"I didn't see it!" said Granny Wang. "But I heard it's nothing serious!"
Bai Nuo nodded and relaxed. Since they hadn't actually fallen, they were naturally unharmed.
"Young Madam, should we tell the Second Master about this?" asked Granny Wang.
Bai Nuo nodded, naturally intending to tell Hu Mingmei, "Go tell the people at the Prince's Mansion that I'm injured and ask the Second Master to come and pick me up."
As the mistress and servant were talking, the door was pushed open, and Huang Ziyao poked her head in, asking softly, "Sister-in-law, may I come in?"
Bai Nuo nodded. "Come in!"
Huang Ziyao hurriedly came in and closed the door behind her. She went straight to Bai Nuo's side, and Wang Mama brought her a stool. After she sat down, she asked, "Sister-in-law, it's all my fault. If I hadn't called you over, this wouldn't have happened."
Bai Nuo was sitting perfectly fine at the entrance; it was only because she insisted on making her talk to her cousin that things turned out this way.
Bai Nuo shook her head. "It's not your fault, it's my fault for being careless."
Huang Ziyao still felt very guilty and apologized several times before asking, "Sister-in-law, did you see my cousin when you came over?" She had been looking for Zheng Qing'er for a long time but couldn't find her.
Bai Nuo shook her head. "I didn't see it."
Huang Ziyao muttered to herself, "That's strange. My cousin is injured. Where could she have gone?"
"Maybe she went home!" Bai Nuo said when she saw Huang Ziyao's puzzled look. Although this girl was initially at odds with her, she realized that Huang Ziyao wasn't so bad after all, and Bai Nuo felt a bit more favorably toward Huang Ziyao.
"Wasn't she said to be seriously injured? Maybe she went home to see a doctor."
"Impossible!" Huang Ziyao denied categorically, "The Zheng family's carriages are still here."
