Chapter 64 Food Poisoning?

After tidying up the house, Bai Nuo took Bai Yu to the river to pick wild vegetables. This was their first meal after moving in, but it was getting late and there wasn't much to prepare. They decided to make a bowl of noodles and some wild vegetable porridge for Grandma as dinner.

The two siblings, one picking vegetables and the other gathering firewood, held hands and went home.

After returning home, Bai Nuo went to knead the dough. As soon as she opened the flour bag, she noticed that the handprints on the flour were a bit strange. Although she had flour at home, she didn't use it often, and she always used a bowl to hold the flour. Where did the handprints come from? But Bai Nuo couldn't remember whether she had done it unintentionally or not, so she didn't think much of it.

After mixing the flour with salt water until it turned into clumps, Bai Nuo kneaded it into a stiff dough and let it ferment for a while. Then, she rolled out the dough, cut it into sections, rolled them into strips, pinched them together, stretched them out, and then went to boil water.

"Sister!" Bai Yu ran over excitedly, "Grandma woke up and is looking for you."

"Really?" Bai Nuo paused, slammed the lid on the pot, stood up, and ran out.

Under the dim light, the noodles on that table looked particularly lonely.

"Where is he awake?"

Bai Nuo excitedly ran into the house, but when she saw the old woman, her eyes were still tightly closed, and she was in the same position, not moving at all. She didn't seem to be awake at all.

"But!" Bai Yu was also stunned, and he retorted in disbelief, "I clearly saw Grandma move just now." He opened his eyes wide to look at Grandma, but she didn't move at all. "Sister, I really saw it."

"Just because you see it doesn't mean Grandma is awake. Alright, come and eat," Bai Nuo said, sounding somewhat disappointed.

Bai Yu followed Bai Nuo into the kitchen, turning back every few steps.

As soon as I entered the kitchen, I saw a big black dog with its front paws on the table and its mouth reaching for the cutting board, happily eating raw noodles.

"You damn dog!" Bai Yu was so angry that he took off his shoe and slapped the dog's butt.

With a "woof," the dog jumped up and, seeing the two of them return, darted away from them.

Bai Yu took off chasing after him.

"Stop chasing!" Before he could finish speaking, Bai Yu had already run off, and his shouts and the barking of his dog echoed in.

Bai Nuo looked at the dirty noodles on the cutting board and sighed.

"Sis, I made the dog throw up!" Bai Yu came in with a long face, holding a shoe in his hand, looking panicked. "Do you think they'll cause me trouble?"

Bai Yu also recognized this dog; it belonged to Huang Yanfen. He wondered if Huang Yanfen would cause him trouble if she found out he had hit her dog.

"The dog vomited?" Bai Nuo was taken aback. "Why did you hit it so hard?"

"I didn't!" Bai Yu was really about to cry. "I only hit it once, and it vomited and collapsed on the ground."

"Alright, stop crying. Let's go outside and see what's going on." We might end up having to pay for someone else's dog.

As soon as Bai Nuo went outside, she saw the black dog lying on the ground with white foam in its mouth, whimpering. Its belly was unusually large. When it saw the two of them coming, it neither hid nor barked, but just whimpered.

"What should we do? That damn Huang Yanfen."

"Alright, stop crying. Don't be so irritable in the future. We'll explain when she arrives."

While Bai Nuo and Bai Yu were talking, the dog let out another miserable howl, then jumped up and vomited violently. After vomiting, it even defecated on the spot, creating a terrible stench.

However, Bai Nuo's eyes darkened as she looked at the pile of dog poop.

This dog is vomiting and has diarrhea.
