Chapter 21 An Encounter Across the Ocean

Inside the car, He Ci looked at Su Ning with a wronged expression.

"Ning'er! I'm not a hooligan, don't listen to that brat's nonsense."

Su Ning smiled faintly, "Brother Ci! You're not a gentleman at all. Weiwei is a girl, you should be more considerate of her."

He Ci pinched Su Ning's cheek. "You're still defending her? She's just a crazy girl who always ruins my reputation."

"Also, you absolutely must not become her sister-in-law. Her brother is fierce, not as gentle as me. He's twenty-eight and no girl likes him, yet he sends his sister out to deceive young girls."

Bai Yi, don't blame your brother for being disloyal; it was your sister who tried to steal my girlfriend first.

The two chatted and laughed as they returned home, and He Ci mysteriously pressed Su Ning down to sit on the sofa.

"Ning'er! This is for you."

Su Ning watched as He Ci took the envelope from his hand; inside was a thick wad of cash, worth at least ten thousand.

This was the first time Su Ning had ever seen so much money. She was so startled that she quickly withdrew her hand and returned the money.

"Brother Ci! What are you doing?"

He Ci stuffed the money back into Su Ning's hand, saying, "I don't want you to work too hard. I can support you."

Tears welled up in Su Ningming's bright eyes. "Thank you, Brother Ci! I can't accept this money."

"My parents taught me from a young age that one should be down-to-earth and that nothing comes without hard work."

He Ci felt that her parents had raised her very well; if it were any other woman in his life, they would probably have already pounced on her and fawned over her.

"If you don't want it, then don't. But don't cry. I just feel sorry for you because you leave early and come home late every day."

After spending almost a month together, he had basically figured out Su Ning's temperament.

Forcing it on would backfire; he hadn't considered things carefully and had scared Su Ning.

"You can refuse the money, but you can't refuse this."

Su Ning looked at the new phone he handed her, unsure whether to accept it or not.

He Ci pretended to be angry and said, "If you don't want it, I'll just throw it away. Anyway, you don't care about it."

After saying this, He Ci got up and walked towards the balcony, but Su Ning quickly stopped him.

"No, how can you just throw away something so valuable?"

He Ci's lips curled up, "If you don't want it, I don't need it either, so I might as well throw it away."

"I want it, Brother Ci."

He Ci felt like a beast after hearing the words, "Brother Ci, I'm going to make him feel numb all over."

He could easily misunderstand something a young girl could say. He tightened his throat. If it were any other woman, he would have already made a dirty joke.

He Ci's voice was terribly hoarse. He stared at Su Ning with deep affection, as if he wanted to meld her into his body.

"Ning'er! Although I'm a bit of a scoundrel, I'm still a person who respects my integrity. This is the first time I've ever fallen for someone. Can you give me a chance to pursue you?"

Su Ning was stunned speechless by the sudden confession, and she looked at He Ci nervously and helplessly.

"I...I..."

The two gazed at each other affectionately, and He Ci slowly moved closer to Su Ning's pink lips, while Su Ning's palms were sweaty with nervousness.

He Ci was also very nervous. He reached out his large hand and covered Su Ning's wet, watery eyes.

Su Ning dared not move. Everything was pitch black before her eyes until their lips touched. Su Ning's body trembled violently.

He Ci's kiss was gentle and careful at first, but slowly his long tongue went straight in and swirled around in Su Ning's mouth.

Su Ning's heart was in turmoil. This was her first kiss, and the tenderness in her heart made her slowly respond.

He Ci felt encouraged by Su Ning's response, and her awkward kiss made He Ci feel uncomfortable all over.

He Ci slowly withdrew from Su Ning's lips. Su Ning didn't dare to look at him, her head almost touching her chest.

He Ci pulled her into his arms, "Ning'er! You are the best gift God has given me, bringing us together across the ocean."

Su Ning listened quietly in his arms. Yes! It wasn't just that they had crossed oceans and almost lost their lives.
