Chapter 389 My Worldview Shattered

Yu Wenhao looked at his mother, his expression indescribable.

Shock, contempt, disappointment, and speechlessness filled Yu Wenhao; he never imagined his mother could go to such lengths.

His worldview was shattered.

"Mom, it's getting late, let's rest." Yu Wenhao didn't discuss this matter with his mother. He knew he couldn't change her mind, so why waste his breath?

I'll send Shen Xingzhi a message in a bit and just say it wasn't my idea.

Mrs. Yu thought her son shared her thoughts, and happily went back to her house.

The next morning, a thick fog descended upon Tiancheng.

In Lanshan Garden, Han Yue was the first to get up. As usual, she opened the door and said, "Sister Liu."

But the empty living room remained unanswered, and she then realized that the servants had all left.

Breakfast! Han Yue uttered the two words and hurried to the kitchen. The housekeeper wasn't there, so she had to prepare breakfast.

Han Yue was startled when she pushed open the door.

Fu Jingsheng stood by the stove, the pot sizzling.

"Son, are you making breakfast?" Han Yue asked.

Fu Jingsheng turned around at the sound of her voice: "Mom."

Han Yue glanced over and saw that Fu Jingsheng was frying eggs. Several eggs were already fried in the bowl next to him, and there were also hot dogs in the pan.

It looked simple, but Han Yue was still very pleased that Fu Jingsheng, who rarely cooked, could get up early to make these things.

"I don't know how to make steamed buns, Mom. What time is it?" Fu Jingsheng asked.

"No one in our family knows how to cook, we're not picky, the eggs are fine, it's just seven o'clock," Han Yue replied with a smile.

"Rongyan and the others need to get up soon, Mom. The porridge is ready. Could you take it out and let it cool down first? The pickled vegetables are in the refrigerator. Tear off a packet and put it in a small dish," Fu Jingsheng instructed.

Han Yue was taken aback at first, but then did as she was told. She hadn't expected Fu Jingsheng to be so thoughtful.

"Starting tomorrow, don't get up so early. I'll make breakfast." Han Yue felt a little embarrassed. Her son had to go to work later, so she couldn't let him work so hard to make breakfast for everyone. It was different for her. After dropping off her grandchildren, she had nothing to do, so she could take over the housework from now on.

Fu Jingsheng knew that his mother never did these kinds of chores. When his father was alive, his mother would never even touch cold water. If it weren't for him, the Fu family would never have dismissed all the servants. He didn't want his mother to act as a nanny, so he said, "I'll do it instead, and I can do it while I'm at it."

The mother and son argued for a while, which ended with Fu Jingsheng giving in.

After Fu Yunlei and the others got up, they smelled the delicious aroma of eggs.

Actually, before going to bed last night, the little ones discussed whether they would have to go hungry in the future. They had already experienced their grandma and mom's cooking skills, and the food they made was terrible. Dad wasn't much better, so they figured they would have to buy breakfast outside.

I never expected to smell such a wonderful fragrance.

Fu Yunting licked the corner of his mouth.

"Dad?" A moment later they saw Fu Jingsheng, wearing an apron, come out of the kitchen.

"Did you make breakfast?" the children asked in unison.

"Yes. Absolutely delicious, I've tried it." Fu Jingsheng said confidently.

Rong Yan came out after putting on her makeup and gave her husband a big hug.

After the meal, everyone was full of praise for Fu Jingsheng.

The man got carried away and immediately offered to make breakfast for everyone every day from now on, but Han Yue stopped him. The two of them argued over doing the job, and in the end, everyone decided that no one should fight over it and they should do it together.

There wasn't much to do at the clinic in the morning, so Rong Yan went to the factory area with Fu Jingsheng first.

The factory was shrouded in thick fog, with visibility limited to only a few meters. Fu Jingsheng pushed open the roller shutter door and turned on the lights.

In the afternoon, some employees came over. To make the factory feel warmer, Fu Jingsheng and Fu Jing bought some fruit and brought over the water dispenser and coffee machine that they no longer used at home.

Rong Yan tidied up the logistics area, and on the way, she went to town to buy a few bouquets of flowers, which, along with the potted plants she brought from home, instantly brought life to the office.

The woman admired her masterpiece and was quite satisfied.

She was taking pictures when the unknown number called her.

Rong Yan turned on the speakerphone to answer the call.

"Hello, is this Rong Yan?" In the hospital, a nurse made a phone call for Rong Bing.

"Who are you?" Rong Yan couldn't recognize the other person's voice.

"I'm a nurse at the Municipal Hospital. My patient, Rong Bing, asked me to call you. She's in ward XX of the XX department. Please come over immediately," the nurse relayed.

Rong Bing, who was bandaged up next to him, used her icy gaze to indicate agreement.

Rong Yan was unaware of the situation, so she asked a few questions.

Rong Yan rushed to the hospital.

Following the nurse's directions, she found the ward, pushed open the door, and saw Rong Bing lying there with a bandage wrapped around her chin and an IV drip in her hand.

Upon seeing Rong Yan, she lifted her eyelids and her eyes moved up and down.

The nurse explained the situation.

Rong Bing wanted to speak, but her chin was wrapped around her mouth and she couldn't open it.

She drank too much that night, and Chen Xiu took her home. She didn't know when she went out again, and when she was found in the morning, she was in a flower bed by the roadside.

Chen Xiu stayed with her until very late the night before, and Rong Bing felt embarrassed to contact her again, so she called Rong Yan instead.

He probably fell face down; besides dislocating his jaw, half of his cheek was swollen, and he also had many cuts and scrapes on his hands and feet.

Rong Yan was both amused and exasperated by Rong Bing's appearance. She suspected that Rong Bing had gotten up and fallen down several times after falling down, otherwise how could she have ended up in such a terrible state?

The kind person who brought her here finally met Rong Bing's family, explained the rescue in detail, and then prepared to leave.

Rong Yan reimbursed him for the medical expenses he had paid in advance.

She sat on the edge of the bed, and could guess with her toes why Rong Bing was drinking.

"Could you please not call me next time?" Rong Yan asked, her eyes half-closed.

Rong Bing's eyes darted left and right.

“You’re so free, find a job. I feel bad when you’re idle.” Rong Yan thought for a moment, “Or you could go help out with Ye Jianming. I’ll talk to him about it.”

Rong Bing actually nodded.

"Alright, I'll make arrangements once you're better. But let me make this clear beforehand: when you get there, you'll have to act like an employee and not cause any trouble."

Rong Bing continued to nod.

Rong Yan pulled the blanket up for Rong Bing, seemingly impatient, but her words were all in her favor. Rong Yan told Rong Bing, "If you want to drink in the future, find someone to keep you company. Don't be alone. If you get injured this time, or die next time, I won't have time to collect your body. Also, I've paid for today's medical expenses. Hurry up and make money to pay me back."

Rong Bing felt a warmth in her heart, and she reached out to pull Rong Yan.

Rong Yan quickly shrank back, stood up and said, "I'm leaving. There are caregivers at the hospital who will take care of you until you are discharged. Call me again after you are discharged so I can arrange for you to go back to work."

As she left the hospital, Rong Yan sighed. She told herself she shouldn't meddle, but she couldn't help but help Rong Bing.

When Shen Xingzhi called her to ask where she was and why she hadn't arrived at the clinic yet, she lied to Shen Xingzhi.

After her sister left, Rong Bing bit her lip, wanting to say a thousand words but unable to utter them.

Tears streamed down her face, and she secretly vowed to do something for Rong Yan.
