Shen Xingzhi suddenly reached out and touched Rong Yan's face: "Silly girl."
"You're an idiot too."
"Xingzhi, Auntie asked the doctor, and it's okay for you to drink light soup. Is there anything else you particularly want to drink? I'll make it for you when we get back," Han Yue interrupted the two of them, noticing that her daughter-in-law's eyes were moist.
"Then I won't be polite. I want to drink pork tripe soup, pork lung soup, pork kidney soup..." Shen Xingzhi said several dishes at once.
"Are you going to mess with a pig?" Rong Yan glanced at her best friend. "Can she finish all this? Mom, just cook it all together in one pot."
"Sure, I'm not picky. I'm itching to get up and make a barbecue right now." Shen Xingzhi hadn't had roasted lamb for days, and her mouth was watering.
"Then get well soon, and we'll go eat together as soon as you're discharged from the hospital." Rong Yan and Shen Xingzhi made a pinky promise.
When it came to food, both of them felt better.
"Yu Wenhao, you've been guarding Xingzhi for several days. Go back and rest first. I'll stay here this afternoon."
"It's okay, I slept last night." Yu Wenhao stayed by Shen Xingzhi's side, never leaving her side.
"Wenhao, don't be stubborn. Come back tonight. You can't sleep well curled up on a stool." Only after Shen Xingzhi spoke did Yu Wenhao obediently go home.
Rong Yan sent Fu Jingsheng and Han Yue away and whispered something to Shen Xingzhi.
Fu Jingsheng went back to his car and dozed off for a while, while Han Yue went to a nearby supermarket.
In the afternoon, the peaceful hospital was thrown into turmoil again.
Zhou Luo sat on the chair, swung her legs, and found that her back pain seemed to have subsided. So she tried to stand up by supporting herself on the bench, but as soon as she put her weight on her legs, her back started hurting again, so she had to give up.
In late summer, the temperature in Tiancheng fluctuates. Zhou Luo, wearing a shirt, felt a chill as he sat under a tree.
She called Fu Jingchen again and told him that she was in the rest area on the west side of the parking lot.
Fu Jingchen had already visited two stores, but still couldn't find what he was looking for.
"Okay, I'll be there as soon as possible."
After Rong Bing arrived at the hospital, she deliberately avoided the building where Shen Xingzhi was.
She pretended to be a visitor and asked the nurse to help her find out which ward Zhou Luo was in.
She said she couldn't get through to her friend on the phone, so he probably didn't hear her.
Seeing that she had difficulty moving around and was carrying things, the nurse didn't think much of it and found out Zhou Luo's ward number.
Rong Bing mentally prepared herself, thinking that Fu Jingchen shouldn't be here at this time.
After finding the ward, Rong Bing first looked inside through the glass in the door, but there was no one in the ward.
She waited a moment to see if Zhou Luo had gone to the bathroom, but five minutes passed and no one appeared.
Judging from the appearance of the hospital bed, the blanket was pulled back, and there was a kettle and a fruit basket on the bedside table, it was clear that someone lived there, but the person was not there at the moment.
Perhaps he felt too stuffy in the ward, so he went downstairs.
Rong Bing had been to this hospital many times and was very familiar with all the rest areas.
She began searching, place by place.
Next to the parking lot.
Zhou Luo lay down playing on his phone, with earphones in his ears.
She couldn't hear anything around her, and had no idea that Rong Bing was looking for her.
Rong Bing's wheelchair had almost driven around the entire hospital before finally spotting the woman lying on her side under a large, lush tree half an hour later.
She held her phone in front of her, completely absorbed in it.
Rong Bing glanced at her and saw that her limbs were all intact, with no bandages anywhere. Why was she in the orthopedics department?
Could it be a full set?
Zhou Luo feigned illness to lure him into a trap.
Rong Bing cautiously moved forward, but she couldn't get too close so as not to be discovered by Zhou Luo.
The banyan tree branches blocked half of the wheelchair. Seeing that half of the wheelchair was still outside, the woman moved the chair to another path. She returned, leaning on her cane, her thin body perfectly hidden by the tree.
She observed Zhou Luo for a while. Zhou Luo maintained the same posture, only his hands and legs would move slightly.
Rong Bing hid the scissors.
She slowly walked over, and when she was only a few steps away from Zhou Luo, he was completely unaware.
Rong Bing panicked; the more she looked, the more something seemed wrong.
She started to have second thoughts.
The woman took a step back, then quickly stopped. Since she was already there, even if Zhou Luo had deliberately sent her to cause trouble, she said she would just pass by and do nothing, so she wouldn't fall into Zhou Luo's trap.
Rong Bing gritted her teeth and told herself to take a gamble.
She stopped in front of Zhou Luo.
Zhou Luo felt a figure blocking his way. The person seemed to be motionless, so he looked up.
"Rong Bing?"
"Zhou Luo, why are you sleeping here?" Rong Bing asked, remaining silent for the moment.
Zhou Luo sat up, and it was a little difficult for her to get up.
Rong Bing saw everything: "What? Are you sick? What's wrong?"
Zhou Luo knew that Rong Bingcai couldn't possibly care about him.
She scoffed, "Which eye of yours saw that I was sick? Are all people in the hospital patients? What disease do you have then?"
"I came to see Sister Xingzhi, but I didn't expect to run into you. Who did you come to see? Did Fu Jingchen bring you to see Shen Xingzhi as well, or did Fu Jingchen go upstairs by himself and leave you here to wait?" Rong Bing wanted to confirm whether Fu Jingchen had come or not.
"Shen Xingzhi is in the hospital?" Zhou Luo hadn't heard Fu Jingchen mention it.
"You don't know? Everyone in the Fu family knows, how could you not know? Didn't Fu Jingchen tell you?" Rong Bing said sarcastically. "That's right, Sister Xingzhi is my sister's good friend. I'm in the hospital, how could Fu Jingchen let you up there?"
Zhou Luo was indeed angered by Rong Bing's words. She wasn't interested in Shen Xingzhi's matter, but she was concerned that Fu Jingchen was hiding something from her. Fu Jingchen had dinner with Fu Jingsheng and the others last night, so it was impossible that he didn't know about this.
"Rong Bing, stop stirring things up. I'm not familiar with Shen Xingzhi. Why is he talking to me about other people's business?" Zhou Luo said against her will, even though she was clearly unhappy.
"And Jing Chen didn't come to the hospital to see Shen Xingzhi either," Zhou Luo added.
Fu Jingchen's absence suited Rong Bing's wishes perfectly.
"So you weren't visiting a patient at the hospital, then you're sick? Did you catch some kind of unclean drug? I told you before, you need to use protection when you do that kind of thing." Rong Bing continued to poke Zhou Luo in the heart.
"You're the one who's been drugged, watch your mouth." Zhou Luo glared at Rong Bing.
"But I heard you were hospitalized, in the orthopedics department. How could you be in the orthopedics department for poisoning? Did the poison get into your bone marrow? You don't have many days left, do you? Tsk tsk tsk, karma really comes fast." Rong Bing laughed so hard that her shoulders shook.
Zhou Luo stood up angrily, pointing at Rong Bing: "You're the one who's terminally ill, you cripple."
"Who are you calling an eggplant, you chicken?" She slapped Zhou Luo's hand away.
Zhou Luo exerted too much force, and her waist started to hurt violently. She clutched her ribs and wailed.
"Is there something wrong with your back?" Rong Bing observed Zhou Luo's appearance.
"None of your business, get lost!" Zhou Luo roared.
Rong Bing laughed even more unrestrainedly: "Zhou Luo, you've finally met your match."
Rong Bing spread her five fingers and offered them to Zhou Luo's face.
"What are you doing?" Zhou Luo swayed unsteadily, like a newly planted sapling that would fall over in a strong wind.
Rong Bing's long nails dug fiercely into the woman's cheek.
