He Ci drove to Rose Community and saw Su Ning's car downstairs. He breathed a long sigh of relief.
Seeing that the kitchen lights were still on on the third floor, and that he could even see Su Ning busy at work, his heart softened.
Hearing the noise at the door, Su Ning spoke without turning her head.
"Brother Ci, the food will be ready soon. Please wash up first."
He Ci came to the kitchen and wrapped his arms around Su Ning's waist from behind. The long-lost sense of familiarity, the long-lost little woman, and his beloved little darling all returned.
"Honey, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have argued with you. I'm a man, and I didn't even have any manners. Please don't be angry with me anymore, okay?"
Su Ning turned around and smiled gently, "Husband, I was wrong too. I should have spoken to you properly. You always wanted me to stand up for myself. Bai Yi is not an obstacle between us. He is both my mentor and my friend."
He Ci buried his head in Su Ning's neck, his voice still carrying a hint of grievance.
“You treat him so well, almost as well as I do, and he’s been with you for the past three years. I feel insecure.”
Su Ning reassured him, "Mr. He, are you really that insecure? If I wanted to betray you, I would have been with Bai Yi three years ago. Even if you came back, there would be no place for me."
He Ci hugged her even tighter. "Mrs. He, don't stab me in the chest. If you dare to be with Bai Yi, I... I will..."
Su Ning looked at him with a smile, "What about Mr. He?"

Bai Yi's voice was loud and impassioned. Upon hearing it, the people outside all stood up and saluted in one direction. Gao Yaoguang knew that Bai Yi would never follow in his footsteps.
Bai Yi is now the section chief. Gao Yaoguang hasn't left yet, so his office is temporarily located in his old office.
Bai Yi never expected to be able to return one day, but everything had changed. The tables and chairs were still there, but the brothers who followed him were gone.
