Zheng Quchi finally understood the purpose of the person who scattered the hidden weapons on the ground. She panicked and was about to remind Liu Fengmian when the quick-witted aunt covered her mouth.
"Waaah!"
The older woman frowned, trying to shut her up: "Don't you want to know how important you are to your husband? If he's willing to suffer a little, you'll get what you want."
The two looked like newlyweds, so she didn't believe that the little black girl wouldn't care about these things.
Zheng Quchi shook his head vigorously: I don't want to!
The aunt was surprised and continued to use her trump card: "Don't you want to know if he really has an eye disease when he covers his eyes with an eye veil, or if he's just trying to deceive your sympathy? Let me tell you, this man is obviously not a dutiful, stable husband. He is definitely hiding his darkest and most unspeakable side from you."
The little black girl didn't see it, but she would never misjudge how those eyes felt when they landed on her. It was a look that could kill without hesitation and see human life as worthless.
Zheng Quchi glared at her and continued to shake his head vigorously: No! No!
As if she understood the meaning in Zheng Quchi's eyes, the aunt gasped. She looked at Zheng Quchi as if she were looking at that hopeless love-struck fool, and she was so angry that she was practically fuming.
She really is stubborn and won't listen to reason, just acting all silly and awkward!
"Don't you really want to see the person you see, showing you their most authentic self without reservation?"
If Zheng Quchi hadn't been worried about the sharp dagger around his neck, he would have loved to turn around and punch her.
What is she thinking? Who does she think she is?
Even if I wanted to, I would never do it this way.
Who are these people?
Did they think that by seemingly possessing some shady secrets about Liu Fengmian, they could brainwash her into obediently cooperating with them and plotting against her?
Pah!
Her mind is absolutely clear and lucid.
There were indeed many problems between her and him, but they were all internal conflicts.
But who are they to her?
enemy--
Seeing her stubborn and unyielding demeanor, the aunt was so angry that she wanted to teach her a real lesson, but when she caught a glimpse of the leader's cold, warning gaze, she shuddered and could only suppress her anger.
No, she couldn't hold it in any longer; she wanted to vent all her anger on the man who had offended the leader.
The older woman covered Zheng Quchi's mouth with one hand and held a dagger to her throat with the other: "Six! If you don't come over, you can wait to collect your wife's corpse!"
Yuwen Sheng was 90% certain that she wouldn't actually kill Zheng Quchi, but what if it was to vent her anger and cause harm?
He couldn't guarantee it.
Her eyes, hidden beneath the veil, met Zheng Quchi's gaze. She shook her head frantically at him, her expression urgent, even though she knew he "couldn't see," she still wanted to make him sense her opposition through her large movements.
"Located square, don't move, just wait there obediently."
The gentle yet firm voice startled Zheng Quchi. A warm, thick liquid flowed from her neck, a cut she had inadvertently made by a sharp object while struggling and twisting.
When Yuwen Sheng saw the knife gleamingly placed beside Zheng Quchi's neck, the blood flowing from the wound stirred up a bloodthirsty impulse in his mind.
His heart raced, killing intent surged through his veins, blood welled in his eyes, and his breathing became rapid.
He covered his face with a pale, veiny hand, trying his best to control himself and not lose control, not to reveal the manic and mad killing look that belonged to Yuwen Sheng.
...I can't scare her.
Endure it.
You must endure it.
"good."
He took a step.
Another step.
How could he not know what was ahead?
The smile that spilled from the corners of his mouth twisted and widened, his crimson lips looked as if they were stained with blood, cold and perverse.
With another step, his foot landed on the hidden weapon as expected, but he was still smiling, the pain transforming into another kind of pleasure.
Without stopping, each step measured in time, after a dozen or so steps, blood began to seep from the soles of his feet, leaving red footprints one after another on the ground.
He didn't stop, even though he was covered in blood, even though the blood had formed a long trail of footprints along the way, he remained steadfast and walked towards Zheng Quchi.
Teacher Li stared in disbelief, not expecting that he would not dodge or avoid, but instead walk directly across the "ground needle".
Although the "ground needles" are scattered over a wide area, they are not dense. If a normal person can see them, they can easily avoid the location of the hidden weapons and choose a safe open space to walk.
But he didn't do that; instead, like a blind man, he didn't avoid any step...
When Zheng Quchi saw the long string of bloody footprints, his eyes stung and turned red, and his eyes widened.
It's estimated that every step he took was like being pierced through the soles of his shoes by hidden weapons, penetrating into his flesh and then being pulled out, a cycle of torture that must have been incredibly painful!
Zheng Quchi bit hard into the palm of the aunt's hand that was covering her mouth. As she pulled away in pain, Zheng Quchi choked out a loud cry to Liu Fengmian.
"Fengmian, stop! Don't go!"
Enraged, she turned around and, due to her height, rammed her head into the old woman's nose. Taking advantage of the old woman's dizziness and nosebleed, she ran towards Liu Fengmian.
Zheng Quchi's wolfish ruthlessness truly frightened the aunt. She hesitated for a moment, clutching her bleeding nose, but then let her run away.
Damn it!
Yuwen Sheng was surprised that Zheng Quchi disregarded his own safety and managed to save himself before he could rescue him.
