Rong Yan gasped. She knew Fu Jingsheng wasn't one to exaggerate; if he said "one night," he must have been up all night.
The woman wrapped her arms around Fu Jingsheng's strong waist and started bargaining before even beginning: "We haven't been together for a week, and this intensity is too much for my old bones. How about we start with an appetizer?"
Fu Jingsheng's lips curled up, his hand covering half of the woman's cheek, and he said with a wicked smile, "An appetizer? How small?"
Rong Yan glanced at the time: "One hour today, two hours tomorrow, let's get used to it first."
"One hour?" Fu Jingsheng shook his head. "That's too short. I'd think I can't do it. Three hours is the minimum."
Rong Yan released her arms from the man and subconsciously stepped back: "No, I'm old and can't take it. Don't do anything rash."
The woman feigned pitifulness and acted coquettishly, and after negotiating for more than ten minutes, the two finally reached an agreement, compromising on the time.
Fu Jingsheng joked, "Should we set an alarm?"
Rong Yan slapped the man's arm: "Stop setting a stop, get started already."
In the city hotel, overlooking most of Tiancheng, Fu Jingsheng faced the window while Rong Yan faced the room, the two of them sitting on the windowsill.
The large bay window cushion sank in, making Fu Jingsheng feel as if he were walking on clouds. Rong Yan closed her eyes, enjoying the pleasure brought by the man.
They remained in that position for more than ten minutes before Fu Jingsheng carried her down from the windowsill and braced his arms against the window.
Rong Yan looked outside and couldn't help but tremble. She clung tightly to Fu Jingsheng, even though she knew the windowsill was sturdy.
"Rongyan, don't be afraid, we won't go outside." Fu Jingsheng sensed his wife's nervousness and stroked her head to comfort her.
Rong Yan slowly relaxed and turned around to kiss the man's lips.
Fu Jingsheng deepened the kiss, pulling the woman's waist back and uniting with her.
"Oh!" Rong Yan murmured.
In the dead of night, a sudden downpour woke the two people who were sleeping on the bay window.
Rong Yan only knew that she had been with Fu Jingsheng for a long time, so long that she didn't even know when she fell asleep. She only remembered that she was very tired, so tired that she couldn't even lift her hands.
Rong Yan rolled over and almost fell off.
At this moment, Fu Jingsheng carried her back to bed.
Before he knew it, the woman had fallen asleep again. Fu Jingsheng covered her with a blanket, tiptoed to the stargazing platform, pulled back the curtain, and quietly admired the rainy scenery of Tiancheng.
——
Shen Xingzhi's home.
The woman already suffered from insomnia, and the sudden downpour in the middle of the night made her even more irritable.
Lightning flashes and thunder rumbled intermittently, so Shen Xingzhi turned on the light.
She sat on the bed, picked up her phone, and opened her WeChat chat with Yu Wenhao. The man hadn't replied for several hours.
Shen Xingzhi's anxiety reached its peak, and she needed to find an outlet immediately.
She played some sad music and burst into tears, cursing Yu Wenhao as she cried.
The sound of rain drowned out the woman's cries.
After crying herself to sleep, Shen Xingzhi felt much better. As dawn broke, she tried to hide her breakdown from the night before, but her swollen eyes couldn't be concealed. Shen Xingzhi wore glasses and went to the clinic to hand over her work before meeting up with Rong Yan and the others at the coffee shop.
Rong Yan, who had been battling Fu Jingsheng for several hours last night, woke up this morning with dark circles under her eyes and, more importantly, a sore back.
She had to hold onto her waist as she walked, and her legs were unsteady.
Fu Jingsheng, on the other hand, was completely unaffected, walking briskly, and it seemed like he could run a few more laps.
As they left the hotel, Fu Jingsheng held Rong Yan's hand and looked at her listlessly, saying, "Is this all you can do?"
Rong Yan rolled her eyes: "What? You think you're so great? How can someone as petite as me stand up to you for hours?"
"Thank you for the compliment," Fu Jingsheng said shamelessly. "Rong Yan, you need to work out, otherwise you won't be able to keep up with my pace."
Rong Yan shook off Fu Jingsheng's hand: "You think you're so great? Believe me or not, I'll make you continue to abstain from sex for the next week."
"I'm just kidding you. I'm about to get busy with company matters again, so relax a bit first," Fu Jingsheng said with a smile. "Wife, you're much better than before. Before, I had to call for a break every ten minutes or so, but now you can last much longer."
Rong Yan slapped Fu Jingsheng on the back: "Can't you learn something decent? Don't discuss this topic so early in the morning. Our focus should be on the company."
"Yes, I won't study hard. I'll follow President Rong's example and focus on my career. If I'm serious about my career today, is it okay tonight? I'd like to try that position you mentioned yesterday." Fu Jingsheng then steered the conversation back to his personal life.
Rong Yan squinted and gave a wry smile: "We'll talk about it tonight. Drive your car first."
Coffee shop.
Ye Jianming opened the door early, and a sign hung outside that read: "Closed for business today."
Shen Xingzhi and Rong Yan arrived one after the other.
After getting off the bus, Shen Xingzhi listlessly entered the shop.
"Shen Xingzhi, you're not acting right today," Ye Jianming noticed the woman's unusual behavior at a glance.
Shen Xingzhi hung her head and lied, "It rained last night and I couldn't sleep all night because of the noise. Even though I was very sleepy, my mind was still very active when I closed my eyes."
Ye Jianming specially brewed a cup of coffee: "A new product, to perk you up."
A moment later, Rong Yan pushed the door open and came in, yawning before even sitting down.
"Rong Yan, did you also have insomnia last night?" Ye Jianming asked.
Rong Yan glanced at Fu Jingsheng out of the corner of her eye: "Yeah, who can sleep at a time like this?"
Fu Jingsheng echoed, "Yes, everyone has worked hard. My coffee is on me today."
After the three sat down, they first exchanged the information they had found.
At the same time, He Wei sent over the employee's information.
Fu's has strict onboarding vetting procedures, ensuring that employees' identity information is accurate, including their ID card address and permanent residence address.
He Wei found out everything.
With such detailed information, Ye Jianming thought finding this person would be easy.
After he entered the existing information, a lot of things did pop up, but they all showed that the person had already passed away, had no descendants, and had disappeared.
"We only have half the information on who we're investigating," Fu Jingsheng said, lowering his eyes. "These people are all dead; they can't possibly be ghosts seeking revenge."
"Will you go into hiding again?" Rong Yan asked.
"No, there's a death certificate, which means the person is really gone," Ye Jianming denied without hesitation.
Shen Xingzhi forced herself to stay alert: "Could it be his descendants seeking revenge?"
“It’s possible. Look, the records show that this person later became an alcoholic and abusive, and had a police report. This means that his children and wife grew up in that violent environment, so it’s normal for them to have psychological problems. After those problems arise, they might retaliate,” Rong Yan analyzed based on psychology.
“I agree. After being fired, he became an alcoholic and abusive. The root of all this is being fired. They will see the Fu family as the instigator. Can they find out where the child went?” Shen Xingzhi agreed with Rong Yan’s point of view.
"I'll give it a try."
