Chapter 20: First Identity Revealed - Warning!

The students in the class looked at each other in bewilderment.

Han Xu, however, was used to it and reached out to poke Jiang Nian: "Sister Nian, get up."

Jiang Nian wasn't actually asleep. She just couldn't sleep, and usually liked to lie face down with her eyes closed as a way to rest.

"Since it's over,"

Jiang Nian's expression was indifferent. She sat up and pushed a large stack of papers on the table in front of her forward. "Perfect, let's grade them."

The questions on this diagnostic test were a bit difficult, and Tang Qiuyue barely managed to finish them within two hours.

Excluding the questions I don't know, I estimate I can score around 700 points.

With a score of 700, that's enough to easily defeat Jiang Nian several times over.

She raised her chin, looking at Jiang Nian with a defiant expression: "You actually finished all nine sets of test papers?"

"What's the use of writing it all down? It's only useful if you can get the questions right and get the points. I want to see how many points you can get by doing nine sets of questions in two hours!"

While the exam was in progress, a reporter arrived at the top-performing class. The bet between Jiang Nian and Tang Qiuyue had caused a sensation throughout the senior year.

Jiang Ranran is a prominent figure at Yingzhong High School; she's beautiful, comes from a wealthy family, excels academically, and plays the cello. Meanwhile, her half-sister, who grew up in the countryside, got into fights, dropped out of school, and severed ties with her family—a truly tragic situation.

Many students from other classes also gathered outside their classrooms to watch the excitement.

Wu Ming found several teachers from other subjects, and following the answers, he graded Tang Qiuyue's paper on the spot, while the other teachers graded Jiang Nian's paper.

Wu Ming became more and more excited as he criticized, and breathed a long sigh of relief after he finished.

Tang Qiuyue is really impressive; she performed even better than in her previous final exams, scoring a total of 705 points.

With such high scores, it's a foregone conclusion that Jiang Nian will leave Yingzhong.

Turning around, I was dumbfounded.

Several teachers were seen sweating profusely as they graded Jiang Nian's test papers.

Wu Ming couldn't help but ask, "Teachers, what's wrong with you all?"

The math teacher looked up, wiped his sweat, and asked, "Ms. Wu, is it possible that Jiang Nian... cheated during the exam?"

Wu Ming was baffled and immediately said, "How is that possible? I was sitting right next to Jiang Nian proctoring the exam. If she were cheating, I couldn't possibly not have seen it."

The physics teacher on the other side also looked troubled: "Is it possible that the questions were leaked in advance? Are you sure that this student named Jiang Nian finished nine sets of papers in two hours?"

"Leaking the exam questions is even more impossible. There's only one set of this original exam paper. I took it directly out of the sealed bag. Unless the questions were leaked from the person who set the exam."

Wu Ming was even more confused, so he simply took a look at the papers that the teachers had marked and gasped.

The nine sets of test papers were covered with red checkmarks, not a single red cross, and were graded in large red pens.

Chinese, 100 points.

Mathematics, 150 points.

English, 95 points.

The other six courses each have a perfect score of 75.

After reviewing the nine sets of test papers, I found that I hadn't written the composition in Chinese, nor the listening and composition sections in English.

None of the answers Jiang Nian wrote down were wrong.

All correct.

100+150+95+450, total score 795.

Wu Ming's right hand trembled as he held the exam paper, and he exclaimed in disbelief, "This...how is this possible?"

The other teachers looked at him with expressions that said, "Now you know why we asked that question."

The top-performing students who gathered around were all stunned.

Not a single one of the answers I wrote was wrong. Even in the reading comprehension section of Chinese and the short answer analysis section of politics, I hit every single scoring point precisely.

This is not a bad student, he is just like Rin-shin, he is a genius!

No, he's even more powerful than Chi Lin.

Jiang Nian sat in her seat, leaning back in her chair.

Her slender legs were casually crossed, her dark eyes held a nonchalant glint, and she exuded a cool yet captivating aura.

He looked at Tang Qiuyue, who was staring in disbelief.

Like a verdict: "You lost."

"According to the bet, you should get out of Yingzhong."

"However, since these schemes against me were instigated by Jiang Ranran..."

"Tell her to get out, you can stay if you want."

Jiang Ranran thought Jiang Nian had let her go.

Unexpectedly, Jiang Nian wanted her and Tang Qiuya to fight like dogs.

Caught off guard by being called out, Jiang Ranran's lips turned pale, and her eyes instantly filled with tears. She thought of something and said, "Sister, how could you do this to me..."

Looking at Jiang Nian's test paper, she bit her lip and said, "That night, I heard you on the phone, asking who wanted the answers to the nine sets of original mock exam papers."

"I didn't expect you to have prepared for this all along. You memorized the answers so well, and you didn't get a single one wrong, which is why you got such a good score on the spot."

“I didn’t want to tell the truth. I wanted my sister to leave Yingzhong because I didn’t want her to do such a wrong thing because of vanity.”

"But sister, you've gone too far! Not only do you want to drive Qiuya away, you also want to drive me out of Yingzhong..."

--What?

Jiang Ranran said that Jiang Nian had obtained the answers to nine sets of mock exams in advance and memorized all the answers beforehand?

No wonder she suggested doing nine sets of practice papers!

No wonder she seemed to write down the answers to problems without even thinking!

Isn't this a complete lie?

[Thinking about it, it makes sense. How could someone who only scores a little over 100 points in nine subjects, ranking last, suddenly achieve such an incredible score of nearly 800?]

[The reason I don't write Chinese and English essays is probably because I can't memorize the standard answers! Even if I did memorize them, writing them down would still be considered cheating.]
