Chapter 343 Old Master Tang is seriously ill

Her face still bore traces of tears. What happened? Why did I dream of Grandpa?

Tang Lijiao said to herself.

She sat up, and just then the maid came in. Seeing that she was awake, she went up to her and said, "My older brother has been waiting downstairs for two hours."

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Tang Lijiao said reproachfully.

The servants remained silent, partly because the Tang family and the Su family had severed ties, and partly because the master had instructed them not to wake the madam if she was sleeping, but to let her wake up naturally. The kitchen was to prepare food so that the madam could eat whenever she woke up.

Tang Lijiao quickly tidied herself up and then took the elevator downstairs.

I saw my older brother, whom I hadn't seen for fourteen years.

She was very excited, afraid that it was all a dream.

She walked step by step toward her elder brother. As she got closer, she saw that he looked rather old and his complexion was not good.

"Big brother, what brings you here? Did something happen to Grandpa?"

Tang Wenhao heard his sister's voice and looked up. He saw that his sister was still the same as before; time had not left too many marks on her.

How did you come to the conclusion that it was Grandpa?

"I just dreamt about Grandpa. He said he was going to find Grandma and told me to be good to him from now on. Big brother, do you think something happened to Grandpa?"

At this point, Tang Lijiao was already in tears.

"Little sister, don't worry, Grandpa is fine for now, he just wants to see you."

Tang Wenhao couldn't bear to tell his grandfather about his current situation.

"Then what are we waiting for? Take us to see Grandpa."

"good."

"Madam, aren't you going to tell the master?"

"If, sir, ask, just say I went to the Tang family."

Tang Lijiao thought for a moment and then said.

"Madam, please wait a moment, I'll go get you a coat. It's cold outside."

After the maid finished speaking, she went upstairs to get her coat.

Tang Lijiao felt uneasy for some reason, and before the maid could bring her coat, she urged her older brother to hurry up and leave.

"Brother, let's go."

"Why."

By the time the maid brought Tang Lijiao's clothes from the bedroom upstairs, all that could be seen was the rear of the car outside the villa.

The maid immediately reported the matter to the housekeeper.

The housekeeper then told Su Qinghai.

Su Qinghai said, "Alright, let Madam go. If it gets too late, have Old Hu go to the Tang family to bring the person back."

Since Su Ya was on vacation, driver Lao Hu had nothing to do and was basically on standby randomly.

Tang Wenhao drove Tang Lijiao towards Jingqiao Hospital, and only then did Tang Lijiao realize that this was not her parents' home.

"Big brother, where are we going?"

"Lijiao, brother, I won't hide it from you anymore, Grandpa is sick and in the hospital right now. His condition might be..."

Tang Wenhao did not finish his sentence.

But Tang Lijiao also knew what her older brother wanted to say: Grandpa was sick, and very seriously ill; she might never see him again.

When they arrived at the hospital and went upstairs, Tang Lijiao could see her father, Tang Xingxian, standing anxiously outside the ICU ward.

My father has grown old; his hair has turned gray, and his back is somewhat hunched.

Tang Lijiao held back her tears and called out, "Dad."

Tang Xingxian had no idea that she hadn't heard her daughter call her name for fourteen years.

They couldn't react for a moment.

He followed the sound and saw his daughter standing about 2 meters away from him. Because he was strict with her when she was little, his daughter was afraid of him and always kept a distance of 2 meters when she spoke to him.

"You've arrived."

Tang Xingxian said indifferently.

"Yes, I know. I've come to see Grandpa."

"Go ahead, your grandfather will definitely want to see you."

Visits to the ICU require an application. When the eldest son, Tang Wenhao, went to see his daughter, Tang Xingxian had already spoken to the hospital director.

So there were already nurses waiting at the door.

She led Tang Lijiao into the adjacent changing room and changed into sterile clothes.

When Tang Lijiao went in, she saw her grandfather's thin face under the ventilator; his complexion looked even paler than before.

Tears streamed down her face uncontrollably. She sobbed into her grandfather's ear, "Grandpa, it's me, Lijiao. Look at me."

Grandpa Tang heard someone calling him and struggled to open his eyes.

He saw his most beloved granddaughter right in front of him. He thought he was dreaming. He hadn't seen her since the last time. Later, his health deteriorated, and every night he dreamed of his deceased wife and his most beloved granddaughter.

He uttered a few words intermittently. “Li-jiao, you’re here. Grandpa’s alright.”

It took Mr. Tang a lot of effort to say those words.

"Grandpa, it's me, Lijiao. I've come to see you."

"I'm just happy to see you one last time. You have to take good care of yourself."

"Grandpa, you'll be alright. You'll definitely get better."

Tang Lijiao was already crying her eyes out. She never expected that seeing her grandfather again would be like this.

“Ya-Ya, that child, it wasn’t easy. You must make it up to her for your grandfather.”

After saying that, Grandpa Tang closed his eyes.

"Grandpa, what's wrong?"

Tang Lijiao panicked.

Tang Lijiao quickly pressed the call button on the wall.

"Where's the doctor? Where's the doctor? Please save my grandpa!"

Soon, the doctor came in.

After checking him over, he said, "It's nothing, Grandpa Tang. He just fainted because he was too excited."

Tang Lijiao was relieved to hear this.

She really thought her grandfather had passed away.

"Grandpa, don't worry, I will save you."

Tang Lijiao knew that it was Su Ya who had saved her. She had guessed it. After her daughter Su Ya gave her acupuncture for the first time, although she hadn't woken up, she was conscious. She knew that her daughter came to check her pulse every day, and since taking some kind of medicine that her daughter had given her, her health had been getting better and better.

I learned from her husband, Su Qinghai, that over the past ten years, they had consulted many doctors and tried all sorts of folk remedies, both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. But she had never regained consciousness. However, not long after her daughter returned, she suddenly woke up.

So all of this must be related to her daughter.

Maybe the daughter can save her grandfather.

However, she couldn't tell the Tang family about this. What if she guessed wrong and it might harm her daughter?

Therefore, this matter can only be done secretly.

Tang Lijiao wiped away her tears, left the ICU, said goodbye to her father and older brother outside, and then left.

The older brother offered to give her a ride, but she refused. Her mind is in a mess right now, and she needs to calm down and think things through.

As soon as they arrived outside the hospital gate, they saw Old Hu, the Su family's driver, already waiting.
