"Don't go! The more you go, the worse things will get!" Hu Mingmei pulled Bai Nuo aside and shook his head at her. He never felt that Jiang San Niang needed any help. She might be pitiful, but she was also hateful. It was all her own doing.
Those who reap what they sow will not live.
Bai Nuo knew that it was not appropriate for her to go out, as things would only get worse if she did. But now, looking at this old woman Yu with her fierce and murderous expression, if she didn't go out and stop her, was she supposed to let Jiang San Niang be beaten to death?

“That’s right!” Bai Nuo nodded. “If it weren’t for this younger sister, I think Third Sister would have given all her wealth to that man.” Although that’s pretty much the case now.

Bai Nuo looked at Hu Mingmei's indifferent expression and asked, "What about me? Would you be willing to give me everything you have?" Although she knew that this question was a bit unreasonable, she still really wanted to know.

"I'm willing!" Hu Mingmei hugged her, a hint of helplessness in his voice. "I really am willing, but you don't believe me when I say it, and then you keep asking."
Then, before Bai Nuo could get angry, he added, "I didn't mean to say you were being unreasonable."
Bai Nuo was about to say, "Are you trying to say I'm being unreasonable?" but Hu Mingmei's next words left Bai Nuo speechless.
It wasn't that she didn't trust Hu Mingmei. Although she had only known Hu Mingmei for a few months, Bai Nuo felt a sense of security from him.
But no matter what, she still wanted to hear Hu Mingmei say it herself. Women are always like this, sinking into one promise after another, with a touch of sweetness and a touch of doubt, forever tormented.
"I'll trust you this once!" Bai Nuo stepped out of Hu Mingmei's arms and looked at Jiang Sanniang and the others.

A slap landed, and when she paused, her swollen hand immediately began to ache terribly—actually, when she was still in that secret room at the Fulai Inn, Old Lady Yu's hand ached just like it was now, but at that time, Old Lady Yu was only focused on getting out, and every cell in her body was consumed by fear, so she didn't feel the pain.
