Zheng Quchi couldn't stand the stench either. Not being disgusted was one thing, but in order to proceed smoothly, she stuffed two wads of cotton she had prepared beforehand into her nose.

Fu Rong remained silent, and she assumed he was grieving and reminiscing. She never expected him to say something like that. She felt a growing sense of unease and glanced at him thoughtfully, remaining expressionless.

She stopped trying to engage with Fu Rong and instead focused intently on reaching out to the corpse inside the coffin. Once again, she slowly removed the mask of the shaman... But this time, she was more composed and her mind was much calmer.
