"Do many people ask him to cook?" Bai Nuo asked.
Hu Mingmei nodded.
When he said that, Bai Nuo no longer found it strange. This old man was clearly doing limited-edition marketing. "Don't rush!" Hu Mingmei said, "Put the money away first!" Hu Mingmei pointed to the half-bag of money next to him, and then took out a stack of silver notes from his pocket. "Here you go!"
Bai Nuo was startled by the amount of money. She stared blankly at it, not daring to take it, and asked in a daze, "Where did you get so much money?"
Judging by its thickness, it must be worth tens of thousands of taels.
He seems to do nothing but watch over her all the time, so how come he has more money than she does?

"Do you remember I told you that there are three workshops belonging to the Hu family around here?" Hu Mingmei asked casually.

"I also secured the other two; I got all the money from them!" Hu Mingmei said casually.
