Just around noon, the Ye soldiers, facing imminent danger, lifted their protective gear and forced them to remove all their protective clothing. Then, they were carried away from below in baskets.
They had no idea what the Ye army intended to do, and assumed that the Ye army couldn't produce good things themselves, so they coveted the equipment they were wearing, which was utterly shameless.

But how to live, and what price to pay to survive, are things they need to consider and weigh.
Zheng Quchi saw that they were silent, but it was this long silence that gave her the answer she wanted.
"What if I want to live? What if I don't want to live?" Chen Tangzhong shouted from the crowd.
His injured leg had not been treated, and to prevent it from being aggravated by being squeezed by others, the soldiers surrounded him, making him the easiest to spot in that crowded pit.
Zheng Quchi turned his gaze to him and looked him over. The once arrogant General Shen was now disheveled and dirty. Perhaps everything else had changed, but the arrogant hatred in him remained the same.
Zheng Quchi knew that he still held onto hope, thinking that she wouldn't dare kill him, and that as soon as his reinforcements arrived, he would be able to escape from this hellish place.
