Chapter 409 Animals That Think with Their Lower Bodies

Fu Jingchen couldn't muster any energy to spend the whole night with Zhou Luo, which was a rare treat.

He was even a little too tired to walk, so he said, "Luo Luo, let's sit down and look at the scenery for a while."

The two sat by the lake.

There were many tents set up along the shore, with lights on outside, probably belonging to campers.

"Do you like camping?" Zhou Luo asked; she liked the feeling.

“Yes, but I’m usually too busy with work, so I rarely have such a relaxed time,” Fu Jingchen said. “Luo Luo, I feel very relaxed with you, unlike before when I was always on edge. I also feel very secure and safe next to you.”

"Don't you think I'm too unsophisticated?" Zhou Luo put his arms around his knees. "I've never mentioned my parents to you. They're farmers, the kind who toil in the fields from dawn till dusk. They went through so much trouble to raise enough money for my tuition so I could leave the countryside."

Zhou Luo stopped talking, her eyes red.

"And then?" Fu Jingchen asked.

The woman paused for a moment before continuing, "Their biggest wish was for me to get into university and stay in a big city. Later, I did get into university and found a good job in Tiancheng. Once my job was stable, I wanted to bring them over, but they refused."

“My dad said he’s used to the countryside and there are too many people in the city, so he would feel lost. My mom said there are too many cars and roads in the city, so she doesn’t dare to go out. They don’t want to come here, but they want me to stay in the big city. What’s the point? They’ve worked themselves to the bone their whole lives, just so I can leave them?” Zhou Luo has never talked about her parents with any of her colleagues.

He was afraid that others would look down on her background.

Fu Jingchen knew that Zhou Luo's house was rented, so he said, "Maybe they want to come, but they're afraid that the cost of living in the city is too high and they can't bear to leave. Luo Luo, you can tell them that you've found a boyfriend who is financially well-off and treats you well. They don't need to worry about your living expenses."

The man's words moved Zhou Luo.

She slightly raised her chin: "I think the same way as you. I remember when we first rented the house, they came to take a look because they were worried. Even the smallest house in the city is cleaner than the one in the countryside. They said this house must be very expensive."

“Even when it comes to meals, if I want to take them to a restaurant, they refuse, saying that I like my mom’s cooking the most and want her to cook for me. But I just want them to try different kinds of delicious food.” Zhou Luo felt guilty when she talked about her parents.

Later, the Fu family business disbanded, and she became even less able to bring her parents over.

Zhou Luo recalled.

The ringing of a cell phone broke the tranquility of the night.

Fu Jingchen saw those two annoying words again and hung up immediately.

Zhou Luo looked down and saw the two words on the screen: "Why is she contacting you again?"

Feeling guilty, Fu Jingchen made up a random excuse: "That's just how she is, always finding excuses to pester me."

"I've blocked her." The man casually added Rong Bing to his blacklist as well.

Fu Jingchen hung up the phone immediately. Rong Bing dialed again, but the receiver only gave her a message that the call could not be connected. She knew she had been blocked again.

Rong Bing was both angry and annoyed by this heartless act after their passionate encounter.

Fortunately, she was prepared. She sent a message to Fu Jingchen from another pre-prepared number: "You forgot your watch."

That night, Fu Jingchen was not fully conscious due to the effects of the medication. Rong Bing took his watch. She knew that the watch was very important to Fu Jingchen, and as long as the watch was there, the two of them would meet again.

Fu Jingchen subconsciously looked at his wrist, and sure enough, it was empty. But he had no recollection of when he had taken the watch off.

Afraid that Zhou Luo would overhear the conversation, Fu Jingchen covered his mouth and said, "We'll talk about it tomorrow."

Zhou Luo faintly heard Rong Bing's voice. Fu Jingchen's expression seemed somewhat flustered. After the man hung up the phone, she asked, "What kind of trouble is Rong Bing trying to cause now? She actually changed her number to call, which shows she was prepared."

"You're just saying I still have things I haven't taken. I already told you to just throw them away," Fu Jingchen lied. "This is never going to end."

"If you don't want it, then don't take it. If she doesn't want to throw it away, then so be it. Jingchen, this afternoon I was thinking whether I was too kind to Rong Bing. Should I tell her we're together? Why should I be afraid of her?" Zhou Luo didn't want Rong Bing to disturb her every time she went on a date with Fu Jingchen.

If they don't completely harden their hearts, there will always be someone between them, and that feeling is very unpleasant.

"How can we tell Rong Bing that they're together now?" Fu Jingchen disagreed: "Let's wait a month. She doesn't believe in seamless transitions. There's been a lot of negative news about the Fu family these days, and I don't want to cause trouble for my brother."

“Yes, that makes sense.” Zhou Luo nodded.

Before Rong Bing could ask when they would talk tomorrow, the call was hung up on her. She noticed that Fu Jingchen sounded flustered and seemed unable to talk to her. Could it be that there was someone else next to Fu Jingchen?

Rong Bing called back, wanting to ask for the specific time, but found she had been blocked again. However, there was a message in her text messages: "Don't call again, I'll contact you tomorrow."

This statement further confirmed his suspicion that Fu Jingchen was not available to answer the phone at the moment.

After analyzing the situation, she concluded that there was another woman next to Fu Jingchen, and wondered if Fu Jingchen had gone to Fu Jingsheng's house.

Rong Bing pretended to be concerned about her sister and called Rong Yan. She first asked if Han Yue was alright and if she had been affected, and then asked if Fu Jingchen had gone to help. She told Rong Yan that Fu Jingchen knew people in the media.

Rong Yan from Lanshan Garden was typing while answering the phone.

Rong Bing cares about them? Rong Yan didn't believe it. Her first reaction was that Rong Bing had ulterior motives, and sure enough, she mentioned Fu Jingchen at the end.

"Don't worry about it, we don't watch the news anymore, and you don't need to tell me what everyone is saying. I'm pretty busy, bye," Rong Yan said dismissively.

If he wasn't with Fu Jingsheng, could he have gone to the company again? Rong Bing hesitated, clutching her watch, wondering whether she should go check on him.

She was getting ready to change her clothes and go out when Chen Xiu called.

Chen Xiu had just finished meeting a client near Rong Bing's house and asked if Rong Bing was home so she could go over and chat for a while.

Rong Bing canceled her taxi order, cut some fruit, and waited for her friend to arrive.

"She seems to be in a good mood." Chen Xiu had been worried that Rong Bing might do something rash.

"Yes, Fu Jingchen came today," Rong Bing said softly.

Upon hearing this, Chen Xiu jumped up: "Are you two still entangled?"

“He came to delete the photos, and then we…” Rong Bing told Chen Xiu about the two of them having sex. At the end, she said, “Jing Chen still likes me, doesn’t he? Otherwise, why would he be with me? And he was very excited today. We haven’t been together for so long, that’s why he was so excited.”

Chen Xiu rolled her eyes: "Wake up, sister! If you loved me, would you have taken advantage of me and left? Would you have blocked my number? You're just an animal that thinks with its lower body, using me as a toilet to vent your frustrations."

“He’s never been this excited before.” Rong Bing didn’t believe it; she was determined to find evidence that Fu Jingchen still loved her.
