Huo Yanting sat in a chair looking at his phone, his head slightly lowered. Su Miao leaned in from behind, her face very close to Huo Yanting's, their skin almost touching.
Their breaths mingled, creating an indescribable feeling. (Author's note: Pfft, you can all understand this yourselves; I won't write out the words to avoid being censored.)
Huo Yanting's deep pupils darkened. He turned his head and glanced at Su Miao indifferently, then wrapped his large hand around Su Miao's slender waist, pulled her into his arms, and placed her on his lap.
Holding Su Miao in his arms, he looked at his phone and answered her question, "Some things at the company."
Su Miao was startled by Huo Yanting's sudden action. Her face flushed slightly, and she felt very uncomfortable sitting on Huo Yanting's lap. She twisted her body a couple of times, wanting to get off.
The man, aroused by Su Miao's actions, growled, "Will you move again?"
His eyes were filled with a dangerous glint, and Su Miao froze when she met his gaze.
The two stayed in the private room for a while, and only after Huo Yanting put away his phone did they prepare to go back.
“I just saw Meng Qianwei in the restroom,” Su Miao said.
"Oh." Huo Yanting's expression was indifferent, as if the name he heard was that of a complete stranger.
"You and her..." Su Miao really wanted to ask what Huo Yanting's attitude was towards Meng Qianwei, but she was afraid that Huo Yanting would think she was meddling in other people's business!
What if… Su Miao dared not ask any further.
"What happened between her and me?" Huo Yanting asked.
What is Su Miao thinking?
"It's nothing." Su Miao grinned, then picked up her bag and walked out of the private room with Huo Yanting, leaving the restaurant.
Over the next few days, Huo Yanting had to go on a business trip, and Su Miao had graduated, so she was quite bored at home and picked up her computer to continue writing.
Her books were getting longer and longer, and her grades were getting better and better. As she ranked higher, the editors valued her highly.

In the morning, Su Miao came to the restaurant for breakfast as usual, but the smell of milk made her stomach churn again, so she pulled out her chair and ran to the restroom.
"Ugh—" came the sound of vomiting.
Hearing the noise, Aunt Liu ran to the bathroom and saw that Su Miao was vomiting badly. An idea flashed through her mind, and she went to Su Miao's side to help her wipe her mouth with a tissue.
After Su Miao finally calmed down, she heard Liu Ma say something that was so shocking it was almost unbelievable: "Madam, you wouldn't be... pregnant, would you?"

She remembered that last time she was eating at a restaurant, she felt a little unwell and then went to the restroom to vomit.
