Chapter 70 You're Going to Be a Full-Time Romance?

Rong Yan was half-drunk and half-awake as Fu Jingsheng patiently coaxed her, but she dared not look at him.

The woman turned her head to one side: "Are you going to spend your whole life dating? Abandoning the company? Giving up business?"

"With all this messing around, will any woman dare to work with me in the future? It's just a little drinking, what's the big deal? You check up on me during the day when you bring me food, and you check up on me again at night when I'm socializing. You're suffocating me," Rong Yan complained to Fu Jingsheng.

The man looked at her in disbelief: "Rong Yan, you speak the truth when you're drunk. Is this what you really think?"

Rong Yan didn't say anything more and called a designated driver to go home.

The next day, after sobering up, she acted as if nothing had happened. She greeted Fu Jingsheng and casually mentioned that she wouldn't be eating lunch at the clinic, implying that he shouldn't bring her any more food.

When the man asked Shen Xingzhi about it, Shen Xingzhi and Rong Yan had already agreed on the same story: when Fu Jingsheng asked, they said they were very busy and had fallen behind on a lot of work recently.

Rong Yan didn't want to continue drinking and courting death, so she went to get a haircut at noon and cut her long hair short. At first glance, she wasn't used to it.

When the woman returned home, Gu Hannian almost didn't recognize her.

She picked up a lock of her sister's hair and said bluntly, "Big curls look pretty good, why did you do it like this? It doesn't look good at all. Can you fix it?"

Rong Yan wanted to make things look like Fu Jingsheng didn't like.

"You should try different styles, your hair isn't going to stop growing. Sis, come here." Rong Yan pulled Gu Hannian aside and gave her a lot of instructions.

That looked exactly like a mother who had been beaten half to death by her father giving her last words.

Gu Hannian immediately noticed something was wrong and asked Rong Yan if something was wrong, but Rong Yan denied it.

She guessed that Rong Yan might be sick, but when she asked the housekeeper, no one had ever seen Rong Yan take medicine. Excluding that, could it be that there were problems in her relationship with her brother-in-law?

When Fu Jingsheng returned, Gu Hannian secretly asked him what had happened between Fu Jingsheng and her sister while Rong Yan was not home.

Fu Jingsheng said he didn't understand either, and in the end the two agreed that Rong Yan must have her reasons, and they would let her observe for a while.

For the next few days, Fu Jingsheng didn't pester Rong Yan; instead, he went about his own business.

Rong Yan thought he had given up.

The woman was somewhat disappointed that Fu Jingsheng gave up so quickly, even though it was the result she wanted.

So after explaining everything, she prepared to pack her things and leave.

Zhao Wenbai booked the boat tickets and arranged for two people to watch Rong Yan arrive at the designated location. To ensure Rong Yan left Tiancheng, he personally went to see her off.

Rong Yan was afraid that bringing too much stuff would arouse suspicion from the servants, so she brought a bag with her every day for several days in a row, leaving her luggage outside in advance.

Gu Hannian felt that the woman's behavior had been abnormal lately, and she reported to Fu Jingsheng every day.

Until that morning, Rong Yan hugged her tightly.

She secretly messaged Fu Jingsheng, and the two of them decided to follow him.

At the secluded dock, Rong Yan saw Zhao Wenbai.

He was wearing a black baseball cap.

Fu Jingsheng, hiding behind, instantly understood.

Gu Hannian thought her sister was going to elope with someone, and she whispered, "There must be some misunderstanding. That person is so old."

Rong Yan and Zhao Wenbai exchanged a few words before preparing to board the ship.

"Rong Yan!" Fu Jingsheng shouted.

The woman was stunned. Why was he here?

Zhao Wenbai suddenly grabbed Rong Yan's neck: "You actually tricked me?"

Rong Yan coughed as she was pinched: "I didn't, I didn't know he would come."

"Zhao Wenbai, let go of Rong Yan." Fu Jingsheng ran forward.

Gu Hannian paused for a few seconds before following them; they seemed to be acquaintances.

The two people who had been arranged in bed beforehand realized that things had changed and ran out.

"Fu Jingsheng, this has nothing to do with you." Zhao Wenbai said as he pulled Rong Yan toward the boat.

“If you don’t let go, I’ll video call my mom,” Fu Jingsheng said, holding up his phone.

Zhao Wenbai's eyes froze. He didn't want to kill Rong Yan because he had lived most of his life for revenge. After meeting Han Yue, he wanted to live for himself for the first time. He let Rong Yan leave on her own so that he could both give an explanation to his deceased family and clear himself of any wrongdoing.

The hand gripping Rong Yan's neck tightened, making it difficult for the woman to breathe.

Fu Jingsheng dialed his mother's video call, but no one answered.

Seeing that two more people were coming forward, he had no choice but to go and save Rong Yan himself.

One against three, he was no match at all.

Seeing that her sister was in danger, Gu Hannian rushed forward.

Having done farm work since childhood, Gu Hannian is even stronger than Fu Jingsheng.

Rong Yan didn't know how she was eventually taken away.

After regaining her senses, she was at the police station.

Zhao Wenbo fell into the sea and his whereabouts are unknown.

The dock's surveillance footage showed that Zhao Wenbai and two other people started the fight. After they gave their statements and signed them, Rong Yan and the others were released.

The old lady of the Fu family saw the news about the dock.

Ever since Rong Yan returned to Tiancheng, her grandson has been getting injured every few days.

The old lady wanted to have a serious talk with Rong Yan.

She knew it was impossible for Fu Jingsheng to give up Rong Yan willingly.

Rong Yan recalled what had happened in the past few months and agreed with the old lady that she would leave Fu Jingsheng.

Fu Jingsheng originally thought that Rong Yan was threatened by Zhao Wenbai. Now that Zhao Wenbai is missing and most likely gone, the danger is over, and they will be together again from now on.

Unexpectedly, Rong Yan still suggested that they return to being friends.

To make Fu Jingsheng give up, she started a new round of self-destructive behavior.

Rong Yan arranged for the four children to stay at Shen Xingzhi's house, while she herself held a pajama fashion show at home.

Twenty friends, both men and women, were invited to attend.

In the evening, friends arrived one after another.

Rong Yan's house was unusually lively.

In order to let Fu Jingsheng see it, Rong Yan deliberately chose to do it in the courtyard.

Everyone changed into all sorts of pajamas, some sexy, some cartoonish.

Rong Yan herself wore a black lace camisole, exuding charm with every gesture.

Fu Jingsheng heard the noise from next door as soon as his car arrived at the door.

Rong Yan said that since she had survived such a close call, she should celebrate properly. The main thing was that she realized that one must enjoy life to the fullest while one is alive, and she would start doing all the things she had wanted to do but dared not do before.

The old lady sat in the yard, finding the noise too much even for someone with hearing loss. When she saw her grandson, she began to complain: "This is her true nature. Dressed like that, dancing together at home, it's outrageous."

Fu Jingsheng was even more popular than his grandmother. He had never seen Rong Yan dressed like that before, with a group of men in her house, watching her dressed up in such a flamboyant way.

Why keep tolerating him? Is it because you think he has no temper at all?

"I'm not trying to be mean, but you've been too good to her, spoiling her to this extent. A man should have principles and not be too indulgent. Before, she was so obedient." The old lady continued to stir things up.

Fu Jingsheng rarely agreed with his grandmother's opinion.

But she was also worried that Rong Yan would be taken advantage of if she dressed like that, so she changed into a nightgown and went over.

Rong Yan was just about to show him how she could be so charming and pleasing to both sides.

She introduced him to everyone, saying that her ex-husband had arrived.

Fu Jingsheng found the pajama show particularly perverted; what was so interesting about dressing like that?

He even saw men and women dancing intimately together. Was the purpose of this show to promote promiscuity?
