Fu Jingsheng leaned against the glass, his arms crossed in front of him, his brows furrowed as he gazed at the sky, remaining silent for a moment.
Han Yue gave her son an approving look.
Rong Yan was awakened by a nightmare in the early hours of the morning. She unconsciously reached out to hug Fu Jingsheng, only to find that the person next to her was empty. She closed her eyes and touched him again, and after confirming that no one was there, she sat up abruptly.
"Husband," the woman called out several times, but no one answered.
Where did Fu Jingsheng go? Rong Yan searched the entire second floor but couldn't find the man, so she called him.
In the sunroom, Fu Jingsheng took out his vibrating phone from his pocket.
"Mom, Rongyan is probably awake. I'll go upstairs first."
The phone went unanswered. Rong Yan sat on the sofa, her nerves on edge. Had things gotten worse? Fu Jingsheng rushed back to the company that night to resolve the issue.
Rong Yan opened the website and clicked through the news articles about the Fu family one by one.
A few minutes later, the bedroom door opened, and Fu Jingsheng walked in slowly: "Wife."
The woman got up, went over and hugged the man: "Where have you been?"
"I was chatting with Mom downstairs. She couldn't sleep, and I got up just in time to see her." Fu Jingsheng cupped the back of his wife's head in his hand. "Why are you awake too?"
He glanced at his watch; it was just four o'clock.
"I had a nightmare. I couldn't hold you and woke up in a fright. Is it because of company matters, Mom?" Rong Yan asked, burying her face in Fu Jingsheng's arms.
The man patted his wife on the shoulder: "Sit down and talk."
Fu Jingsheng told Rong Yan the words of encouragement his mother had given him.
Finally, the woman smiled and said, "Yes, Mom has experienced more than we have. I believe what she says."

At the Lu Mansion, Liang Jia developed a high fever again in the middle of the night.
Lu Kai accidentally touched her arm and felt it was very hot, so he called the woman's name twice. Liang Jia's eyes were closed and she was talking nonsense.
Lu Kai quickly called his aunt for help and took Liang Jia to the hospital.
Before the examination was even finished, Liang Jia's lower abdomen clenched, and she was in so much pain that tears welled up in her eyes.
She curled up, touching her stomach, and then felt a wave of heat flow down.
"Blood!" the aunt exclaimed.
Liang Jia held the hand up to her eyes, saw the bloodstains on her palm, and fainted again.
She was wheeled into the operating room.
When I came out, it was already dawn. The doctor reported that the baby could not be saved.
Lu Kai punched the wall, nearly hitting the doctor.
After the anesthesia wore off, Liang Jia woke up, her stomach still aching in waves. Her face was pale, and she instinctively clutched her stomach, asking, "What's wrong with me? Is the baby okay?"
Lu Kai sat down beside her with his head down, and the aunt didn't dare to interrupt.
From the man's expression, Liang Jia had already guessed the outcome, but she was unwilling to admit it. She had been very careful after finding out she was pregnant and was confident that nothing would happen.
Lu Kai didn't know how to answer. What prevented him from speaking was not that the child was gone, but that the doctor said Liang Jia would have difficulty conceiving in the future, and this was a miracle. The doctor asked Lu Kai if Liang Jia had suffered violence and had been taking various antidepressants for a long time, causing health problems.
And the root of all this is Lu Kai.
How did he tell Liang Jia?
“Sir, I want you to tell me yourself.” Liang Jia tried to sit up, but she couldn’t muster any strength in her hands.
"Auntie, please go out for a bit." Lu Kai dismissed the auntie, sat on the hospital bed, stroked the woman's forehead, and said with a forced smile, "Jiajia, we are still young, we can have another child."
Liang Jia stared blankly at Lu Kai, then burst into tears: "Why did he suddenly die? He was so young..."
The woman suffered an emotional breakdown.
The aunt standing outside the door heard the crying and her heart ached. She knew that Lu Kai didn't understand the postpartum period. She knocked on the door and came in: "Miss Liang, you can't cry during your postpartum period. It's bad for your health. Listen to me."
"Jiajia, I'm here." After hearing what the aunt said, Lu Kai became even more nervous. Liang Jia's body really couldn't withstand any more stress.
Liang Jia couldn't stop her tears: "Sir, I'm afraid that if I lose this child, you'll regret it and won't want me anymore."
Lu Kai held the woman in his arms: "I'll always be here for you, don't be afraid..."
He didn't remember how long Liang Jia cried until the doctor gave her a sedative, at which point she finally fell asleep peacefully. Lu Kai sat beside her, staying with her the whole time.
This morning, news about the Fu family broke.
The office phone rang non-stop.
Department managers took turns reporting to He Wei, which gave him a huge headache.
He Wei called Fu Jingsheng and asked if he could come to the company. At this point, the man could not stand idly by. When he received He Wei's call, he was already on his way.
Rong Yan went to a secluded coffee shop to meet some friends.
When Fu Jingsheng parked his car, he received a message from a classmate that Tang Ye had gone abroad after graduation and he hadn't heard of him returning to China.
He ruled out Tang Ye. Even though Tang Ye was in the same industry as him, they were far apart in China and abroad, and there was no competition between them. Someone who had already settled in another country would not retaliate against him.
As for the girl who was with Tang Ye back then, no one knows anything about her situation. But because no information can be found by searching her name, it is suspicious. Could it be that girl?
Fu Jingsheng made a new discovery. He called He Wei and said he wouldn't go back to the company for the time being. He was going to the school to ask the teachers from back then if anyone knew anything about the girl.
He even wondered if that person might have changed her name. Why would she change her name? If you have a relationship in college and no one sees you being intimate, there's no need to change your name, unless she wants to take revenge by changing her identity.
Fu Jingsheng also called his roommates and asked them to meet him at the school gate.
Roommate Wang Lei and another roommate Han Yu were both in Tiancheng. After receiving Fu Jingsheng's call and learning about the Fu family's affairs, they went there without hesitation.
Lin Wei's dormitory.
The woman stayed up all night, and in the morning she received the latest news from Guo An: the whole company was busy, but still had no clue what to do.
The man's voice sounded very tired, and she assumed that it was because of work that Guo An hadn't slept well, unaware that Guo An had been threatened.
Lin Wei offered words of comfort on the surface, but secretly rejoiced inside.
Guo An yawned: "Weiwei, I'd like to ask for half a day off."
Lin Wei wanted Guo An to stay at the company so she could get information out of him, but if she spoke directly, Guo An would probably say that she didn't care about her.
The woman said against her will, "Then come back. Your health is the most important thing. I can tell you're exhausted just from your voice. Your boss, Mr. He, is really something. Do you think that can be solved by not eating, drinking, or sleeping? He's torturing his employees like this."
"Weiwei, being a leader isn't easy. They're under even more pressure. I'll have a cup of coffee to tide me over. I can get off work at 11 o'clock today. I won't come to your place after get off work; I'll go home and catch up on my sleep," Guo An said, though he wasn't actually too tired to avoid seeing Lin Wei.
"Okay, get some rest. I can contact you anytime. I'm waiting for you. Give me a kiss." The woman gave herself a kiss first.
"Oh right, I'm going to accompany Nuonuo to get her hair done today, so it might be quite late tonight." Lin Wei was worried that Li Yun would ask her to come along, so she prepared an excuse for herself in advance.
