Chapter 134 Call Me Little Brother

"What happened?" Lady Chang'an asked softly.

But she came from there, so we can't afford to fall out with her now, otherwise how will we get her help later?

Lady Chang'an rose and took two steps forward, her smile kind and amiable. If it weren't for her sinister eyes, she would easily be believed.

She smiled at Jiang and said, "Today we came to the Jiang residence to propose marriage to the second young lady. It has been a long time since we've seen you. We sent someone to invite you, but you didn't come. So we thought we'd come and see you."

As she spoke, her concern became more and more obvious. "You took so long to open the door, are you not feeling well?"

Should I send someone to fetch a doctor to take a look at you?

Jiang Wei sneered, knowing perfectly well what they were up to. "Since you've seen it, I won't keep you company. Close the door."

Seeing that the old woman was about to close the door, Song Fangfang and Jiang Rou exchanged a glance and hurriedly went forward to block the door.

"Sister, the Lady of Chang'an Marquis has been coming to your door quite frequently. How can you be so rude as to not invite them in for a cup of tea!"

The two of them squeezed in with all their might. The old woman glanced at Jiang Wei and slowly reduced her strength. The two of them rushed into the courtyard and barely managed to steady themselves.

Seeing them like that, Lady Chang'an Hou hurried over and asked, "Fangfang, Rou'er, are you alright?"

Be careful of the baby in your belly.

Lady Chang'an was relieved to see that they were all alright.

She looked around the courtyard and said, "Your courtyard is quite unique; this is the first time I've ever been here!"

She used to look down on Jiang Wei and naturally refused to set foot in Jiang Wei's courtyard. How could she possibly give her such face?

She's here now entirely for her son, because he said he secretly inquired about details of the occasions Jiang Wei appeared with the First Prince, all of which proved that the First Prince had feelings for Jiang Wei; otherwise, she wouldn't have come.

Upon entering Jiang Wei's courtyard, her hatred surged into her heart, and she left Hou with almost nothing but four walls.

She has planted more precious flowers and plants than the Marquis's mansion.

Song Fangfang and Jiang Rou had already gone into the house on their own. Seeing this, Lady Chang'an followed them.

"Then I'll trouble you. Please come in and have a cup of tea."

As Song Fangfang and her companions approached the doorway, their eyes gleamed with undisguised greed as they looked at the contents of the house.

Lady Chang'an stepped forward and stood behind them. Although her gaze was a little more restrained than Song Fangfang's, it was no better.

'That wretched woman wreaked havoc on the Marquis's mansion, yet she's kept pampered like a princess.'

Lian Sang blocked the doorway, preventing them from entering.

They immediately started cursing, "You lowly maid, even your master didn't stop us, who do you think you are to dare block us from coming in? Get out of our way!"

Lian Sang still didn't move.

Song Fangfang turned to look at Jiang Wei, "Is this how ill-mannered you are? The guests are already at your door, why don't you invite them in?"

"Are you out of your mind? You've forgotten everything in just a few days? You really don't learn your lesson easily," Jiang Wei said.

“Lian Sang probably doesn’t recognize you. Can you help her remember?” Jiang Wei continued.

Lian Sang cracked his whip, and Song Fangfang felt a wave of fear wash over her from head to toe.

She quickly hid behind the Lady of Chang'an, calling out, "Mother."

Song Fangfang thought that the visitor was a guest, and that she wouldn't dare to lay a hand on Jiang Wei in her home, as it wouldn't sound good if word got out.

I never imagined she had gone mad.

She hid behind the Lady of Chang'an Marquis, only showing her head, and said, "Is this how you treat people when you invite them in?"

Besides, we're now related by marriage, and we'll inevitably have to see each other in the future. Do you really have to ruin things?"

"I invited you in?" Jiang Wei paused, "You...have no shame?"

“My courtyard has never welcomed people like you. Please get out.” Jiang Wei pointed at the door and cursed without any mercy.

Lady Chang'an was shocked. She had thought that Jiang Wei simply disliked them and couldn't do anything about it, since all guests were guests.

"As for your in-laws, she's just a concubine. She can hardly be considered a proper in-law!" Jiang Wei took a few steps to the side and fanned herself in the air with her handkerchief.

"You're barking at my door so early in the morning, disturbing my sleep! You'd better leave! I need to go back to sleep!"

After Jiang Wei finished speaking, Lian Sang waved his whip and began to drive people away.

She did have a headache; she drank too much rice wine last night and could never drink it again.

They really did inherit it. Her mother's alcohol tolerance was such that her younger brother could fall asleep after just one drink, while she was a little better, but not by much.

Song Fangfang glared at Jiang Wei with malice, about to hurl insults, but was stopped by a single look from the Lady of Chang'an.

She remembered what her son had said: it was best not to make enemies with Jiang Wei at this time.

She knew best what the Marquis's mansion was like now.

They were driven out, and the old women closed the door.

Jiang Wei returned to her room and rested on the chaise lounge.

I want to close my eyes and rest.

Suddenly a breeze arose beside her, and a familiar fragrance wafted into her nostrils.

She suddenly opened her eyes. "Didn't you already leave?"

Xiao Zhan: "..."

He didn't leave.

He was sitting in his room drinking tea when he turned around and saw Jiang Wei, who had taken off her outer clothes and was standing in the inner room, her graceful figure barely visible except for her inner garment, changing her clothes.

Feeling a little embarrassed, and adhering to the principle of not looking at or listening to anything improper, he secretly went out for some fresh air before returning.

Even now, when he sees Jiang Wei, the scene of Jiang Wei changing clothes just now will involuntarily pop into his mind.

Xiao Zhan's ears turned red without him even saying goodbye. "I didn't even say hello to you, how are you leaving!"

Xiao Zhan feigned composure, found a chair and sat down. "I haven't even had the tea yet, because I'm afraid they'll see me and it will damage your reputation. Please have another cup of tea with me now!"

Jiang Wei had no choice but to have tea served.

Dewdrop brought in tea and was startled to see Xiao Zhan still there, but thankfully she didn't scream.

Dewdrop put down the tea and left on her own.

"General Xiao, please have some tea." Jiang Wei poured tea for Xiao Zhan and placed it in front of him.

Xiao Zhan was clearly unhappy with the title, and just stared at Jiang Wei without offering her any tea.

"So you really don't want me anymore, your little brother?"

Are you not going to take responsibility for what happened last night?

Are you going to abandon me again?

Suppressing his nausea, Xiao Zhan clutched the hem of his robe and said, "Where on earth did Qingfeng find this kind of book?!"

If it doesn't work, he'll wait.

Jiang Wei was visibly flustered; what on earth had she done?

The way he talks about her makes her sound like a heartless man.

She forced a smile and said, "How could that be! I just don't remember."

After saying that, Jiang Wei felt like a heartless man.

Hearing her say that, Xiao Zhan's eyebrows relaxed a little. "That's good. Call him 'little brother'."
