Meanwhile, Peony hurriedly told Lu Ying what had happened and asked him to find the shopkeeper. Lu Ying returned shortly after and brought the shopkeeper back. Peony quickly led her people over, but when she tried to enter the house, Peony stopped her, saying, "Second Master and Madam are inside. Let's go in later!"
She couldn't very well say that the Second Master was inside coaxing the Madam.
So the three of them waited outside.
As they waited, only Peony and the shopkeeper remained. Lu Ying needed to go home to be with his wife because it was too late.
But who knew that Bai Nuo and Hu Mingmei slept soundly and didn't wake up. In the middle of the night, Hu Mingmei got up and ordered a late-night snack for Bai Nuo before sending away the person who had been waiting for almost the whole night.
The two of them made up inexplicably.
The next morning, after Hu Mingmei had breakfast with her, he went out again. At noon, Mudan told Bai Nuo that Hu Mingmei had announced to the whole capital that the head of the Hu family had changed. Everyone knew that Bai Nuo was now the wife of the Hu family. In no time, many invitations appeared at the Hu family's door, with Mudan asking Bai Nuo whether she should see him or not.
"You and Granny Wang gather them together and bring all their information to me. I'll decide after I've looked at it." Bai Nuo looked at the pile of invitations in Mudan's hand and felt a headache coming on. After thinking for a moment, she decided to see the ones she couldn't refuse.
Peony knew that she had just married into the family and was not very familiar with things in the capital, so she went down with Granny Wang to take the invitation.
Not long after, Hu Mingmei returned to have lunch with Bai Nuo. During the meal, Bai Nuo brought up the matter, and Hu Mingmei said indifferently, "If you don't want to see them, then you don't have to see them at all. They are all wives of business partners. If I see their husbands, their wives will bother you. You are not feeling well right now, so you can use this excuse to refuse them all."
Bai Nuo said, "I understand, I'll handle it accordingly."
As the two were eating lunch, Peony hurried in and said to them, "The Third Young Master is back and is waiting outside the courtyard. Should we let him in?"
The third young master, Hu Yi'an.
Bai Nuo had only met her brother-in-law once.

Herding those people into that courtyard was already the biggest concession he could make, considering their blood ties.

But just as Hu Mingmei finished speaking, Huang Yi'an walked in and knelt down, startling Bai Nuo.

Hu Mingmei looked at Huang Yi'an, letting him kneel there without telling him to get up. She picked up some food for Bai Nuo and asked indifferently, "What is Young Master Huang doing?"
Bai Nuo ate the food Hu Mingmei had put on her plate quietly, without saying a word.

Huang Yi'an is indeed different from Huang Yikang and Huang Ziyao. Compared to the two of them, Huang Yikang is much smarter.
