Hu Mingmei chuckled lightly, "Listen, your parents are watching from next door. Tell me, how does it feel to let them watch you suffer?"
Tao Hong had been fully conscious the whole time, and after being splashed, she became even more sober. However, she couldn't speak; it was as if she had phlegm stuck in her throat, making a clicking sound with every movement.
Hu Mingmei didn't expect her to speak. He simply got up, walked over, and took the red-hot branding iron from the fire pit. "You don't need to speak. Just answer whatever I ask you. If you lie, I'll stick this branding iron on your face. Understand?"
Tao Hong nodded, indicating that she understood.
