyone to be home, you don't mind, do you?" The old lady called her grandson over without asking her granddaughter-in-law's opinion.

"If you don't mind, let's have dinner together." Now that everyone's here, if she says she minds, will Fu Jingchen leave?

Fu Jingsheng was immediately embarrassed. What was his grandmother doing?

"elder brother."

"Hmm. Sit down." Fu Jingsheng nodded slightly.

Throughout the meal, Rong Yan barely spoke, while Han Yue kept trying to smooth things over. After everyone finished eating, Rong Yan made up an excuse to go upstairs.

It wasn't that she didn't want Fu Jingchen to come, but shouldn't the old lady have told her in advance?

"Jing Sheng, why don't you keep Jing Chen company? The two brothers haven't seen each other in a long time." The old lady deliberately stopped Fu Jing Sheng.

As her grandson had predicted, she was the grandmother, yet she had to be mindful of Rong Yan's feelings. She needed to establish authority and act like an elder, so she deliberately didn't tell Rong Yan beforehand and instead called her grandson directly. This woman was truly shameless and unreasonable.

"Jingchen, my stomach is a little upset, I need to go to the restroom," Fu Jingsheng said, making an excuse.

Rong Yan sat in front of the dressing table in a daze. Fu Jingsheng closed the door, hugged his wife, and said, "Are you angry? Your husband will stand up for you."
