Inside the car, A-Rang reported He Ci's itinerary for the day in detail.
He owns a listed company, but he cannot expose it to the public because of his family's shady business.
To outsiders, he was a glamorous gangster prince, always surrounded by followers wherever he went.
No one knows how much he loathes this identity. Because of it, he has never had a good night's sleep, for fear that he might accidentally fall asleep and be killed.
He Ci had always wanted to disband the gang and turn his family's business from shady to legitimate. The Qinghai Gang was the largest gang in X Port, and his father was its leader.
The Qinghai Gang is very powerful, with seventy-two branches, ranging from incense masters to marshals, red sticks, paper fans, and straw sandals. Even the local police can't do anything about them.
The car stopped in front of a high-rise building with more than 20 floors. He Ci got out of the car and went straight to the president's office.
Qi Yan saw this uninvited guest as soon as he entered, and he made a teasing remark.
"Wow! Our big boss has finally decided to come to work."
He Ci lay on the sofa, toying with the lighter in his hand. "Do me a favor!"
Qi Yan walked over and sat down next to him. "Tell me about it, and let's see if I can do it, brother."
He Ci stood up and said leisurely, "Help me find a larger storefront, preferably in a place with lots of people."
Qi Yan was puzzled! "Aci, what's the point of you looking for a storefront? You don't even care about such a big company, yet you're still causing trouble."
He Ci patted him on the shoulder, "Work hard, I'll give you a bonus for the New Year."
Qi Yan was speechless. "I've been working like a slave for you here, and you're just going to try and get rid of me with a bonus?"
"If you think it's too little, then cancel the bonus and do the mandatory labor."
After He Ci finished speaking, Qi Yan almost knelt down, "Brother, you're my own brother, so feel free to shower me with money!"
He Ci didn't want to waste time. After all, the company was nominally Qi Yan's, but in reality, he was the real boss. Staying too long would arouse suspicion.
"Get me 50,000 yuan in cash, I need it."
Qi Yan didn't ask why, and went straight to open the safe. Inside, there was a lot of money stored in colorful containers. Qi Yan took out 50,000 yuan, wrapped it in newspaper, and handed it to He Ci.
He Ci took the money and got up to leave, but Qi Yan hesitated to speak.
"A-Ci, you never used company money before, but this time...?"
He Ci smiled and said, "My cat is very clean, and I don't have the money to support her."
Qi Yan was completely bewildered. What did raising a cat have to do with money? "What breed is your cat? It's really pampered."
As He Ci walked, he said, "My cat is one of a kind and priceless. Remember to contact me when you find a good storefront."
Su Ning walked down the bustling street. No wonder everyone wanted to come here to make money. She had been here for almost a month, and now that she had a visa, she could openly look for work.
Seeing that the money she brought was almost gone, she needed to find a job as soon as possible or she would go hungry.
It was almost noon when Su Ning found a clean place to sit down. She was eating the leftover steamed bun from breakfast while flipping through the newspaper and making notes.
Good jobs require a degree, and she only graduated from high school, which doesn't meet the requirements at all. She doesn't want to work in a restaurant; there are all sorts of people there, and she doesn't want to take the risk.
Su Ning was intently looking at the job postings when a shadow fell over her head, blocking out the light. Su Ning looked up and saw a pretty girl staring at the newspaper in her hand.
When the girl saw Su Ning's gaze, she gave an awkward smile.
"Hello, my name is Bai Weiwei. Are you also looking for a job?"
Su Ning was very wary. She ignored the girl; she had learned her lesson once and was now afraid to talk to strangers.
Bai Weiwei wasn't angry. It was good to be cautious when you're out and about. She continued talking to Su Ning.
"Miss, can I borrow your newspaper? I'm also looking for a job."
Su Ning looked at the newspaper in her hand; she had basically finished reading it. She then handed it to the girl, got up, and left.
