"Really?" Old Deng was both surprised and delighted.
"Yes, I promised you I'd participate in the next performance." Han Yue always kept her word, and besides, she knew Rong Yan would support her.
"Okay, I'll arrange a seat for you right away. You can enjoy your meal." Old Deng was overjoyed. Before leaving, he bent down and said goodbye to the children, "Children, Grandpa's leaving now. Goodbye."
Han Yue didn't turn around until Lao Deng's figure was completely out of sight.
Several children, holding food in their hands, gathered around and, their previous composure vanished, they began to gossip.
"Grandma, is that your boyfriend?" Rong Shimo asked.
"Hey Xiao Mo, who told you about the concept of a boyfriend? Don't talk nonsense. Let's go get some pizza."
[Grandma, this grandpa is a bit old, his hair is all white. You're so young, you could be his sister.] Fu Yunlei seemed dissatisfied with Old Deng's appearance, which made Han Yue feel a chill in her heart. Old Deng was only two years older than her. His white hair was said to be hereditary, but his face didn't look that old, especially since he had been dancing all his life and maintained a good physique.
"Are you old?" Han Yue asked.
Fu Yunlei nodded emphatically, but soon he smiled and said, "Maybe Grandma is too young. Grandma looks like an aunt."
"Stop flattering me, let's go eat." Han Yue pushed her eldest grandson away.
Then the other two children also expressed their opinions, saying that the little brat was much more mature than they had imagined.
Han Yue immediately decided that she must avoid seeing Lao Deng and his family in the future.
The driver just watched the whole thing.
After sending the children home, Han Yue noticed that the square dancing session wasn't over yet, so she made a special trip there.
She stood at the back of the group and started dancing to Lao Deng's music.
Just as I was getting warm, my adopted son arrived.
“Mom.” Fu Jingchen went to Yushui Bay and, upon learning that his mother was dancing in the park next door, immediately came over.
He needs to speak with Han Yue.
Since the old lady passed away, Han Yue had not seen Fu Jingchen alone. Fu Jingchen coming to see her was completely unexpected.
She followed Fu Jingchen to a less crowded area and found a bench to sit down.
Although Han Yue is the adoptive mother, she is not close to Fu Jingchen at all.
The two rarely had heart-to-heart talks.
"Mom, isn't my brother's house going to be gone? I heard the place you're moving to only has four rooms. How are so many people going to live there? Why don't you stay at my place?" Fu Jingchen wasn't entirely doing this for Han Yue; he had his own selfish reasons. He was afraid that Rong Bing would come looking for him again, and if Han Yue was there, she could help him fend off her.
"I live alone in all three of my rooms."
"Where's Rong Bing?" Han Yue asked, unaware that her adopted son and Rong Bing had broken up. "Since you two have made up, why don't you move in together? Why make her rent a place outside?"
Fu Jingchen told the truth.
Han Yue stood up excitedly: "Fu Jingchen, how did we educate you? Rong Bing was your brother's fiancée, and you got together with her. Now that everyone has acknowledged your relationship, you've abandoned her."
"Mom, she's being too dramatic. I was forced into it," Fu Jingchen argued.
Han Yue snorted coldly: "What's the point of not telling the truth in front of me? You just told me that you've gotten involved with Rong Bing's friends. Don't you know what kind of person Rong Bing is? You want me to move in with you so you can deal with her? No way."
"Mom," Fu Jingchen pleaded, "she came to my house again today, and she's right at the door right now. I don't dare go back."
Rong Bing was indeed at Fu Jingchen's doorstep.
The more she thought about Fu Jingchen's words, the more suspicious she became. So, she calculated the time when the man would get off work and went to wait for him at the door.
Fortunately, Fu Jingchen took the stairs today. As soon as he came out, he saw the person at the door and ran away immediately. Otherwise, given Rong Bing's personality, she would have made a scene and let the neighbors see.
"So she's already blocking the door, too scared to go home, and wants me to go and ask her to leave?" Han Yue seemed to know everything.
Fu Jingchen tried to appeal to Rong Bing's emotions, saying that he had rarely asked his mother for anything since he was a child, and asked if she could help him this time. He also asked her to try to persuade Rong Bing that he didn't have the money to buy a new house and that Rong Bing was making a fuss every day, so how was he going to live in the future?
Han Yue was at a loss. Rong Yan had just called her that morning to tell her to try not to run around. Rong Yan bluntly said that there might be hidden dangers behind the calm surface, and she still didn't believe that things had really calmed down.
"I'm not going," Han Yue refused to budge.
“In that case, you won’t stay at my place. Help me get Rong Bing out of here,” Fu Jingchen said again.
Han Yue shook her head again: "Let the community security guards go over there. I have no right to do this. Fu Jingchen, you're not a kid anymore. Can't you be more reliable? Being blocked at the door by women so often, isn't that embarrassing? Don't tell me about your affairs again."
"Mom," Fu Jingchen called out, "Don't leave yet. I don't dare tell my brother, so I can only come to you. Rong Bing is not only clinging to me shamelessly, but she is also trying to sow discord between my brother and me, saying that all the things that happened at home were orchestrated by me."
Han Yue didn't believe her adopted son's side of the story.
She sighed: "Jingchen, you know what you've done. Although it wasn't as bad as Rong Bing said, it doesn't mean you're innocent. No one can help you, especially with your private life. You have to face it eventually. I advise you not to contact that Zhou guy for now. Otherwise, if Rong Bing finds out, it could lead to someone's death."
After saying that, Han Yue left.
Fu Jingchen stood there, analyzing his mother's words, which indeed made a lot of sense.
Rong Bing waited for a long time, but Fu Jingchen didn't return. Was he going to work overtime again today? Or was he out fooling around with someone after work?
The woman wanted to send a message to her company's employees to ask about something, but after going through her entire contact list, she couldn't find anyone's contact information. She pounded her fist on the shoulder, wondering why she couldn't keep her temper in check and ended up getting into a fight with someone. She should have made a few friends so that the company would have its own informants.
She decided to take a taxi to the company to check. Even if she couldn't get in, she knew Fu Jingchen's parking spot, so as long as the car was there, it would be fine.
Rong Yan stood up, leaning against the wall, and ran into Fu Jingchen downstairs.
Fu Jingchen didn't get angry at her; instead, he took her directly to the community playground.
The man was very polite: "Why are you here again?"
“Fu Jingchen, I only came here today to ask you a few questions. I promise that if you tell the truth, I will never bother you again,” Rong Bing said.
"you say."
Rong Bing's first question was whether Fu Jingchen had cheated on her.
The man, of course, said no, and even raised his hand to swear.
Hearing this answer, Rong Bing was secretly pleased, so she asked again why he was so cruel to her.
In order to stop Rong Bing from coming to him, Fu Jingchen gave all his answers against his will.
Finally, he hugged Rong Bing and said, "Just because we love each other doesn't mean we can be together. Let's give each other some time to cool off. We need to think carefully about where the problem lies, Bingbing, okay?"
Rong Bing nodded, feeling relieved that Fu Jingchen hadn't hugged her like this in a long time. But just as Fu Jingchen thought Rong Bing had calmed down, Zhou Luo sent a message. Fu Jingchen had forgotten to turn off the message display on the main screen, and Rong Bing saw the message.
