Rong Yan was more heartbroken than anyone else.
Although Han Yue was used to traveling around, she found it nice to be with her family after Rong Yan returned. Thinking about how her aunt was always there when she came home and would cook delicious food for her, she realized that she wouldn't be able to see them again when she came back. Han Yue lowered her eyes.
Rong Yan reached her hand under the table to her mother-in-law, gently patted her, and gave her a comforting look.
Han Yue looked up and said, "Rong Yan is right. If you want to meet, just make an appointment. Let's create a group chat right away. From now on, you won't just be the housekeepers, but our friends."
Everyone raised their glasses in a toast to express their agreement.
After lunch, Fu Jingsheng wanted to go back to carrying bricks, but Rong Yan stopped him and forced him to rest.
During dinner, Rong Yan noticed the scratches on her husband's hand, which he had just licked that morning.
She sat on the balcony with Fu Jingsheng, holding his hand: "Can't you wear gloves when you're working?"
Fu Jingsheng quickly withdrew his hand; besides the wound on his tiger's mouth, there were two other wounds on his palm.
“Wearing gloves is inconvenient, but it’s okay. It’s just a minor injury, I’ll be careful.” Fu Jingsheng hid his hands behind Rong Yan’s back.
“Yes, Fu Jingsheng, I used to see you as so noble and aloof. I never thought you could be so down-to-earth. The other day, when I saw you wearing a hard hat, covered in dust, working alongside the workers, I realized I was attracted to this side of you,” Rong Yan said.
Fu Jingsheng deliberately misinterpreted his wife's meaning: "Are you saying that you didn't completely love me before? You were attracted to me when I was doing chores, and I didn't attract you before?"
Rong Yan slapped his leg: "You know that's not what I meant."
"I know, I was just teasing you." Fu Jingsheng raised an eyebrow. "It's the same feeling I have. The longer we spend together, the more I like you, because I see more of your good qualities."
“Yes, that’s the idea.” Rong Yan put her arm around her husband’s shoulder. “I suddenly understand why you didn’t use my money to start over, but instead built your own business from scratch. Even if you make Fu’s bigger, people will only think you were lucky to take over a company that was already quite successful. If I help you lay the foundation now, no matter how tall you build later, people will still think it’s not your achievement.”
Fu Jingsheng turned to look at his wife, his other hand covering her cheek: "Yes, Rongyan, my refusal to accept you is not because I consider you an outsider, but because I want to prove myself. I can also start from scratch like Grandpa. The process may be difficult, but I promise you, I will do it in three years at most."
Rong Yan kissed her husband's forehead: "I believe you."
The first floor of the villa.
Fu Yunting wanted to go upstairs to find his mother, but Han Yue stopped him: "Your parents have to go to the company this afternoon. Let them rest for a while. Grandma will take you to the amusement park."
Han Yue asked an older woman to go with her to a nearby park.
The two sat on a bench by the playground, chatting and watching the child in front of them.
Liang Jia kept waiting and finally saw Han Yue bring her child out. There was only an older woman next to Han Yue.
Her chance has come.
Liang Jia watched the two chatting from afar, preparing to snatch one of the children away when they weren't looking.
Fu Yunlei and his younger brother sat in the sandpit digging in the sand, while Rong Shiyu and her younger sister played on the slide.
Rong Shiyu liked to climb up the vertical climbing stones to the top of the slide, while Rong Shimo liked to go up the stairs. The four children split into three groups.
"Madam, the young ladies aren't together anymore. I'll go check on them," the nanny said, worried that the children might get lost.
Han Yue vaguely saw her granddaughter on the side of the slide, and said nonchalantly, "She's over there. It's okay, they won't run around. Just sit down."
The aunt returned to her chair.
"Sister, can I play with you?" The little girl with the lollipop walked up to Rong Shiyu and asked.
“Of course you can.” Rong Shiyu said without any suspicion, joining the little girl.
The two played on the slide first, then the little girl ran to the trampoline, and Rong Shiyu followed.
The girl who had taken the candy from the stranger had already led the girl in the blue dress to the trampoline. Rong Shiyu jumped up happily, quickly forgetting the little girl who had brought her along.
Seeing that the time was right, Liang Jia sprayed some medicine on a handkerchief and took Rong Shiyu away when no one was paying attention.
Liang Jia drove a car with fake license plates and took the child to an abandoned house in the suburbs.
Auntie and Han Yue glanced at the child every now and then, but Rong Shiyu and Rong Shimo were wearing the same clothes, and from a distance, the two were indistinguishable.
Rong Shimo, who kept running around the slide, was right in the sight of the two elderly people, making them think that there were two different people.
Rong Shimo got tired from running around, so the girl stopped to drink some water.
Han Yue then noticed that Rong Shiyu hadn't shown up for a long time after Rong Shimo arrived.
"Xiao Mo, were you running around the slide all by yourself just now? Didn't your sister catch up with you?" Han Yue suddenly had a bad feeling.
"Yes, I didn't play with my sister," Rong Shimo said after finishing half a glass of water. "Grandma, I'm going to play."
"Big sister, you watch over Xiao Mo and the others, I'll look for Xiao Yu." Han Yue walked towards the amusement park.
She searched around but couldn't find Rong Shiyu. Han Yue told her grandson to go to his aunt's, while she went to the park management office and asked the staff to call for Rong Shimo over the loudspeaker. They were to gather at the sandpit upon hearing the call.
The broadcast played several times. Han Yue called her aunt to ask if Rong Shimo had appeared, and her aunt said no.
Han Yue panicked and quickly called her son and Rong Yan.
Fu Jingsheng had just dozed off when he saw his mother calling. He slowly answered the phone and learned that his daughter had gone missing at the amusement park. The man jumped up and started getting dressed while still on the phone.
Rong Yan was also startled and sat up.
"Mom said Shimo is missing?" she asked.
"Yes, it's in the park next door. I'll drive. You call Ye Jianming and the others, and ask them to come and look for it together."
Rong Yan's fingers were trembling as she made the call.
She doesn't even want to think about her daughter still playing when she hears the horn.
Han Yue stayed at the amusement park and searched everywhere. She took out a photo of her granddaughter from her phone and asked many people. Some people said they saw her at the trampoline area. Han Yue waited at the trampoline area for a while, but there was no sign of her granddaughter.
Some people said they saw her playing with another little girl, but with so many children in the playground, no one would think much of it if children who don't know each other played together.
Han Yue asked what the child who played with her granddaughter looked like, but the person only remembered that she was wearing pink clothes. Han Yue then asked the person to help identify her, but after walking around, the person said that the little girl was also gone.
Could it be that her granddaughter went home with someone else? But it's unlikely that Rong Shimo would leave with anyone on her own initiative.
Han Yue had a thought that human traffickers might use a child as a front to deceive other children, and wondered if that little girl was in cahoots with the traffickers and had taken her granddaughter away.
Her hair stood on end instantly.
