"What did you say?" The two looked at her in astonishment.
Zheng Quchi is like a top salesperson. She first explains the advantages and disadvantages of the products on the market to establish her professionalism, and then starts to promote her own products.
With a confident look in her eyes and a composed demeanor, she took out the rolled-up blueprints from her homemade handbag.
Do you want to see it?
Do you want to see it?
With this presented to them, whether out of doubt, curiosity, or a desire to prove something, they couldn't refuse her invitation.
Shi Hetong hesitated and reached out, only to bump into Mu Gaoyi.
So the two looked at each other and then took it together.
As they unrolled the blueprints, their eyes swept across the rectangular sheet of paper. At first glance, they were mesmerized, and once they continued to stare, they were unable to look away.
Shi Hetong suddenly leaned closer, his eyes practically glued to it.
Zheng Quchi's sketching skills were superb. His shapes and structures allowed people to intuitively grasp the overall form of things. This kind of presentation is a visual shock to craftsmen who still use circles and frames to represent objects when drawing icons.
The horse-drawn carriage she painted seemed to leap off the paper, so lifelike that it became a three-dimensional image through lines and shading.
Mu Gaoyi's eyes widened in surprise. He turned his head and asked her, "Did you draw this?!"
Sketching originated in the 14th century, and if the historical process of this world is similar to that of her world, then it will not appear for several hundred years.
Zheng Quchi was not skilled in ink painting, so he always used sketching without the aid of a computer or tablet.
"You've already seen it, what do you think?"
How about it?
The two were somewhat bewildered, and a little flustered.
They felt that... aside from recognizing it as a large, luxurious, and imposing vehicle, they couldn't offer any profound or insightful opinions for the time being.
...To put it simply, laymen see the spectacle, while experts see the details. Neither of them could understand what made it so impressive, except for its appearance.
Shi Hetong pulled back his jaw, which had dropped in astonishment. He took the blueprints from Gao Muyi's hand and walked to Zheng Quchi's side.
"This vehicle... are you planning to make it four-wheeled? Is it for hauling goods or for carrying passengers? What is the meaning of the carvings on it? I've never heard of anything like it before. But such a luxurious and grand vehicle would be a waste to use it for transporting supplies or cargo. Why not design it as a two-wheeled vehicle for carrying passengers?"
It was originally designed as a multi-purpose vehicle for carrying people, goods, and cargo; otherwise, why would it be designed to be so large?
Mu Gaoyi also rushed over, snatched back the blueprints, and retorted, "Is this the kind of problem you're concerned about? Look at this vehicle, the diameter of all four wheels is relatively small. How are you supposed to rim the wheels? It's long and slender, and the carriage is so large, yet it can be pulled by only two or three horses. Is that reasonable?"
It is reasonable. As long as the weight of the vehicle body is reduced and the overall structural strength meets the requirements, it is reasonable.
After listening to Mu Gaoyi's words, Shi Hetong nodded in agreement: "Indeed, with such a long carriage, won't it shake a lot once it starts moving? If the wheels make a sudden turn, won't the axle crack, causing it to lose balance and overturn?"
This is indeed a common problem for most four-wheeled vehicles; they have very strict requirements regarding road conditions. They cannot go uphill, on narrow roads, through water, at high speeds, or make turns...
The more the two talked, the more they felt that the drawing was quite impressive at first glance, mainly because of its novel and rare drawing technique, but it could not withstand close scrutiny.
After all, it is now in the hands of craftsmen, not painters, who are more concerned with the design content than with the ostentatious and gorgeous painting skills.
Thinking that she had just been criticizing and boasting about their design drawings, it was now their turn to "retaliate."
However, Zheng Quchi did not give them this opportunity.
She then pulled out a stack of papers from her crossbody bag and waved them in front of them: "I have solutions for all of these. Now I just want to ask you one question: if this car is manufactured, can it crush all the cars that Ye Kingdom has currently imported from other countries?"
They couldn't help but swallow hard as they looked at the thick stack of papers in her hand.
He wondered to himself, "Is it real or fake?"
Shi Hetong's heart was beating a little fast. He licked his lips and said, "Are you serious, or are you just teasing us with a bunch of blank papers?"
Mu Gaoyi didn't quite believe it either, but he also felt somewhat convinced; he was so confused he was practically twisting his thoughts.
Zheng Quchi deliberately asked Fu Rong to present himself as a mature and dignified young man, in order to gain credibility at this crucial moment.
Her eyes narrowed, her expression turning fierce: "You think I'm joking? Well then, let me explain two points to you now."
She pulled out two sheets of design paper, including the dimensions of the carriage shape, load-bearing capacity, passenger capacity, and cargo volume.
There is also a comparison of application data regarding the design of slender carriages, rather than square or long and wide carriages. In comparison, the narrow and long carriages are more suitable for traveling on various terrains and are also more conducive to turning.
After her explanation of one point, they immediately understood just how much skill they needed to learn in car manufacturing.
How far-fetched they were to think they could build a truly unique car!
The two men are now somewhat inclined to believe her, but they also feel that she is only a craftsman and should not have such a high level of skill.
But the undeniable fact before them is that she is indeed more reasonable and more capable than the car they designed.
Mu Gaoyi's eyes lit up with excitement as he recalled her question: "If you really can build this car, then, then it's absolutely possible! The cars that Ye Kingdom can basically offer are all made by Beiyuan Kingdom and Hongsheng Kingdom. Not only are they expensive, but we also have to beg and plead with those merchants before they'll sell them to us..."
