The person who arrived was none other than Feng Yingcai, the principal of Yingzhong Middle School!
It's important to know that Principal Feng is currently the Vice Minister of Education, and he only appears at the school on important occasions.
Why did Principal Feng suddenly come to the senior class today? He didn't even tell them beforehand!
Wu Ming and the other teachers rushed to greet them.
Despite being over sixty, Principal Feng was still in good spirits, his voice commanding even without anger, and he looked over with a stern face.
"Teacher Wu, I heard you're going to take this student, Jiang Nian, to see the vice principal. What's the matter?"
Why did the principal have to run into this mess?
Wu Ming smiled apologetically and explained with a hint of embarrassment.
"Principal, you don't know, this Jiang Nian is a new student who transferred to the top-performing class this semester. When have we ever admitted any top-performing students to our top-performing class? I don't know who she got the connections for."
"This student used to be last in her class at her rural high school and was expelled for fighting. That's not all. Today, she got the answers in advance to cheat on the placement test, just to get her sister and Tang Qiuya, a classmate, out of Yingzhong."
“You tell me, how serious is this? There are reporters waiting outside. If I don’t take her to the vice principal right away and get her expelled, all the good reputation of our school over the years will be ruined by her.”
Wu Ming believed that his words were perfectly watertight.
Unexpectedly, Principal Feng immediately let out a heavy snort, his eyes seemingly turning even colder.
"Teacher Wu, what evidence do you have that Jiang Nian cheated by getting the answers in advance?"
Wu Ming was taken aback when Principal Feng pressed him for details, and then spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Does this even need evidence? If you didn't have the answers, who could get all nine sets of questions right?"
"If she had done the essay and listening comprehension exercises as well, wouldn't she have been able to get a score of nearly 900?"
"If she were truly such a genius, how could she possibly stay in a place like Yao County to study, and even get expelled..."
"Shut up!"
Principal Feng took a deep breath in anger, "Teacher Wu, how can you, as a homeroom teacher, accuse a student of cheating without any evidence or proof, just based on your own imagination?!"
When Principal Feng got angry, everyone was terrified.
Wu Ming was stunned by the scolding and stared blankly at the principal: "Principal, what are you doing...?"
Principal Feng's chest heaved, his face full of anger: "You say Jiang Nian used someone's connections? Well, let me tell you, it was through my connections. I made several phone calls and personally invited Jiang Nian to study in the Yingzhong Special Class!"
"If I hadn't seen the live stream online, I wouldn't have known that Jiang Nian suffered so much injustice at Yingzhong High School. She was ridiculed on the forum, almost bullied in class, and even falsely accused of cheating on the exam. Ms. Wu, you've really done a great job as her homeroom teacher!"
These words caused an uproar in the room.
Wu Ming was completely dumbfounded, his mouth agape as if he could swallow an egg: "Principal, what did you say?!"
The live stream chat exploded like a thunderbolt thrown into a fishpond.
[Holy crap, did I hear that right? The principal invited Jiang Nian to Yingzhong? And the emphasis is on "invited"!]
[Who is this Jiang Nian that he could get the Vice Minister of Education to personally invite him?]
[Holy crap, do you guys remember the rumor that Principal Feng might transfer that globally sensational prodigy, J, to Yingzhong High School...]
[My God, could Jiang Nian be that J? This is too surreal!!]
The students in the classroom were completely bewildered and all turned to look at Jiang Nian.
Jiang Nian then slowly stood up, nodded to Principal Feng, and politely greeted him, "Principal Feng."
When Principal Feng looked at Jiang Nian, his anger instantly turned into kindness: "Little Nian, it's been seven years, you've grown into a beautiful young lady."
Seven years have passed since then. Wasn't it when Jiang Nian was ten years old that she met Principal Feng?
J was ten years old when he crushed others in math Olympiads both at home and abroad.
Jiang Ranran simply couldn't believe it and couldn't help but cry out.
"My sister is that J? How is that possible?!"
"She grew up in a poor, rural area like Yao County, how could she have ever been abroad?"
Jiang Ranran was so shocked that she spoke without thinking.
A single comment about being from a rural area offended many viewers in the live stream who also came from rural backgrounds. Many accused her of being condescending and looking down on people from the countryside.
Principal Feng then looked at Jiang Ranran with a cold expression, his eyes filled with undisguised contempt.
"You're Jiang Ranran? How dare you ask? You and Jiang Nian are sisters. You grew up in Jiangcheng, but your father abandoned Jiang Nian in Yao County and has ignored her for so many years."
“If any of you had inquired about Jiang Nian’s situation over the past ten years or so, you would know that she was taken abroad when she was a child. That’s why I met her when I went abroad for an exchange program, discovered her potential, and took her to participate in competitions.”
"Your sister could get full marks on the math Olympiad problems when she was ten years old. Now that she's seventeen, what's so strange about her getting full marks on all the high school math problems? She's been a genius since she was a child."
"They even said Jiang Nian got the answers in advance. I really want to know, who in Yingzhong has such great ability to get all the answers to the mock exam for the students in advance!"
Jiang Nian, she was actually taken abroad?!
She and her parents had absolutely no idea!
Jiang Ranran persisted, asking, "Principal, I still think you've mistaken me for someone else."
"If my sister is really that good, why did she get the lowest score in Yaoxian High School, scoring only a little over 100 points in nine subjects?"
