Please take a chapter off
After finishing one plot, I haven’t sorted out the next plot yet, so I’ll take a break for one chapter.
By the way, answer a few questions that are frequently asked in the comment section.
One is the issue of rhythm. Some readers said that the pace is slow and the protagonist grows slowly. This is indeed a problem, but how should I put it? This is intentional.
First of all, this book is not about being invincible and awesome. Even if the protagonist’s cheats are powerful enough, it is still difficult for him to crush others in terms of strength and power.
Some readers don’t like the protagonist’s father to be in the spotlight and prefer to read about a strong protagonist. There is currently no way to solve this problem. Li Xuanjing is an extremely important character in the whole book, and it is really unacceptable. I sincerely suggest that you read another book.
Secondly, I said when I put the book on the shelves that the world view of this book is not very large, there will be no ascension or other worlds or anything like that. If the pace is too fast, it may be completed in less than a million words.
In fact, if you often read new books, you will find that many books with a fast pace and good first orders are often completed or discontinued with just a few hundred thousand orders.
The length I originally planned for this book was about two million words. It could be a little longer or a little shorter, within plus or minus 200,000 words, but there wouldn't be much difference.
I have written 900,000 words so far. My previous book was almost finished at this word count. For this one, I feel I can write at least another 800,000 or 900,000 words, which is also an improvement.
The more I think about writing books in the past few years, the shorter each one becomes. This time, there is finally a slight upward trend, so I would rather slow down the pace, even if it means sacrificing some achievements.
There is another more important question, which is about the heroine.
I have to admit that a person's writing style, or thinking style, is difficult to change. I am quite good at the Shura field and the tug-of-war before marriage, but I still haven't learned how to write about the heroine in the harem after marriage.
I have also read other harem novels, and many of them start writing about love and affection at length after the marriage. As you can all see, the scale of the chapters I wrote about the bridal chamber was so extreme that it would be blocked immediately after being published. The editor also specifically reminded me to pay attention to the scale, so I would never write like that later.
Of course, this is not an excuse. If I can't write well, I can't write well. Being bad at writing is my original sin. To write about daily life in this area, I still have to rely more on flashes of inspiration, otherwise I will be very deliberate. Unfortunately, if I update daily, I don't have time to wait for inspiration.
When I first started writing the book, inspiration kept popping up and I could never finish it. After writing for a long time, I had to rely more on advance planning, and I felt a bit like a middle-aged man who was overwhelmed.
The planning for the second half will try to integrate the main storyline and the female storyline as much as possible, so that they will not be too divided, but it requires careful plot design, and the typing speed will not be very fast, so I may not be able to avoid taking leave, and I can only update more when things are going well.
There probably won’t be such a long chapter in the future, and I will make a summary when the book is finished.
that's all.
Happy National Day everyone.
