“Miss…” Granny Li was almost in tears. She was doing just fine at her job, why was she being sent to another place? Even though she could still get a monthly salary, there was no place where the money was more lucrative than in the county magistrate's office.
Who is this person? She lost her job the moment she arrived? Granny Li's gaze towards Bai Nuo began to stray.
"Alright, that's enough. This girl is leaving soon. You can go back with her," Li Jinyu said forcefully.
Bai Nuo sighed softly, never expecting things to turn out this way.
"Who is this old lady?" Jiang Qiao'er had already come up after leaving the magistrate's residence. Seeing that Bai Nuo was unharmed, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief, and then noticed Granny Li.
"Auntie, I'm sorry, you can stop here for today. Go back to work now." After meeting up with Jiang Qiao'er, Bai Nuo turned around and said to Granny Li. She needed people, but she absolutely did not want anyone who followed her unwillingly.
In the end, it will be the old lady who gets hurt. Isn't this just asking for trouble?

Li Jinyu thought Granny Li would be willing to leave as long as she had money, but that wasn't the case.
"Thank you, young lady!" Seeing that Bai Nuo was not determined to take her away, Granny Li was overjoyed and bowed to Bai Nuo, who quickly avoided her.
"Who is this?" Jiang Qiao'er asked after Granny Li left. "What happened in there? Did Miss Li make things difficult for you? How come there's suddenly another person coming out?"
"No, let's go eat!" Bai Nuo said calmly, pulling Jiang Qiao'er towards Quanjulou, briefly recounting the events to her as they walked.
Of course, Bai Nuo didn't mention that Li Jinyu had given her one hundred taels of silver.
"To celebrate your safe return, I've decided we should have a nice meal!" Jiang Qiao'er said generously. "It's your treat!"
"Sure, sure!" Having made some money, Bai Nuo had no intention of shortchanging herself. "Order whatever you want, it's not a big deal!"
The two girls ordered a squirrel fish, crispy roast duck, braised pork knuckle, spicy peanuts, and an ice cream. They then ordered a pot of Maojian tea before starting to eat heartily.
After eating for half an hour, Bai Nuo and Jiang Qiao'er, both heavily pregnant, walked towards San Niang's Cloth Shop.
As soon as I entered, I sensed that something was off.
Because there were no customers left in the cloth shop.
It's lunchtime now. Although there won't be many customers, there shouldn't be none at all.
The cloth shop wasn't empty; there were people there: Old Lady Yu, Yu Ziqing, Jiang San Niang, and another girl.
But can Old Lady Yu and Yu Ziqing be considered guests?
cannot.
Jiang Qiao'er saw that there was no one there after she had only gone out for a short while, but instead she was greeted by two troublemakers. Her expression was not good. She walked over and stood next to her sister, asking in a low voice.
Jiang San Niang's expression was also not good. Although she was still smiling, her smile looked somewhat unnatural.
"What's going on, sister? Where are our guests? Why is everyone gone?" Jiang Qiao'er asked.
"The old lady said she wanted to buy something here, so I asked everyone to leave," Jiang Sanniang said calmly.
"No way?" Jiang Qiao'er almost jumped up, but seeing that the only four girls in the room looked over after she raised her voice just a little, she immediately lowered her voice and whispered, "Sister, are you crazy? What could they possibly buy?" Did Old Lady Yu ever pay for anything she came here to buy? No, okay? Saying they're buying things is more like saying they're just looking for something.
"Who is that girl?" Bai Nuo asked quietly. "Didn't they say they asked all the guests to leave? Why is there still one girl here?"
"That girl came with the old lady. She said she's her niece from her hometown and just arrived today, so she came to buy her two bolts of cloth to make clothes," Jiang San Niang explained to Bai Nuo.
"You believe that?" Bai Nuo asked irritably. The girl's eyes were practically glued to Yu Ziqing, and she was standing very close to him. Yu Ziqing didn't seem to mind or avoid her at all; on the contrary, they were chatting and laughing happily.
When the girl smiled, she also had a shy expression on her face.
Isn't that too abnormal?
Which niece looks at her brother with such a shy, ambiguous, or perhaps adoring gaze?
“I believe Ziqing!” Jiang Sanniang said calmly. “Ziqing said that there was nothing between him and that girl, they were just childhood sweethearts.”
The most likely thing to go wrong is a childhood sweetheart relationship, isn't it? Perhaps Yu Ziqing doesn't have any ulterior motives towards that girl and just treats her as a younger sister, but that girl may not necessarily see Yu Ziqing as a older brother.
Seeing Yu Ziqing, his wife, and the girl together, Bai Nuo inexplicably felt that the three of them were quite compatible, almost like a family.
"Damn it, how dare my niece from the countryside get so close? She's not ashamed at all!" Jiang San Niang could tolerate Yu Ziqing getting so close to a woman, but Jiang Qiao'er couldn't stand it.
