After hearing this, Su Ya quickly pushed open the door to the ward.
The thin woman on the bed was smiling as she accepted Su's father's criticism.
"Look at you, how can you be so careless with your health? You were in a coma for over ten years and finally woke up, only to exhaust yourself and end up in the hospital again. Did you forget the doctor told you to rest properly?"
Su's father was still talking on and on.
Su's mother saw her daughter, Su Ya, come in.
He quickly tugged at Su's father's sleeve.
I don't want my daughter to see my current embarrassing state.
Mr. Su, oblivious to his wife's implication, continued, "Don't give me that look. You think I'll forgive you so easily? While I might fall for that, do you know how I've managed all these years, being both father and mother to you? I finally managed to wake you up. And now, after only two days, you're ruining your health like this. Did you even think about my feelings, about the children? If anything happens to you, I don't want to live anymore. Besides, if you want to knit a scarf for our daughter, why not wait until you're fully recovered? A few more days won't make a difference!"
Su's father's voice was clearly trembling with sobs, but he suppressed them.
Then they heard Su's mother mutter softly, "New Year's Day is almost here."
"New Year's Day? What's wrong with New Year's Day now?"
"Stop talking, our daughter is here."
Seeing that the man wasn't very bright, Su's mother gave him a hint.
Upon hearing that his daughter had arrived, Su's father's expression immediately changed.
It was as if the person just now wasn't him.
"Ya Ya, you're back."
Su Ya had no idea that her father was so talkative, and that he would act like a child wanting candy and even be affectionate.
So he pretended not to know what Su's father had just done.
"I'm back. I just went downstairs for a walk."
Su's father knew why his daughter left, but he wouldn't reveal it to her.
Although Su's father did not understand what Su's mother had just said.
But the clever Suya had already figured it out.
Su's mother meant that New Year's Day was approaching, and the weather in Kyoto had four distinct seasons. It would get warm a few days after New Year's Day, so there would be no need for a scarf.
However, Su Ya's birthday is a few days after New Year's Day, and Su's mother wanted to prepare a birthday gift for her daughter herself.
That's why I was in such a hurry to finish knitting the scarf before Suya's birthday.
"Mom, there's no rush. Once you're better, I'll stay by your side."
At this moment, Su Ya's true feelings were revealed, and the words she spoke were very moving.
"Okay, Mom will listen to you. Your dad said you went out just now. Is it cold outside? Mom is fine, don't worry."
"Mom, don't worry, it's not cold outside."
"Dad, when are we going home?"
Su Ya asked.
She had time to worry, thinking of going home to give her mother another acupuncture treatment to strengthen her body, and also to prepare some local specialties for her mother. Her body was still too weak. Although she had woken up, her vital energy was greatly depleted, and she would probably need to recuperate for a long time.
"You stay with your mother, I'll go ask the doctor."
After saying that, Su's father went out.
As I stepped out of the ward, I saw my eldest son still waiting outside.
When Su Linzhe saw his father come out, he quickly asked him about it.
"Dad, how is Mom?"
Looking at his eldest son, Su's father realized that he had neglected him since his daughter returned. But then he thought, boys shouldn't be spoiled.
So the voice became cold.
"It's alright, go in and take a look."
Then he walked toward the doctor's office.
Su Linzhe then pushed open the door to the ward. His younger sister said something, and his mother had a smile on her face. Su Linzhe composed himself before approaching the bedside.
"Mom, you're awake."
"Lin Zhe, you've arrived."
"Your sister just told me a joke."
Su Linzhe was surprised. Although he had only been home for a few days, after getting to know his sister, he found that she was not very expressive and always seemed unapproachable. He never expected that she could tell jokes and make their mother laugh.
"Little sister, you can do this too? What is it? Tell your big brother too."
Her response was just the back of her head.
"Mom, look how biased my sister is. She tells you jokes, but she won't tell them to me, her older brother."
Su Ya felt a little uncomfortable. Although she had accepted her mother, she still felt somewhat unfamiliar to her father and older brother. Perhaps it was because she came from her mother's womb, Su Ya could only explain to herself.
Su's mother laughed and said, "You're such a grown-up, why are you still teasing your little sister?"
"Mom, I'll go buy you some porridge. You've just woken up and your body is still weak, so you can only eat easily digestible food."
"But ever since I woke up, I've been eating plain porridge almost every day, and my mouth feels like it has no taste at all."
"Well, I'll think of something."
Su Linzhe never expected his younger sister to be so accommodating to their mother.
He suddenly felt a pang of envy, jealousy, and even hatred.
Unfortunately, this is his own younger sister.
After Su Ya went downstairs and out of the hospital gate, she was walking towards the main entrance.
Then I saw a familiar face at the hospital entrance.
Why is it Ye Qinchuan?
Why hasn't he left yet?
He stood there, looking right up to the hospital entrance, as if he were waiting for someone.
I hadn't looked closely before, but now I realize this person is quite handsome. The black wool coat he's wearing makes his body look even taller and more slender. His dark, deep-set eyes give him a wild and unrestrained air, and he exudes a kingly aura that commands respect. His thin, tightly closed lips also give him a cold and aloof appearance.
These two qualities are contradictory, yet simultaneously, they don't feel natural in his body.
Su Ya walked over without looking at him.
He then heard someone behind him calling out, "Miss, please wait a moment!"
Su Ya stopped in her tracks. Slowly, she turned her head and looked at the man in front of her. She heard him say, "I'm sorry, I know I was being a bit presumptuous, but this is only the third time we've met, and I still don't know your name."
Su Ya: "I believe that with Young Master Ye's abilities in Kyoto, it would only take him a few minutes to investigate someone, right?"
"You know who I am."
Suya remained noncommittal. She simply looked at him.
"I admit, I could easily find your information, Miss. But I don't want to do that because I feel we're friends, and shouldn't friends tell each other directly?"
"Have you ever met a friend who doesn't even know his friend's name?"
Su Ya retorted with a retort.
Then Ye Qinchuan surprisingly wasn't angry, which was different from the rumors.
He continued in a pleading tone, "So, may I ask, beautiful lady, would you be willing to tell me your name?"
