After capturing Zhao Jinhu, Hu Mingmei acted as if nothing had happened, treating him like air, throwing him into a cell and calling it a day. At first, Zhao Jinhu was shocked when he was thrown into the cell. What kind of place was the Hu family that they had set up a private prison? He was sure he was going to die. He thought Hu Mingmei would probably torment him. But after he came in, Hu Mingmei didn't care about him at all. Not only had Zhao Jinhu never seen Hu Mingmei before, but neither had the people around Hu Mingmei. After a few days of this anxiety, Zhao Jinhu calmed down and spent his days keeping company with rats.
The Hu family members felt that nothing had changed. They still served two masters. The male master was still an ice block and would never say a word to them, while the female master was still easy to get along with.
But these servants sensed that the Hu family was different. First of all, there were more and more people guarding the courtyard that they couldn't enter. More than a dozen male servants were transferred to various parts of the mansion to patrol in shifts, and they would be scolded if they even got close.

In the mornings, they studied academic subjects, and in the afternoons, they followed Hu Mingmei around. As they finished eating and prepared to leave, Bai Nuo gave them a final instruction, "Don't let Shiba leave your side!"
The person who injured Bai Yu and Jiang Qiao'er has not been found yet, and it seems like an accident. But even if no one intentionally hurt them, Bai Nuo doesn't want them to get hurt again.
"Okay!" the two children replied in unison, then said to their grandmother and Bai Nuo, "Grandma, sister, we're going out now!"
Grandma nodded and smiled in approval before Bai Yu and Jiang Qiao'er went out with their schoolbags.
After Bai Yu and Jiang Qiao'er left, the old woman asked, "Is Ming'er alright?"
Upon hearing this, Bai Nuo paused for a moment before replying, "He's fine, Grandma. Why do you ask? He's alright."
"Normally, no matter how busy he is, he'll still come back to be with you. But he didn't come back those two days. Now he's back to how he used to be. What, has everything been resolved?"
Bai Nuo was still quite shocked when she heard this. The old woman stayed in her room all day, seemingly not caring about or knowing anything, but she still knew that Hu Mingmei had an accident.
"It's alright!" Bai Nuo said with a smile. "I just went to another city, it's nothing serious, so don't worry!" As she spoke, Bai Nuo put a side dish on the old woman's plate. "I made this a couple of days ago, try it and see how it tastes."
The old woman put down her chopsticks and said calmly, "Ming'er has it tough too. Now that he's in the capital, things will only get harder. It's not like when we were back in our hometown. If it's convenient for you, please help him out so he can have an easier time."
Bai Nuo was shocked. Did this old lady know something? Shocked, but not daring to say anything, he could only nod and agree.
Even without the old woman saying anything, she was already planning to help Hu Mingmei.
"Young Madam!" Just as the two grandmothers and granddaughters were talking, Peony walked in. Bai Nuo glanced at her, and Peony handed over a gold-embossed invitation card. "The Fourth Princess Consort invites you to a banquet."

"What does that have to do with me?" Bai Nuo asked curiously. It was understandable that the Fourth Princess wanted to share something good with her sisters-in-law, but she and the Fourth Princess were not sisters-in-law.
"Perhaps it's because of the princess and the county princess!" Peony laughed. "Our eldest princess of the Hu family is the sister of the founding emperor. In a way, our family and the royal family are the same family!" Although the Hu family is now in business, the eldest princess started the Hu family's business, which is different from other merchants. Who would dare to look down on them?
