Tiancheng at night is a vibrant and bustling place, with neon lights flashing everywhere.
Rong Yan picked up Shen Xingzhi and they went to find Rong Bing together.
After Fu Jingchen and Zhou Luo came out, they stayed in the car until the security guards informed them that Rong Bing had been asked to leave, and only then did Zhou Luo go home.
Fu Jingchen followed.
When they arrived at the apartment building, Zhou Luo stopped Fu Jingchen: "Alright, that's enough. You can go back now."
"Zhou Luo, I'll take you home, otherwise I won't feel at ease," Fu Jingchen said with concern.
“President Fu, she won’t be coming right now. I won’t open the door if anyone knocks again. Go back.” Zhou Luo walked through the glass door by himself.
Fu Jingchen seemed to sense that Zhou Luo was deliberately keeping his distance.
Was it because of Rong Bing's words that Zhou Luo backed down?
But Fu Jingchen had just gained some confidence from her, and he wanted to try again.
Insisting on going up would only anger Zhou Luo. Fu Jingchen replied, "Okay."
After Zhou Luo stepped into the elevator, she looked out and saw that Fu Jingchen was still standing in the same spot.
Zhou Luo did it on purpose. She had already seen Fu Jingchen's attitude today, and he chose herself over Rong Bing.
However, she still needed to keep some distance from Fu Jingchen from time to time.
After seeing Zhou Luo go upstairs, Fu Jingchen sent a message: "I'm leaving. I'll give you a day off tomorrow."
Zhou Luo did not reply.
When Rong Yan and Shen Xingzhi arrived at the place where Rong Bing was, they found Rong Bing lying in the grass.
That was very pitiful.
Rong Yan sighed and woke her up: "Rong Bing, let's go home."
The woman opened her eyes and vaguely saw two figures.
She felt cold one minute and hot the next, which made her very uncomfortable.
She could barely make a sound, and managed to say, "I'm cold, very cold."
Rong Yan touched Rong Bing's forehead; it was burning hot.
"Xingzhi, help her over here, let's take her to the hospital." Rong Yan didn't waste a moment.
Shen Xingzhi reluctantly took Rong Bing's arm: "That's really asking for trouble. What kind of good person would just sleep on the floor?"
Rong Bing only felt a buzzing in her ears, and she didn't know what happened after that.
Having not eaten all day, coupled with exhaustion, pre-existing anemia, and a chill, Rong Bing fainted.
After examining her, the doctor gave her an IV drip.
Rong Yan called Fu Jingsheng to report the situation, estimating she wouldn't be home until midnight.
Fu Jingsheng called Fu Jingchen again.
Fu Jingchen seemed unsurprised to learn that Rong Bing was in the hospital, and calmly said that the woman brought it on herself.
"Fu Jingchen, clean up your own mess. Either find someone to take care of Rong Bing at the hospital, or go yourself. Don't keep bothering Rong Yan." Fu Jingsheng said sternly.
At this point, why would Fu Jingchen care about Rong Bing? He replied without hesitation that if he didn't care, Rong Yan didn't need to care either.
Fu Jingsheng could hardly believe that these words came from a human mouth.
When Han Yue returned from square dancing, she heard her son on the phone, his voice excited. After asking about the situation, she said, "Jing Sheng, I'll go to the hospital to see him. No matter what, Rong Bing stayed in the Fu family for a few years, and this matter is related to Jing Chen."
Fu Jingsheng went along.
After the IV drip finished, Rong Bing regained consciousness. She turned her head and saw the syringe on the back of her hand and Rong Yan sitting next to her.
"Sister." The woman's voice was weak.
"Awake?" Rong Yan saved the document and pulled the blanket up for Rong Bing.
Rong Bing's inhuman appearance was both pitiful and hateful.
Sure enough, as soon as she finished calling out "sister," Rong Bing's tears flowed like a tap turned on, instantly overflowing from her eyes.
"Oh dear, stop crying." Rong Yan felt a chill run down her spine. "Have some porridge."
"I really owe you something," Rong Yan complained softly, setting up the folding table on the hospital bed and raising Rong Bing's pillow. "With your health, where do you get the confidence to cause trouble? No wonder you'll suffer."
When Shen Xingzhi returned with hot water and saw that Rong Bing was awake, she put down the kettle and said, "Rong Bing, if you were my sister, I would have slapped you across the face long ago."
Rong Bing lowered her head and remained silent, letting Shen Xingzhi talk to her.
Rong Yan tugged at her best friend; "Alright, stop talking. You only know to turn back after hitting a wall yourself. What others say is useless."
"Give me your hands and eat first. If you don't eat for a day, I definitely won't take care of you if you faint next time. What are you standing there for? Do you want me to feed you?" Rong Yan's tone sounded very impatient, but Rong Bing knew that Rong Yan was cold on the outside but warm on the inside, and that she cared about her.
Rong Bing picked up the spoon and forced herself to eat a few bites.
After arriving at the hospital, Han Yue called Rong Yan to ask for her room number.
She bought two boxes of bird's nest on the way.
Han Yue helped Rong Yan and the others go home.
He accompanied Rong Bing while she received her IV drip.
Han Yue didn't try to persuade Rong Bing with earnest words, but simply told her that it wasn't worth it for someone.
The Royal Bay was quiet late at night.
Rong Yan sat in front of the computer typing, and Rong Bing's situation gave her an idea.
Fu Jingsheng waited for a long time but his wife did not return to the room. He went to the study several times and found that Rong Yan was concentrating on typing on the keyboard. The man could not bear to disturb her.
Seeing that it was past midnight, Fu Jingsheng decided to remind Rong Yan.
He went to the study again and knocked gently on the door, so as not to frighten his wife if he went in directly.
Rong Yan looked up, and suddenly saw a circle of stars before her eyes. Then, a pain shot through the back of her head. She covered her neck with her hand, rubbing it as she asked, "What's wrong?"
"It's almost one o'clock, why aren't you asleep?" Fu Jingsheng walked in, put his hands on his wife's shoulders, and massaged them. "Rest first."
"Okay, sure." Rong Yan glanced at the time in the lower right corner of the computer screen and said, "I didn't realize it was so late. Were you waiting for me?"
"Hmm." Fu Jingsheng yawned. "I'm just worried that if I fall asleep, you'll lose your sense of time even more."
He picked up Rong Yan and carried her back to the bedroom.
Rong Yan fell asleep almost instantly.
She was woken up by several children the next day.
Rong Yan let them in.
"Mom, we're home today. Grandma said we're making dumplings. Are you resting?" Rong Shiyu loves dumplings the most since she came back from abroad.
When Grandma told me that they rolled out the dough and prepared the filling themselves, I was overjoyed and went to the market with her early in the morning.
"Okay, Mom won't be going to work today. I'll stay home and make dumplings with you all," Rong Yan agreed. "Go downstairs and wait for me. I'll come right after I change my clothes."
"Yes, Mom. Dad asked us to tell you that he'll be home for lunch too. He wants celery dumplings, and he wants you to learn how to make them." Fu Yunlei relayed his father's message.
"I'm really good at making dumplings, pfft," Rong Yan retorted stubbornly.
"Okay, Mom, hurry up!" The four children skipped and hopped downstairs.
This was Han Yue's first time rolling out dumpling wrappers, and with the help of the maid, she finally succeeded in making one.
When the four children came downstairs, they found that their grandmother had already started, so they all gathered around and reached out to grab the dough.
Han Yue slapped their hands away; "Go wash up first."
Rong Shimo pointed at her grandmother's face and burst into laughter.
The other three children looked over when they heard their sister's laughter: "Grandma has turned into a big tabby cat."
Han Yue was stunned: "Huh?"
