Chapter 61: A Little Itchy, A Little Pleasant

Rong Yan bowed and touched Fu Jingsheng's lips.

The man wanted to deepen the kiss, but his arm ached, so he could only tilt his head back and bite Rong Yan's lips.

"There's still a sore spot, on my chest." Fu Jingsheng looked down. "Unbutton my clothes and give me a kiss."

Rong Yan: ……

Lying in the hospital bed, you still want to kiss my whole body?

"Fu Jingsheng, you did this on purpose, didn't you?" The woman realized what was happening and patted the man's chest hard.

Accompanied by a pitiful scream, Fu Jingsheng's eyes welled up with tears from the pain.

His expression didn't seem like he was lying.

Upon seeing this, Rong Yan quickly reached out to stroke it with her hand and gently rubbed it with her lips.

The doctor knocked on the door and checked the patient's temperature.

Rong Yan quickly pulled the blanket up for Fu Jingsheng.

The tent was set up, and even though my whole body ached, I still had the energy to think about anything else.

"There's nothing seriously wrong, you can be discharged," the doctor said after examining you.

Fu Jingsheng blinked hard: "Chest tightness, heart palpitations, headache, shouldn't we observe it a little longer?"

"Doctor, I understand, thank you." Rong Yan looked at Fu Jingsheng with a half-smile.

After the doctor left, Rong Yan moved a stool and sat down, stuffing a piece of apple into Fu Jingsheng's mouth: "Are you in heat? Even with your legs tied, it didn't stop you from being in heat, you really are a dog."

Fu Jingsheng chewed on the apple: "I remember now, you said you saved a dog before, that was a veiled criticism of me."

"Aren't you a dog? I was so worried, and you were just lying here whining without any real illness." Rong Yan said angrily, "And I even shed a few tears."

Fu Jingsheng stretched out a hand and patted Rong Yan's head: "I'm sorry, I just want you to take care of me."

"It really hurts, but it did feel better after you kissed me. It didn't hurt as much, it was a little itchy, and it felt a little good." Fu Jingsheng tilted his head.

"Goodbye, big brother. You don't need anyone to take care of you anymore. You're already in heat. I'm going to check on Jian Ming." Rong Yan moved Fu Jingsheng's hand away.

Gu Hannian helped Ye Jianming peel an orange.

Gu Fang went to the cafeteria to get her food.

When Rong Yan came over, Ye Jianming's eyes lit up: "Sister, you finally remembered me?"

Gu Hannian moved aside: "Here you go."

Ye Jianming opened his mouth: "Sis, I want to eat oranges too."

They're all fine, why did you do that?

Rong Yan took half an orange and stuffed it into Ye Jianming's mouth: "Eat slowly."

The man coughed and said, "Trying to murder your brother, sis? Be gentle."

"Let me do it," Gu Hannian said when she saw Ye Jianming's face turn red from coughing.

"Sister Han Nian is the best. You should learn from her."

Rong Yan rolled her eyes: "I was hit by a car too, okay?"

"I'm worried about you, sister. I definitely can't go home like this. Grandma will be worried to death. So I said I'm going on a business trip and will stay at your house for a while." Ye Jianming finally had a reason to stay at Rong Yan's house.

The woman refused without hesitation: "Fu Jingsheng has many rooms at his house. You can stay there, and your aunt and sister can stay at my house."

"Thank you, little sister," Gu Hannian said quickly.

Fu Jingsheng arrived in a wheelchair. Luckily, he came in time; otherwise, it would have been terrible if Ye Jianming had stayed at Rong Yan's house.

The two men were subtly implying something to each other.

“Brother-in-law, I have a lot of rooms over there, and I just need someone to talk to. Come on over.” Fu Jingsheng spun over.

"Who's your brother-in-law? You're just an ex-husband." Ye Jianming has never lost a verbal battle.

Who was lying in bed unable to move just now? How come they're arguing so fiercely now?

Rong Yan rolled her eyes: "Aren't you all supposed to be delicate?"

Even Gu Hannian could tell that the two men were jealous of each other.

She envied Rong Yan so much, having someone willing to risk their life for her in a critical moment.

In the instant of the car crash, all Ye Jianming could think of was Rong Yan. If anything happened to Rong Yan, he would never be happy for the rest of his life. If something happened to him, who would protect Rong Yan?

He realized he had never truly let go. Once he recovered, he would go home and break up with Luo Wan; matters of the heart couldn't be compromised.

Like Fu Jingsheng, his first thought after being hit was how Rong Yan was doing.

He will never let go again in his entire life.

That evening, after the IV drip was finished, Rong Yan hired a caregiver to look after Feng Gang and left him some money, which she considered to have done everything she could for him.

The group of people were discharged from the hospital together.

We found a hotel nearby, booked a designated driver, and headed back to Tiancheng the next day.

Fu Jingsheng wanted to share a room with Rong Yan, but Ye Jianming said he couldn't live alone, so the two men ended up living together and taking care of each other.

Rong Yan shared a suite with her aunt and cousin.

Gu Hannian had nightmares at night, crying in her dreams. Rong Yan was frequently awakened and took care of her older sister as she had taken care of her daughter when they were children.

She patted her sister's back for a while, and whispered in her ear, "Don't be afraid."

When Gu Hannian turned her back to her, Rong Yan saw the deep and shallow scars on her back.

The woman's eyes immediately reddened.

Late at night, Rong Yan couldn't sleep. She tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep, so she sent Fu Jingsheng a message: "Are you asleep?"

In the next room, Ye Jianming was snoring loudly. Fu Jingsheng couldn't sleep at all. When he saw Rong Yan's message, he sat up happily: "No, do you want to talk?"

“Yeah, I can’t sleep either. I’ll stay on the terrace for a while,” Rong Yan replied.

Fu Jingsheng, wrapped in a blanket, came out in a wheelchair.

The hotel's terrace was enclosed, so it wasn't cold at all. The transparent glass room allowed you to look up and see a sky full of stars.

The sky in Chuancheng is much more beautiful than that in Tiancheng.

Rong Yan knelt down.

She told Fu Jingsheng about the scars on Gu Hannian's body.

She was destined to live a life of mere survival, and she didn't want to live like that. She planned to return to Tiancheng and no longer be threatened by Rong Bing.

People should be braver, brave enough to step out and discover that if you really try, it's not that bad.

Fu Jingsheng supported Rong Yan's decision. Rather than hiding, it was better to fight with one's back against the wall. Once this hurdle was overcome, everything would be smooth sailing from then on.

"Come closer to me." The man reached out and pulled Rong Yan.

“I always believe that things will work themselves out. Can Zhao Wenbai alone stand against the Fu family? Yes, and the Ye family too.” Fu Jingsheng would stand by Rong Yan’s side.

His words made me feel very safe.

“Go back and confront Rong Bing,” Rong Yan said.

The two chatted on the terrace until the early hours of the morning, kissed goodbye, and then returned to their respective rooms.

the next day.

Gu Hannian got up early. She didn't know that the hotel had a buffet breakfast. The girl looked around for a pot, wanting to make breakfast for Rong Yan and the others.

The sound of rummaging through the cabinet woke Rong Yan up.

Upon learning that the hotel did not provide pots, Gu Hannian touched her head sheepishly.

She and her mother had never had such a good breakfast before, and the girl cried as she ate.

Rong Yan felt extremely sorry for her.

Gu Fang kept blaming herself, blaming herself for not listening to her family's advice, marrying the wrong person, and making her daughter suffer.

Rong Yan's nose tingled, and she hugged the two people in her arms: "It's okay, life will be like this from now on."

Fu Jingsheng didn't sleep all night. When Ye Jianming's alarm clock rang, the man stared at the ceiling with a look of utter despair, his haggard face unbearable to look at.

Ye Jianming, having had a good night's sleep, nudged Fu Jingsheng: "Ex-husband, wake up."

Fu Jingsheng lifted the bandaged leg and kicked it, and with a crack, he was completely unable to move.
