Hu Mingmei quickly grabbed Bai Nuo's hand and pulled her away. Bai Nuo leaned half her body on Hu Mingmei's shoulder, but she still didn't let go. Holding onto Hu Mingmei's shoulder, she shouted, "Tell me honestly, why is your monthly allowance so low? Are you hiding money?"
“What are you saying, Madam? You only give me two taels of silver a month, how could I possibly have any money to hide?” Hu Mingmei said with a smile in her eyes, and slapped Bai Nuo.
When Hu Mingmei patted a certain part of his body, Bai Nuo immediately shuddered as if he had been stroked, and quickly climbed off him.
"Young Madam!" Wang Mama's voice rang out from outside. Bai Nuo acted as if she had been caught doing something wrong and quickly straightened her clothes. Hu Mingmei found it amusing when she saw her like this and kindly reached out to help her straighten her clothes.
But as Hu Mingmei was tidying up, she started to neglect her duties. Bai Nuo was afraid that Granny Wang would come in. What was that rascal thinking all day long?
"Don't touch me!" Bai Nuo slapped Hu Mingmei's hand, touched her hair to make sure it wasn't messed up, and then leisurely went out.
Hu Mingmei looked at the back of her hand that Bai Nuo had slapped. This girl really hit hard; it's all red now.
In the outer room, Granny Wang brought the two maids in. "Young mistress, this is a peony, and this is a peony!"
The two maids knelt down in unison, "Peony and Peony greet the young mistress."
Peony and Peony were both around fifteen or sixteen years old. Peony had a round face, while Peony had an oval face. On the roster, Granny Wang described them as hardworking and reliable.
However, Bai Nuo felt that Peony was more clever, while Peony was more honest.

Peony knew that this was a test from Bai Nuo. If she could pass it well, she might win Bai Nuo's heart even more. So she wasn't afraid. With the courage Bai Nuo gave her, she turned around and went out.
Bai Nuo could hear the noise outside getting louder and louder, and it looked like a fight was about to break out. Wang Mama and Shaoyao were extremely anxious inside. "Isn't this going to be a fight? How can Sister Mudan beat them? No, Madam, this servant must go and help Sister Mudan!"
Bai Nuo glanced at Shao Yao; this girl was truly sincere, she was almost in tears.
"Granny Wang!"
When Wang Mama heard Bai Nuo call her name, she straightened up. Bai Nuo said calmly, "The doctor said that the Second Master's health is not good, and the best environment for him to live is a quiet one.
