Chapter 20 The Thug Leader

The day passed quickly, and Su Ning and Bai Weiwei had become good friends after spending the afternoon together.

Bai Weiwei is a native of this area, a true-blue Hong Konger.

After spending an afternoon together, Su Ning quickly grew to like this cheerful girl. Bai Weiwei also liked Su Ning very much. The two hit it off immediately and were almost ready to become sworn brothers.

As darkness fell, Bai Weiwei, reluctant to let Su Ning leave, insisted on inviting her to dinner, and Su Ning had no choice but to agree.

When He Ci returned home, he didn't see Su Ning. The quiet room was empty, and he felt a little uneasy looking at the sky outside.

Su Ning looked at the food in front of her and said, "Weiwei, can the two of us finish all this?"

Bai Weiwei handed her a pair of chopsticks, "Ning'er, the food here is delicious, try it quickly."

Su Ning didn't want her to spend so much money, after all, the other person had saved her during the day, and now she only had a limited amount of money in her pocket, so she simply couldn't afford to treat her to this meal.

Bai Weiwei was afraid that Su Ning would feel burdened, so she spoke half-truthfully.

"Ning'er, aren't you touched? How about you become my sister-in-law?"

Su Ning almost choked on the food she was about to eat. "Weiwei, does your brother know you're finding him a wife?"

Bai Weiwei thought Su Ning had agreed, and she excitedly grabbed Su Ning's hand and slowly spoke.

"Ning'er, you don't need my brother's approval to be my sister-in-law, as long as my mother and I like it."

"Your brother is really pitiful. What if he's blind or lame? Would you still take him home as your sister-in-law?"

Su Ning and Bai Weiwei looked at the speaker at the same time. They saw He Ci slowly walking towards them from not far away. Bai Weiwei suddenly stood up when she saw He Ci.

"What are you saying, you hooligan leader! Even a blind man or a cripple wouldn't want you."

He Ci stopped in front of the two of them and said, "Are you so desperate for a sister-in-law? Just how ugly does your brother have to be your sister to help him find a wife?"

Bai Weiwei was so angry that she wanted to smash the plate on the table over his face. "You pervert, I'm going home and telling my brother to arrest you."

Seeing Bai Weiwei jumping up and down in anger, Su Ning reached out and pulled He Ci's hand, signaling him to stop talking.

Seeing Su Ning's obedient appearance, He Ci sat down next to her. Bai Weiwei roared angrily when she saw He Ci sit down.

"Hey! You damn scoundrel, stay away from my Ning'er."

He Ci not only didn't move, but also picked up Su Ning's chopsticks, took a piece of meat, and put it in his mouth. Su Ning wanted to say that it was the one she had used, but Bai Weiwei snatched the chopsticks from He Ci's hand.

"You pervert, I'm warning you, get out of here right now. If you dare to harass Ning'er, I'll call the police and have you arrested."

He Ci just wanted to mess with Bai Weiwei. It was one thing for her to call him a hooligan on a regular basis, but today she actually dared to steal his girlfriend. He could tolerate it, but he absolutely could not.

He Ci stood up and pulled Su Ning away, saying, "Excuse me, I'm taking your sister-in-law with me."

Bai Weiwei got anxious, "You scoundrel, let go of Ning'er, or I'll get rough with you!"

Su Ning was afraid that the two would actually fight, so she spoke up at the right moment.

"Ci-ge, stop teasing Weiwei. You're making her almost cry."

He Ci affectionately pinched Su Ning's nose, "Aren't you afraid I'll worry if you don't go home so late?" His tone was so gentle it could seduce someone.

Bai Weiwei was dumbfounded. "Ning'er, do you know this gangster leader?"

Su Ning smiled and nodded, "Weiwei, is there some misunderstanding between you and Brother Ci? He's a very nice person."

Bai Weiwei was afraid that Su Ning would be deceived by He Ci's appearance, so she quickly pulled Su Ning to her side.

"Ning'er, you don't know this yet! He's a gang leader. Stay away from him so you don't get corrupted."

He Ci pulled Su Ning close and put his arm around her shoulder, then spoke provocatively to Bai Weiwei.

"You're too late. Ning'er is mine. If you want a sister-in-law, go find someone else."

Bai Weiwei looked at the two of them in disbelief. Such a gentle and beautiful girl had actually been ruined by He Ci, that scoundrel. She was so angry, what could she do?
