Chapter 11 The Hanging Heart Finally Died

Jiang Sheng never expected that Jiang Nian would dare to come to the police station after causing trouble.

Upon seeing Jiang Nian, he immediately jumped up in anger and roared, "Jiang Nian, how dare you come to the police station by yourself? Do you know how serious your crime is?!"

Shenglan Real Estate's current development is largely thanks to the young master of the Song family's fondness for Ranran, which is why the Song family has provided considerable support to the Jiang family in recent years.

Jiang Sheng has been currying favor with the Song family for a long time, dreaming of becoming in-laws with them. He finally managed to build a good relationship with Madam Song, but now Jiang Nian is going to ruin it all.

Having a daughter like Jiang Nian is the worst luck he could ever have!

Unexpectedly, Jiang Nian didn't budge, her tone tinged with mockery: "Oh? What serious crime have I committed?"

"So you're Jiang Nian?" Madam Song sneered as she sat in her chair.

"The old man even promised some kind of betrothal, wanting someone as lowly as you to marry into the Song family. I think he's really senile!" Chao Yi said. "Tell me, did you hit our Wen Jing today?"

Jiang Nian's gaze fell on Song Wenjing, whose head was wrapped in gauze and whose face was bruised. She glanced at him and then looked away coolly: "He asked for it."

"You—" The usually elegant and composed lady's forehead veins throbbed violently. Madam Song was almost incredulous. "Jiang Nian, what did you say?!"

Jiang Nian lifted her leg and walked up to Song Wenjing.

Under everyone's shocked gaze, he grabbed Song Wenjing's chin.

They forced him to raise his head.

"What, you dare to complain to your mother after being wronged, but you don't dare to tell her why you got beaten up?"

"Who is the person who accused me of intentionally causing harm, and who came to ambush me after school with five thugs, intending to intimidate and teach me a lesson?"

"You're so weak, you got beaten up by a girl until your head was bleeding and you were knocked unconscious. And after you woke up, you still had the nerve to come and call the police. Young Master Song, don't you feel ashamed?"

Song Wenjing never expected that Jiang Nian would dare to be so bold in a place like the police station.

It was as if they didn't care about anyone here at all.

When Song Wenjing was reprimanded by having his chin grabbed in front of him, his face flushed and he felt a rush of blood to his head.

But then you look at the girl's face—exquisite and aloof features, porcelain-white skin with a cool undertone. A tiny red mole on her earlobe is striking, captivating and mesmerizing.

Song Wenjing was speechless, staring at Jiang Nian with a dry mouth: "You...I..."

"Jiang Nian! This is a police station! How dare you treat Brother Wen Jing like this? Let him go!" Jiang Ranran immediately came over and tried to pull him away.

Just a second before Jiang Ranran was about to touch her, Jiang Nian frowned in disgust and dodged away.

They were afraid of getting their hands dirty with the smell of garbage.

He looked at Deputy Director Lin standing next to him and said, "It's that simple. Song Wenjing brought people to block me first, and I beat them in self-defense."

“If they hadn’t knelt down, I would have been the one being bullied. I don’t think I did anything wrong.”

Only then did the police believe that it was indeed this slender girl who had beaten six tall, strong, and vigorous boys unconscious.

Madam Song trembled with rage, pointing her finger at Jiang Nian's nose: "Deputy Director Lin, do you see how arrogant Jiang Nian is? Arrest her! I want her to go to jail!"

Deputy Director Lin hesitated for a moment: "Madam Song, Jiang Nian is not yet eighteen years old, and Young Master Song's injury does not reach the level of minor injury, which is not enough to warrant imprisonment."

"At most, she'll be detained for assaulting someone..."

"Then detain her first!" Madam Song's eyes were vicious. "I want to see if she'll still be as arrogant as she is after being locked up for ten days or half a month!"

On one side is the wealthy and powerful Mrs. Song from Jiangcheng, and on the other side is a young girl from the countryside whom even her own father would love to detain immediately. It's obvious who she should listen to.

Deputy Director Lin, without hesitation, gave the order: "Men, go through the formalities and take Jiang Nian away to be locked up!"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ranran was overjoyed.

Jiang Nian is finished now!

She was detained on the first day of school for fighting, and Yingzhong will definitely expel her immediately. She might even have a criminal record.

Jiang Sheng looked disgusted, showing no pity for his own daughter: "Jiang Nian, you've brought this upon yourself, so don't blame me for not pleading for you."

"If you had apologized and begged for forgiveness to Young Master Song and Madam Song properly just now, you wouldn't have ended up like this!"

Seeing several police officers walking towards her, Jiang Nian sneered and kicked away the stool blocking her way with a bang.

She raised her eyes, a cold glint in them, and asked, "Are you sure you want to lock me up? I'm afraid you'll regret it."

This girl is absolutely outrageous!

He dares to be so arrogant in front of the deputy chief of the police station!

Jiang Ranran feigned ignorance: "Sister, you're not trying to stall for time and wait for your poor relatives to come and rescue you, are you?"

“This is Jiangcheng, not some remote mountain village. They have no right to speak here.”

Jiang Nian's attitude infuriated Deputy Director Lin: "What are you all standing there for? Go over there and handcuff her! This delinquent girl has gone too far!"

A police officer pressed down on Jiang Nian's shoulder, and with a click, a pair of cold handcuffs were directly cuffed onto the girl's slender wrists.

Seeing Jiang Nian handcuffed, Madam Song raised her chin triumphantly: "Remember this, Deputy Director Lin, don't let her out until she's locked up for half a month!"

Just then, a police officer rushed over and whispered in Deputy Director Lin's ear in a somewhat panicked tone, "Deputy Director, something's not right. Could you come and take a look?"

Deputy Director Lin said impatiently, "What is it? Let me deal with Jiang Nian first!"
